I have a function which iterates through the TextBoxes in my form (and its child controls) and adds each TextBox's name and text to an ArrayList using a structure I called valTxtBox.

Now, the problem is that if I call Clear() for valsTxtBox in the getctrls() function, not all the elements get added to the ArrayList. However, if I don't call Clear() it works just fine. BTW, I'm using VS2008 express which might be relevant.
I am trying to understand the do until loop when adding numbers along with a variable to a new line in a textbox, incrementing each time. My current example is very simple but only returns the first value. I require the output to be incremented automatically, so I thought a do until loop would be best.

ok the problem is that when a button is click I want it to add 1 (+1) to a textbox. This process will keep on going on till I tell it not to...How would I just keep a running total of whats happening in the textbox...What I mean to say is that if I pressed the button 10 times, instead of it showing:111111111 I want it to automatically add the numbers up to show 10 instead.

When the button is clicked, it gathers the list of numbers from the test.txt file and displays it in the textbox. Now what I want to do is make a label so that after it streams the data and displays it in it's multi-line text box, is for every 10 and 1 displayed on one line, it will subtract 1 from the number in the label. For every 2,3,4,5,6 I want it to add 1. For every 7,8,9 it will not add anything.For those who can tell I'm a blackjack fan and I was curious on how to keep a running count in a label from a multi line list of numbers.
What I need is to take numbers from several textboxes (4 rows, 5 columns) and put them into an array. I was able to successfully do this with the string data, but there were only 5 items, and I'm not quite sure I did that right although it works. I've seen in the book how to get data from input boxes and listboxes but not textboxes. BTW-I've included my code, but this is only from one of the forms for this project.

I have figured out getting the time values and getting the time differences between travel start and travel finish. View 6 RepliesI'm trying to do is take each item from an arraylist, that is populated through a structure read from textfiles, then loop through them adding each result from the arraylist to a new line in a textbox. What I'm getting is that it's adding only the last item to the textbox rather than listing them, yes I have multiline set to true. Because of the potential size of the arraylist I have it running in a background worker. Once it's complete then I'm trying to populate the textbox. I am making a program that when you click a checkbox it will add a corresponding list of items to a textbox. The only problem is that I have lists that are about 20-30 lines long, and all I know how to do is items.add "item" I was wondering if any one knew a way that I could add a long list without out items.add.
