Mar 5, 2012I have a routine where I click on an image in picturebox1. When the user clicks I need picturebox 2 to show a section of the image in picturebox1 centered on the users click but zoomed in. I have the following function which is doing exactly what I want it to do (except properly zoom in.) I have been able to achieve something that appears to be a zoom but it no longer centers on the clicked point.

Dec 31, 2010I'm trying to extract a piece of text from within the string, defining both a starting point and an ending point. For instance, say I want to search for the text found between "That is a " and " car" in the string "That is a red car", so it would return "red".I know you can use .SelectionStart and SelectionLength, but the length of the word can change, so the selection length can vary. What I want is to establish a specific starting point and a specific ending point from which to extract the text from the string.

Now, the problem is that if I call Clear() for valsTxtBox in the getctrls() function, not all the elements get added to the ArrayList. However, if I don't call Clear() it works just fine. BTW, I'm using VS2008 express which might be relevant.

Sep 14, 2010I have an application that allows the user to define text in a rich textbox. I would like to give the user the ability to define text for one or more languages. I don't think this will be a problem using the rich textbox as it allows for unicode characters and DBCS (please let me know if this is incorrect). My question is, I display this text throughout the app in other controls as well, such as a listbox, label, etc. by acquiring the RTF's Text property (plain text). Are there problems with other controls displaying unicode/DBCS characters? I realize that I may have to toggle the font of the control in question depending on the language (I will allow the user to specify a default font per language).
