Allows The User To Define Text In A Rich Textbox?

I have an application that allows the user to define text in a rich textbox. I would like to give the user the ability to define text for one or more languages. I don't think this will be a problem using the rich textbox as it allows for unicode characters and DBCS (please let me know if this is incorrect). My question is, I display this text throughout the app in other controls as well, such as a listbox, label, etc. by acquiring the RTF's Text property (plain text). Are there problems with other controls displaying unicode/DBCS characters? I realize that I may have to toggle the font of the control in question depending on the language (I will allow the user to specify a default font per language).

I have a rich text box which I use in order the user is able to add pictures, coloured writing, different font etc... however I need to load specific text in the rich text box when the user load the Form.how I can add (I guess) the HTML to load this every time the user load the form.
P.S the text will change depending on who loads the form so I can not do a simple

I have created a User Control (UC) where user type the information it needed and save it ti MS SQL Database and also have created a User Control dedicated for it's button, since my main form has split container and has two panels, one for UC which contain the button only and the other one for my Main UC where user enter the information.I created a Module that contain the function on adding the data type in UC Main to the database.

on My UCButton named "Save" I just call the function AddUserInformation. But the problem is the variable where it bind to the ucUserControlMain textbox remains Blank, When i query the my database table, only the UserInforID and the DateAdded has been updated and the other column remains blank where the variable get it in the UCMain Textbox...

On the main form of my application, I have a Rich Text Box which is where the user will be entering information. The text is black. then, i have a button which calls the dialogue "Notes" A dialogue appears, with a rich text box. the user should then be able to enter text into the box, click "OK", and the text entered into the Notes dialogue be inserted to the rich text box on the main form -- with the font colour "Red". The rest of the text in the main rich text box on the main form should remain black.

I'm Making a Simple syntax highlighter and I'm Doing the highlighting in the text Changed event of a RTB and for obvious reasons I can't re highlight the whole document each time someone presses a key so i highlight one line each time the text changes. But this creates a Problem. If someone pastes code into the RichTextBox It only highlights the last Line. So is there a way to get if the user typed the text in with his keyboard or pasted it from the clipboard in the text Changed event?

I am trying to open up a text file that contains some text. I have 3 text boxes on my screen. What I need to figure out is how to replace multiple words (1 in each textbox) with text it finds in the txt file.
I can do this by using the single find / replace feature but I'm trying to be able to fill out the 3 textboxes and then click my find / replace button to have my Regex find each predefined word and replace it with what is in the text boxes.
Here is my code to get the find / replace one word at time feature. I've tinkered with this to just add more variables to my Regex but it doesn't seem to work.

I want a text in my textbox in gray that dissapears when the user clicks in the textbox.I am not sure if that is a good enough explanaition so here is an example:You often have search boxes on websites or application.In the searchbox there often is a text like "search", "keyword", "type here".As soon as you click with your mouse inside the textbox it dissapears.I could make this in code but I was wondering if there already is a textbox property for this?

I'd like to create a user-defined data type in VB.NET but don't know how to do it.Take an example.......say there's a variable to control the action of a timer control. The possible actions would be "no action", "run timer", and "stop timer."I could do this with an integer (e.g. 0=no action, 1=run timer, 2=stop timer), but I'd rather create a data type so that the options are more explanatory than a simple integer. My freeware program launches 50 freeware programs and provides a guide for PC maintenance and health. As mentioned in another post, my program was reviewed on Sofpedia. One thing the Reviewer criticized was the fact that my program requires the user to install these 50 programs in the default locations (usually C:Program Filesx). The reviewer thinks it would be best if the user can install to any location he/she desires and my program be able to point to the proper location when launching the application.

I need to be able to allow the user to type in a file name and folder location into a textbox then when you run the program (that the client makes) it will create a program in that location. The problem is that when it runs it says that access to the folder is denied. I Think it is because it is that there is a file with the same name as the folder. The input as of now i have it as "C:\Another Folder\Filename.exe" but when I do this it creates two folders (Another folder and Filename.exe)... I thought that you could do it using substrings and last index of but either i wasn't doing it correctly or it doesn't work. I want to be able to do this from one textbox.
