I have the above code sniplet. I am trying to bind the anchor within the literal to a function in a following manner:
onserverclick = "Download"
But the event is not firing. The requirement is that anchor is rendered through literal only.
Has any one experienced this. Never seen it before. Anchoring a Toolstrip Left,Top,Right will resize the strip with out the option of stepping back and undoing it. Forces rolling back the application. Toolstrip is docked at the bottom.
View 2 Replies[URL]..I cannot seem to get a regular panel control to anchor Left/Top/Right while place in a FlowLayoutPanel which is docked to a Form. It defaults to a Left/Top position and I cannot seem to get it to anchor to the Right as well either by code or by manual input in the Properties window.
Does this imply that there is an issue with my VS Studio 2008 Express?
I have a question about the webbroswer control regarding anchor tags. Is it possible to programmactically in vb.net go to an anchor tag in a webbrowser control? I would like to ideally provide a combo box drop down on the winform form and control which part of the html page the user goes to when the user makes a selection from the combo box.

View 2 RepliesIs there a way to draw in the foreground of a container control. Such as a Panel, or PictureBox.
I need to be able to draw across multiple controls all within the same container.
Lets say, that you have a Panel containing Five Buttons. Is there a way to draw say a line across all five buttons, that will show as a continuous line, using only the Graphics object of the container?
I can only get the line drawn in the background such that the controls are drawn over the line and it appears broken. In the actual usage there are 25 controls and I would rather not have to loop through each contorl and drawn the line if needed, every time the control is invalidated.
Is it possible to anchor a control to another control?Lets say i want my Button1 to keep its 4px distance from Textbox1 control without using FlowLayoutTable control? "Why would be this advantageous?" - one could ask Well lets say you have a SplitContainer with a vertical splitter and you have Textboxes in SplitContainer.Panel1 which are anchored to the left and right but their maximum size's width is smaller than you allow to the SplitContainer.Panel1's width to have (maybe because you want text to show up there or because additional padding or whatever,you name it) Now let's say you also have a button next to Textbox1 and you dont want Textbox1 to be overlapped by the Button1 because its extends to far.If i want to have my textbox fill the SplitContainer.Panel1 in a fashion that it leaves space for Button1 control while still both of them are anchored to the right how would i do it?
View 1 RepliesI need a tab-like control for Asp website. This is a tutorial for AJAX Control Toolkit Tab Container. The code below is debugged successfully, but nothing is shown on browser.

I have a User Control which is dynamically placed by CodeBehind as follows:
Dim myControl As Control = CType(Page.LoadControl("~/Controls/mainMenu.ascx"), Control)
If InStr(Request.ServerVariables("url"), "/Login.aspx") <= 0 Then
mainMenu.Controls.Add(myControl)
End If
As per an example from my previous question on here.
Within this Control is a repeater which calls a database to generate values.
My Repeater mark-up is as follows
<asp:Repeater runat="server" ID="locationRepeater" OnItemDataBound="getQuestionCount">
<ItemTemplate>
[Code]....
The example above works fine, but I want to be able to prepend text to <%# Container.DataItem %> in the title attribute of that <p> to print to the browser like this is some text DATA_ITEM_OUTPUT
When I try to do that though, it prints this is some text <%# Container.DataItem %> exactly like that, ie, turning <%# Container.DataItem %> into text, NOT the value from the repeater code.
It was working fine before I made it into a dynamically inserted control, so I am thinking I might have something being generated in the wrong order, but given that it works without any prepended text
I have created a usercontrol that contains two rectangle shapes to create a unique button effect and a rounded-corner rectangle shape serving as a border to provide a look similar to a group box. It also contains two labels, one for use with a Text property of the control and the other to indicate the status of expansion of the control. The control is designed to collapse itself when the "button" is clicked leaving only the "button" visible. Clicking it again toggles this affect. I've dubbed it an ExpansionBar. It is also designed to be a container control so that I can add controls to it and allow these to disappear when the bottom portion collapses. The problem is that the controls contained in this usercontrol cannot be accessed during runtime. In other words, I can add a checkbox to it and it will disappear correctly when the control collapses, but I can't select the checkbox to check it... same thing with any other controls, you can see, but can't touch. I'm a novice developer, so I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

I have been using vb6 for a while, I am following a tutorial by MS to develop a basic application and a simple task cannot be completed for whatever reasons! The tutorial asks to drag the label object from the toolbox and drop in the tab control container. Then, go to the label size property and adjust the size to some different dimansion. Basic stuff, right? It won't let me do it! After I enter the new dimensions (which by the way are not large or very small), the label size (both width and height) resets back to its original dimensions! I have the vb.net sp1 installed.
View 2 RepliesI remember in VS 2005 that when I was working on making user controls, if I removed the default Form1 and ran debug, that some sort of test container popped up. The window had a drop down menu to the right with some other properties so that I could choose from it the control I wanted to test. Choosing it would show the control to the left (in the main area) so I could test it, all without placing the control(s) on a form.
However, I cant find how to use this in VS 2010. I tried deleting Form1 and leaving nothing but by custom controls, but it just causes errors.What is the name of this window, and how can I get to it in VS 2010?

I have bound a datapager control to a listview.
I would like to scroll to the first item of the listview control on the DataPager click. I guess by using javascript, but it seems that the datapager does not allow that...
So what option do i have? How can i scroll, onto a specific anchor, when clicking on the DataPager?
I have a page with a URL that includes a hash value (www.mysite.com/#123).What I want to do is use that value to determine what is displayed on the page - much like using a querystring.I am using the hash value because the content on the page can be changed client side (I am avoiding page reloads where possible) - if the user then links to another page and uses the back button to return, I need to use the hash value to display the page as it was when they left it.So I'm looking for an if statement that will look something like this:

I am trying to Anchor a Form (Top, Bottom, Left & Right) in a panel.
I have tried:
frmFnct.Anchor = AnchorStyles.Top Or AnchorStyles.Left Or AnchorStyles.Bottom Or AnchorStyles.Right
This doesn't error but as the parent Form is re-sized, the panel re-sizes but the Form that is loaded in the Panel does not re-size.
I guess I can use the Parent Forms Resize Event and size the form to the panel dimensions but just wondering if there is a way to use built in functionality?
I have a label that I put a hyperlink into with the function:

I want to gain access to the the string title + "/" + cost + "/" + asin in order to split it with String.Split("/"). I'm getting an error when I just try Dim fields As String() = Label1.Text.Split("/"). What function should I use to get just the text that is between the <a> tags?
In my form i have a button and a richtextbox .That button resize the richtextbox but my problem is that I can't set many anchors like ( left and right and bottom and top ) for the richtextbox .
View 3 RepliesI created a basic winform project where I want to handle all resizing without writing a single line of code. I set up controls using dock/anchor. They all work properly, until I add a custom UserControl. When I first press F5, the project works fine. However when I get back to the IDE some (but not all) controls which have anchor right/bottom are resized/moved into positions and sizes not previously defined. Some cannot even be restored as they are moved permanently below the container's boundary with coordinates above 2000. If I fiddle around and test the project many times, all controls with right/bottom anchoring will go haywire eventually.
If the custom UserControl has controls inside with right/bottom anchoring those also get resized in weird ways. Adding the controls again solves the problem temporarily. It is the IDE that moves these controls around since these movements are displayed in the undo stack right after I exit testing the project (however,undoing these steps only messes things up even more).I am using VB 2010 on Windows 7 x64.
I am developing a site that has some hyperlinks stored within the database. I have moved some pages around so I need to implement redirects and replace URL's displayed on a page with the new paths.I am trying to do this for a Repeater control using the following code.[code]However this code does not execute and the Contains section is not returning true. Can anyone explain to me where I am going wrong and what I should be doing differently?

I've tried every method in the book and can't seem to get a solution for this. I need to be able to click on a text link using VB.Net (2008+). The link itself is as following[code]...
Notice that it uses #, so I can't go by the href (I've already considered that) ... not to mention there are THOUSANDS of other links like that. How can I click it by the specific 'AnchorText' that is there? I wish it was as simple as WebBrowser2.document.GetElementById("IdHere").InvokeMember("click")
I wish that visual studio 2010 would have more support for rtl. this support would be in two places: include an option for visual cursor movement like in MS Word. when switching a form to rtl the anchor points and the alignments are all reversed. Thy should be logical meaning when I anchor a text box to the right it should anchor to the right and not the left. will these are my only two wishes for now.
