Array With No Duplicates - Count Field

I have an multi dimed array of stock sizes, material type and count. The array could have duplicate arrays. In the end I need an array that is condensed with no duplicate and the count field is how many there were in the array.
Example:
Original array
Material: STL TUBG Stock Size: 3" X 3" X 0.250" W/T X 254MM

This is my problem: I have an array with dates in it and I want a list with the dates and how much that date is sequel to the amount of that dates in the array.
This is my code so far:
arrsVerschillendeDagen(iTellerke) is declared on moduleniveau
arriMaand(iTellerke) is declared on moduleniveau
arriJaar(iTellerke) is declared on moduleniveau
I have a subroutine too that redimension my arrays.

I have a semicolon delimited string (e.g. an EMail Address List returned from a database or a textbox). How do I separate the string into an array, sort, and remove duplicates? The code below works to separate the string and sort the results, but doesn't remove the duplicates. I could probably then loop through the array and copy to a new array to eliminate the duplicates, but there must be a better way to do this using the VB.Net Array, String, and Collections handling classes.

I have a huge array, well Data Grid actually (unbound), but it can be populated into an array... 47 columns by 2000 rows. The data within is random, I need to check each row for duplicates...
essence is on the quickest method though as it will be called by the user. The data is populated by column, so I can not check for duplicates during population.
e.g.
DataFR1, DataBF2, DataJU3....... DataXN47
DataHY1, DataBF2, DataJU3....... DataXN47
DataFR1, DataBF2, DataJU3....... DataXN47 << This is a duplicate >>
I can perform the 'compare' but i'm struggling with the speed.. because row 2000 could be the same as row 1 I can only get my head around a solution that would be very slow

I'm creating an application that creates a list of 20 ramdomly selected numbers within an array and displaying those numbers in a listbox. I then need to display the duplicate numbers in an adjacent listbox by clicking the find duplicates button. How would I be able to access those 20 numbers in order to find the duplicates?

My problem is that I want label1 to count one when the information in Textbox5 is matching a line of info in Listbox1 so far I can do this but when the info changes by me pressing Ctrl+C it works it counts 1 but my problem is my clipboard info is updating automatically I can see the change in the textbox but it wont count.

Now I'm VERY new at the reading in a text file and storing into arrays thing and tried for hours last night to figure this out, googling and every possible way of writing the code. I have a SQL database which I'm running a query against to return a list of names - eg using "select names from table"I would like to add all of these names to an array so I can use them later. To do this I would need to use a dynamic array as the number of names returned could be anything.Apart from first running "select count(names) from table", getting a value and then Redim'ing the array on the count is there another method I can use.I've seen there's a dataset row.count? I have an array of items where i have separated the first two characters, which in my case are ID tags. I have populated my CLBox and the output is like this

Aa
BB

What would the process be to do this, would i need to create a reference list or stringbuilder for all the tags(there is about 3000 tags) or would it be possible to loop through and count the matches. I declared the Tags thinking that i could do something from there.

I am selecting a distinct user from IT_Cases_List and stored it in an arraystaff(). From this array, I will then call a Stored Procedure to count the no of cases attended by this user,(arraystaff(i)) and loop it until arraystaff.length-1
but the problem is that the count does not tally.

ok, i've called only once getcases but i'm still having the same problem.
this is what i get when i run the program:
if i get Count(*) from the database, the total no of cases i should be getting is 132, whereas the total of cases i get from the program is 157 (7+7+20+20+49+49+5)
if i run the query from sql, this is what i should be getting
i notice that the Count number gets duplicated (7,7,20,20,49,49,5) instead of (7,20,49,5,10,27,13)

I need to seperate a name into 2 parts using split the first part being 2 letters "That was easy" but the last part of the name would have an unknown lenght. so how do I get the unknown length? I believe I understand the Join Part here is what I have but it only works when you know the lenght of the name

VB.NET 2010/ASP.NET 4. I am using a web service which returns a string like this:
US,"UNITED STATES",MN,MINNESOTA,"MAPLE GROVE",45.1234,-93.4947,613,763,AMERICA/CHICAGO,NA,55311,"COMCAST CABLE","COMCAST CABLE",COMCAST.NET,"AS13367 COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDINGS, INC",CABLE/DSL,RESIDENTIAL,3,99,35,96,,
If I split by comma it's usually fine except in the above string I have the following:
"AS13367 COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDINGS, INC"
Which contains a comma and splits into two. This I don't want.
How to see if this field (array(15)) contains a comma & if it does to leave it intact into one array field? It's always constant in the same place in the array
Example:
(14) = COMCAST.NET
(15) = "AS13367 COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDINGS"
(16) = "INC"
(17) = CABLE/DSL
But I wish to keep it so it's:
(14) = COMCAST.NET
(15) = "AS13367 COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDINGS, INC"
(16) = CABLE/DSL

I have an array set up to receive the names of forms when they open. The form name is sent as a Form not a String therefore when I run my code I cannot check for whether the field is empty in the normal way (ie. array(1) = "") as the "" are only usable with strings!

I have a query I'm using to identify a group of contracts that have expired. The query has a ContractID, Status, Start Date and End Date. For each contract, I need to go to a directory and search for a file to import. That part works just fine, but how can I put a qualifier in to check for contracts that have the same start and end date? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for this or can I use the query I have? The part in bold text is where I need to identify identical start/end dates. Comments identify pieces to be developed and message boxes to help me confirm what's happening as I run the code:

I have a query in Access 07 that identifies the following fields: ContractID, status, start date and end date. For each contract, I've been able to search a network share and upload its corresponding file; however I need to skip the import and write a record to a table for contracts with the same start and end date. I've included a placeholder (in bold below), but how do I make the date comparison work? Do I need to create a multi-dimensional array for that or can it be done with the code I have?

I am trying to get a count of all the times a byte sequences occurs in another byte sequences. It cannot however re-use a bytes if it already counted them. For example given the string let's assume the byte sequence was k.k it would then find only 3 occurrences rather than 5 because they would be broke down like: [k.k].[k.k].[k.k]. and not like [k.[k].[k].[k].[k].k] where they over lap and essentially just shift 2 to the right.
Ideally the idea is to get an idea how a compression dictionary or run time encoding might look. so the goal would be to get down to just 2 parts, as (k.k.k.) is the biggest and best symbol you can have.
