I created a method and pass the element type, id, and any inner text that instantiates a new html element. The last statement: Me.Controls.Add(element) adds it to the end of the page, but I would like it to be inserted in a specific position (between 2 divs within a form). What I am describing is very similar to this post on SO here, although it was for javascript.

One of my clients wants a set up multiple dropdown lists as a set of outbound links (yes, I cringed too, but he does have his reasons. there are 3 dropdowns, each one pertaining to its own group of links. When each dropdown has its SelectedIndexChanged, it then redirects based on the choice made. However, lets say I make a choice in the second dropdown. It goes to the proper link. If I then choose a link in the first dropdown, it goes to the proper link. Then if I select a link in the third dropdown, it will go to the link specified in the choice I made in the FIRST dropdown.
How can I code it so that it will always select the most recent selection?
I have a label with a tooltip attribute for rollover effect. This works all great. However, it seems to get hidden behind any dropdown lists that are nearby. I have tried adjusting the z-index, without any luck. This issue does not appear in firefox, and I have not tested it in later versions of IE.
I realize this is probably due to IE6s poor css standards-compatibility, but how can I get around this?
I have two lists of strings. One is a list of all students in a class and the other is a list of students in the class that completed an assignment. The two lists are part:whole. So we have two loops for copying elements and displaying them in a list box for only the students who did submit.

What I need is the remaining portion of the "usersinclass" list. (i.e. The students who did not submit). I tried an Else statement BUT with nested loops, every element is guaranteed not to match at least once, so I was getting elements that shouldn't be there. So, is there anyway to run the given lists against each other again to pull out the remaining students? (preferably with no repeats).
I have multiple combox boxes,
A B C
Combobox B has items Fruit, Veg, Dairy
Combobox C needs to contain 3 list and depending on what value is selected in Combo Box B.
For example,
If I select Veg in Combo Box B, I would like to have a drop down list containing "tomatoes, lettuce, onion,..........."
If I select Dairy in Combo Box B, I would like to have a drop down list containing "Milk, Cheese...................."

I need to show a drop down list when the page loads, the default selected value is nothing, or an empty element (such as "-"). When the user selects one value from the list, another drop down list is added below the first one, and so on.My problem with this is how you make the page to remember the drop down lists created through postbacks and the values they have selected?
EDIT: I did this example for dynamically add drop down lists and suscribe them to an event handler but the event won't fire.
EDIT 2: Changed the code because I labelled for VB.Net and posted something in C#. I update the code with some trivial improvements, but still won't fire the event :(

I have an asp.net web app that allows users to customize some GUI aspects (such as font color, add a custom logo etc). This information is stored in the user profile database. I have a css file that populates font colors etc. The main page, loads the users profile from the database, and customizes the page accordingly.Aside from having each label with its own "font-color=", how can I display the CSS elements, based on the user profile information returned from the database?

As you can see, when I open a program from my menu, a new button will be created with text similar to this, "C:Program ". The button it self will not do anything. How can I create the method at the same time the button it is for is created? Also how can I change the text do that it gives me, for example, CCleaner.exe instead of the whole target path?

Note: each record line has one sample from each channel recorded. i.e. each record line is a slice of a 32 sensor recordings. I want to build up a x,y list of data points for each channel (the x axis is common to all channels). Is there some way to do it similar to what I have above (avoiding indexing variables).
