I converted a VB6 application to VB.Net and in doing so, I seem to have lost the ability to auto-align the controls on the form. I thought I could change that in the "Tools > Options > Windows Forms Designer > General" area but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't need to use a grid for aligning since the auto-align functionality can be used but I just don't know how to get it back.

So I am adding StaticTextField controls to a page. This is using ExtJS, but we use VB.NET methods to add ExtJS so we don't actually have to write it.I tried using

Anyone have any idea why these aren't right aligning using CSS? For some reason, if I try to use the same code above (the CSS), to try and right align comboboxes, or number fields, it works, and they are located right underneath these static controls, but it's not working for static controls. They need to be static because we don't want the "box" outline on each of the values, we just want it to be text, nothing else on the screen.
I want to align a sample of data that is reproduced in the ListBox so that it would look neat. However, I have failed to find any alignment related property available for ListBoxes. Therefore, I would appreciate an expert advise on how to invoke it without extensive coding.

The splitcontainer is anchored- top, left, right, bottom so that when the home form is resized the splitcontainer resizes itself automatically. The controls within the other forms are also anchored properly to resize themselves accordingly. But the problem is when i open a form in the splitcontainer, even if I resize the home form, the controls in the form within the splitcontainer aren't resizing. The reason is when the home form is resized the splitcontainer is resizing itself accordingly but the form inside the splitcontainer isn't (as forms don't have anchor or dock properties so I couldn't set them). As a result though the controls in the sub form are anchored to resize themselves yet they aren't. How to solve it.In short I want the form in the splitcontainer and all the controls in it to resize automatically when the home form/splitcontainer is resized.

I have a project running in my old computer. It has panels,textboxes,labels etc. It occupies the full screen when running.I bought a new computer with a widescreen format. When I run this project it only occupies 2/3 of the screen.
What properties of the controls must I use so that I can run this program in any size computer and still occupy the full screen i.e the size is proportionately resized depending on screen size.
I have a form containes some controls (buttons) how i can make the program auto-scan these controls one by one automatically and whenever the mouse on a button the button select for a time and I can press the enter key to click this button otherwise the mouse will go to the next button and so on.

I have a requirement as follows,I have to display a list of datas in to a list box in button click functionality. When i click the button, values should be fetched from database table and loaded in to the list box.

View 2 RepliesI have a slight problem With an enumaration of child controls on a form. The following code will not get but about have the controls that are on the form. The controls show that the count is correct but when it goes through the loop it skips over some of the controls. If you run it through the enumeration two or three times it will get all the controls a few at a time. The solution uses two forms, one that has the controls and the other that labels are made and displayed on. The Tx is just a index to add a number to the label.name and rename the label. So each label is identified seperately. This works for all the the controls that are seen in the for each loop.

View 4 RepliesI am writing to a txt file from vb.net. I cant write 2 columns of data and have the 2nd col start at same place. Col1 is OK but col2 starts at different places depending on how big col1 ,row data is. How do I force this as currently I use tabs but again this doesn't work.

Now, I need to refresh this sub form every -- minutes, depending on how the user wants it to be. For this I have given a NumericUpDown control to select the mins. All this works fine. But how do I refresh the dataset and the datagridview?

I have a form on with I have a label inside a panel, with a button I can open a fontdialog and change the font of the label (inside the panel). The font (name and size) I also display in 2 textboxes. This works as far. But I also want to display in a different label (so not the same as the label inside the panel) which fontstyle is selected (at this point when I select bold, the number 1 is displayed in the label, but I want to the word Bold displayed. Also I found out that when I make the fontsize smaller, the label inside the panel isn't align in the middle of the panel.

In this pdf file, I have some fields which get their values from some texboxes in another form. My aim is, when the user triggers the button to call this form, it should insert the values inside the pdf file and display the output pdf inside the form.I have written the code to an extend but could not finish it myself after my many trials... Now here are the two things I cannot manage:I can use a directory to read the template pdf "untitled1.pdf".
