I have a form containes some controls (buttons) how i can make the program auto-scan these controls one by one automatically and whenever the mouse on a button the button select for a time and I can press the enter key to click this button otherwise the mouse will go to the next button and so on.

View 1 RepliesI have a web browser on my form and it is definitely big enough to warrant a tab control, with the web browser being on the second tab. I have a button on the first tab that should have the browser navigate, but how do I make the program automatically switch to tab 2? i.e., this is what happens:
1 - user is on tab 1,
2 - user clicks a button on tab 1,
3 - the program does what it needs to do and automatically switches to tab 2
For instance, here is the button that will be clicked:

So the button will make the web browser go somewhere, I just want to have the form switch to the other tab automatically so that the user doesn't have to do it. I tried using webbrowser1.focus() to no avail. Is there a tab switch?
How would i make a program automatically align to one side of the screen, and fill the whole side? (Like windows sidebar).

View 9 RepliesI'm trying to make an Auto Login program, which requires me to do a few clicks. I've tried many of the methods found here on MSDN, but they don't seem to work. The code I'm using to simulate the left click is:

When I use this code, it always comes up with the following error:
"A call to PInvoke function 'DyKnow Login!DyKnow_Login.Form1::mouse_event' has unbalanced the stack. As per my application (Vb.net), it scans the Access database for Active-X controls. It is working now for Report form and Access Form.
The code to find out controls is as follows:

Fairly straight forward as I have the button Produce to act upon my code and update my salestrans.mdb but,if you scan the bar code I want the same form to handle both 'real' actions, (i assume that keyboard emulation barcode scanner includes "ENTER" after providing 13 digits)....

I need to write a program that will capture a twain scan, then let the user input a file name and append a date and time stamp to the file. Afterwards, it should upload the file to a ftp share on our network. As a bonus, I would like it to log the transaction to a SQL server so we can verify the file was uploaded. The catch is, I have almost no programming experience. I have written a small program here and there, but never something that I had to call an outside source for besides SQL. We do have an in-house VB programmer, but he is to busy to do something like this. I wanted to give it a try myself before hiring someone else to do it since it sounds like such a simple program. I know how to layout the basic forms and I can probably figure out how to log the transaction, but I am looking for examples on twain scans and saving to ftp.

But the problem is that I want to add a pan & scan effect to the end user, also if possible a overscan effect also. I'm using MSVidCtl to view and then MSVidFilePlaybackDevice to play and control the file, I've searched the net a lot but found nothing helpful especially in VB.NET, I can use managed DirectX directxaudiovideoplayback.video but the same problem exists, can't find a way to add these pan & scan, zoom in and overscan effects.

It works fine for about 10-15 seconds and then I get an ArgumentException was unhandled error. So far this has happened on two different lines at separate times...

Visual Studio automatically declares all of those controls as Friend, but there really isn't a need.Is there a way to have Visual Studio automatically declare all controls as Private and I can expose any controls as Friend as needed?

View 1 RepliesIs there any way in c# or VB to automatically move the controls in a panel when the window is resized. I do not want the Anchor property, which only resizes the control. THe use is that controls are added at runtime to the form, and when the locations/values are loaded on a computer with a larger monitor, they are in the incorrect positions.

But what happened with VS 2008, I can't see that region any more ? Where are the lines of code that are automatically generated that create controls and set there properties ????? View 2 RepliesI converted a VB6 application to VB.Net and in doing so, I seem to have lost the ability to auto-align the controls on the form. I thought I could change that in the "Tools > Options > Windows Forms Designer > General" area but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't need to use a grid for aligning since the auto-align functionality can be used but I just don't know how to get it back.
View 4 RepliesIn my home form I have a splitcontainer and few buttons. When the buttons are clicked respective forms are opened in the splitcontainer. The splitcontainer is anchored- top, left, right, bottom so that when the home form is resized the splitcontainer resizes itself automatically. The controls within the other forms are also anchored properly to resize themselves accordingly. But the problem is when i open a form in the splitcontainer, even if I resize the home form, the controls in the form within the splitcontainer aren't resizing. The reason is when the home form is resized the splitcontainer is resizing itself accordingly but the form inside the splitcontainer isn't (as forms don't have anchor or dock properties so I couldn't set them). As a result though the controls in the sub form are anchored to resize themselves yet they aren't. How to solve it.In short I want the form in the splitcontainer and all the controls in it to resize automatically when the home form/splitcontainer is resized.

I can see the value but sometimes.. Sometimes I get a indexoutof range exception.
I have a project running in my old computer. It has panels,textboxes,labels etc. It occupies the full screen when running.I bought a new computer with a widescreen format. When I run this project it only occupies 2/3 of the screen.
What properties of the controls must I use so that I can run this program in any size computer and still occupy the full screen i.e the size is proportionately resized depending on screen size.
