Caching - Create A Simple App In VB 2008 That Uses A WebBrowser Control

Have experience with web scripting languages and SQL but am still getting used to VB.Currently using VS2008 to create a simple app in VB 2008 that uses a WebBrowser control. The user navigates to a web page, hits a button, and then every minute the web browser automatically refreshes, gets the page length, and alerts if the page length has changed by more than 100 chars.Unfortunately, I am noticing that VB uses the cached version of the page when it refreshes (I am using WebBrowser.Refresh, but have also tried using WebBrowser.Navigate(same page as before)). Is there any way that I can delete just that page in the cache without clearing the whole thing from my application before it reloads and calculates the new page length?

I have been googling for hours and trying to figure this out, and I just can't.I have 1 webbrowser control on a form, webbrowser1. Once I load a page, say google.com, if I use webbrowser1.refresh() or webbrowser1.navigate("google.com"), it's not reloading the page, it has it cached so it's just reloading the cache. This is terribly apparent especially on pages like forums or craigslist.

I want to create a calendar control to display employees vacation schedules for the year. It could be either monthly or scrolling weekly. It will draw its data from Access. I'm just looking for some general input on how some others might accomplish this. I know there are some paid options but my boss said I am on a $0 budget. A couple of ideas I had are:
1. Make a monthly view comprised of labels and textboxes for the actual dates. Populate the texboxes with a series of sql statements
2. Use a datagridview bound to a crosstab query, but I don't know how to have the datagridview show one week after the other.

i am trying to create a dll containing a webbrowser control. What i want it to do is this: i have a form which calls a function from that dll. the dll naigates to a webpage, say "www.google.com". after it navigates, it reads a string from the page body and executes some actions with it. The problem is, when the form calls the function inside the dll, the webpage is not loaded inside the dll, so there is no string to read. If i run the code of the dll as a windows application, the form loads, it navigates to the web site and reads the string... how should i modify the code inside the dll so when a form calls the funtion inside it, it first loads the webpage, and after that execute the called function? a sample of the code is here, this is the code which i compile as a dll:

I'm using Visual Studio 2005, net framework 2.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer ver 7.0.5730.13. Create a form with the webbrowser control and two buttons. Use the code that i provided at the end of this question to understand the scenario. As far as i know, this behaviour happens only on the myspace.com web site. 1. Navigate to your myspace.com inbox page, read a message and click on the reply button to reply to the message. The page will show correctly in the web browser.2. Then click on Button1, repeat the same process (read a message in the myspace.com inbox, click on the reply button), and the textboxes where you have to enter your reply will be gone.3. Then click on Button2, repeat the same process, and the page will show correctly in the web browser.4. Then comment out or remove the oDoc_MouseDown event, click on Button1, repeat the same process, and the page will show correctly.Why does the page shows correctly when the oDoc_MouseDown event is removed? The same behaviour happens if you use any other event of the oDoc variable.I desperately need the page on myspace to be shown correctly with the oDoc_MouseDown event and other events of the oDoc variable. I'm using a WebBrowser control in my current program in a bit of a bastardized way: I don't use it visually, I just use it because I'm more familiar with its events.
So, basically, I create a WebBrowser control and navigate to a page to login. Then, when logged in, I create a new WebBrowser control and navigate to a different page.
I've used this program for four months with no difficulty. Starting today, though, the second phase of that has been going really, really slowly. What used to take 3-5 seconds is taking 25-30 seconds. It still works eventually, it just takes a while.
Usually I would assume this was a server problem. However, navigating to the exact same URL in Firefox happens extremely quickly. Weirder still, within the program there is a user WebBrowser control -- I can copy/paste the URL the previous (not visible) WebBrowser was navigating toward into this user WebBrowser, and it goes just fine.
What in the world could be holding up this other "custom" WebBrowser? I don't even know where to begin in diagnosing this.It might be important to note that the site this is working based off recently underwent some changes -- but I can't imagine why that would affect only these "custom" WebBrowsers and not the user one in the same program.

I have bound TextBoxes. When I edit anything, I have to move to the next or previous record before calling the Update Method for that record to be updated. With my DGV, I use

I'm attempting to load a website, look through the HTML, and then put it into a control.When I do this, the site redirects to another page. I know how to pull the info, so I need to figure out how to get to my destination page. I'll break it down in steps:
1. Attempt to load www.site.com/1
2. If cookie is not on machine, site redirects to www.site.com/zip code.
2b. Enter Zip code
3. Attempt to load destination site again.
4. Page redirects to www.site.com/default.aspx
5. Attempt to load www.site.com/1
6. Success
If the cookie is already on the machine, it skips to step 3. No matter what, it always loads the default.aspx page first. This isn't a webbrowser control issue, it's a site issue. This happens when on a normal browser.I'd hate to say it's bad coding standards just because it's not working because I want it to, but it sure seems like bad coding standards.

I know this sounds like a simple thing but I have searched and all examples have not helped. I have been unable to update the textarea at I have gotten the code to work at other sites though.So specifically I want to update the "post a new thread" textarea. If you go toand then signup (you need an account to post a new thread). Then go to any forum and click "NewThread".I then can update the subject field but the textarea (name="message") does not update with the value. I am not sure why it doesn't work when I have got this working on a lot of other sites.

I am currently working on some software for a taxi company, and we have been asked to create a webbrowser (only simple) for the users which we allow to use it, to view traffic updates from a website that we already know about.
But...
We dont want them to be able to navigate away from this site via links to google adverts Etc...
Basically we don't want them to be able to surf the net at all, only be able to work!

I looked all over the forum posts here and didn't see the answer to a question concerning iframes within the webbrowser control (there were similar issues however). The forum has a classifieds section that allows members to post threads daily. I have a message that I like to send once every day to a forum and decided that it would be best to achieve this programmatically. However, I noticed in the visual basic 2008 webbrowser control, that it doesn't seem to automate the iFrames within the browser using the htmlelementcollection codes.

I have created a VB.NET project that includes WebBrowser control. The web browser control navigates to html page that embedes a flash movie. Everything works fine except that when I want to exit the fullscreen mode of the video by pressing (Esc) key, it doesn't exit. If I view the html page with any other browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, ...) it works perfectly. You can download the project from the link below. The files are in the Debug folder.
