Jan 27, 2011How I could reduce the font size of xml rendered in a webbrowser control? According to MSDN the font property of the WebBrowser class isn't used.

Webbrowser Control And Changing Size?
Aug 20, 2008I am creating a program with a web browser component, and a tab control. Default, the web browser is anchored to the toolbar. In my program there is an option to make a toolbar at the top of the form visible.false. Is there a way to make the web browser anchor to the top of the tab control when the toolbar is not visible, and anchor to the toolbar when the toolbar is visible?? I have experimented with docking (fill) but then parts of the web browser become covered by the toolbar and status bar. I am still relatively new to visual basic 2008 so if you could please explain or provide code.

Feb 17, 2009I am trying to figure out if the text from a website is visible when the page is rendered in a webbrowser control. The text I am looking for is error text that shows form field errors after a bad post submission. I've checked the source code of the html being returned and the actual html for the text i'm looking for is present before any errors are made, and after the errors are detected. is there any way i can do a sort of .visible check on html elements in a webbrowser object, or even check the css that is linked to a particular div/label/span for the visibility/display style tags?

Aug 25, 2010I can't change change the font size or font name or color of the text in the DHTML Editing Control. I have 2 listbox controls FontNameList containing all of the installed fonts on my PC and FontSizeList containing some numbers to be used as fontsize and I use the execommand and build my App but the font did not change instead it grew bigger but when I tryed to change it back it stayed the same. The Code for that was:

Jan 4, 2011I have inherited from a Windows.Forms.Listbox so I could override the OnPaint and OnDrawItem methods in an effort to highlight specific items and alternate backcolors. I am also skipping some DrawItem events to prevent flickering.Everything is working fine, however when I select items in the listbox, it looks like the font is shrinking or becoming more compressed.Then when I mouse leave, the font goes back to its normal size and appearance but the same items are still selected (which is correct). During debugging the font never changes nor do any of its properties, but it does end up looking different when the item is selected and the mousedown event just happened.

Convert Font Size To Control Size?
Aug 10, 2010I'm writing a couple of custom controls in VB.Net 3.5, in VS2008, and would like to resize the font size based on the height of the control, and vice-versa. Is there any way of converting a font of say 38.25pts into a me.height, or the other way round?
I realise the font width will change dependent on the font used (which isn't an issue for my purposes), but as far as I know, the font height is usually consistent Accessibility/Large font settings won't be an issue with this application.

Sep 4, 2009When you add a label from the the toolbox, the default font is always Microsoft Sans Serif, Regular, 8. I like to use Ariel as my font of choice. Is there a way to change the default font setting so I don't have to pick the font I want every time? I've looked under Tools->Options->Environment->Fonts and Colors and I can't find it there.

Jul 22, 2009I am working on a application which is basically a screen designer. I have implemented the form designing capabilities using IDesignerHost and other interfaces. In my application user can pick a component from toolbox and drop it on the designer screen and can configure the properties from property window. I have my own set of properties which gets populated from database. Screen designer is working fine but the problem occurs when user changes some properties from property window. Say user changes property 'Width' then I change the width of the selected control in designer but the problem is SelectionOverlay shows the old size. When I select another control and select old control again, SelectionOverlay(resize handlers which appears around the control) shows properly. How can I tell the SelectionOverlay that the size of the control is changed.

I have successfully achieved this by using the following code:

The only problem is that this only works once. When I try to run the ChangeUserAgent() method for the second time it doesn't work. I stays set to the first changed value. This is quite annoying and I've tried everything but it just won't change more than once.

Aug 10, 2006This problem is with the WebBrowser component. The code posted below is what I am trying to insert into the control before it renders the page for the first time. This question actually stems from this post: [URL]. I am developing the application in C#, however the problem is not really language specific.
When I have a page that has a javascript call to:
window.print()
I am wanting to override the print method so that pages do not pop up the print dialog. I can do so by inserting this into the top of the html:
window.print=function emptyMethod() {};
I now just need to figure out how to get this code into the document html before the browser control renders it for the first time. I have tried a number of things (for a complete list, see the post listed above), all with no success.

Apr 15, 2009Whats the font size real meaning? since when i use Arial font size 10 in the report its gonna take different space than the textbox im using (Both using exactly same font type/size/unit) its kinda if i set 10 milimiters to the font size why would the i and M for example have so diferent size.
i wish it was like in the Notepad where all the letters take the same space. what i need its to give a certain texbox(in the report) with auto grow to have always the same lines of height but its not posible to calculate it from vb b4 being inputed to the report.
