I am having throuble resetting my textboxes to nothing if the selection in the listview is nothing. I.e. when i select a record my textboxes are updated with teh selected data, but if nothing is selected after something is selected I would like to clear the textboxes to blank again.[code]

When I clear my form, I am trying to clear the Month Calendar of all selected dates. Using this code clears everything but the Selection Start Date, I would assume there would be a way to clear this, Refresh doesn't work, and I can't seem to find anything else.

I have just realised that ComboBoxes don't have a Change event. I have a combobox filled with a few items, eg. Bakery, Deli, Fruit & Veg, etc. Choose one of these items, all the related items show in the dgv. However, when I blank the text in the Combobox (press Delete key whilst Combobox has the focus), what event fires so I can blank the dgv? The combobox does not contain a Blank item. Even if it does, the Blank item only fires the ComboBox1_SelectedIndexChanged when the user scrolls down to, or clicks on, the blank value.
I want to clear the dgv when the user blanks the combobox without necessarily changing the selection index.

how to clear items from a ListView but no advice on how to clear columns from a ListView. The first time that the form is activated, coding creates and loads four columns in a ListView. On subsequent activations I want to remove those ListView columns before proceeding, otherwise I get eight columns and then twelve columns etc. There has to be a simple way of putting the ListView back to its initial state.

Those dots will also appear whenever you select an item, along with a highlighted color. I've downloaded projects that don't have them, and when comparing I don't see any difference in listview settings between that and my listview... How do you remove those dots?

Is there any way to change the default colour to the highlight when a listview row is selected? Apparently the default blue colour causes some problems for some users who have some visual eyesight problems. They didn't tell me what colour they wanted but they did indicated the blue is annoying.
View 2 RepliesI have a form with a listview on it. Listviews are very versatile beasts with all kinds of odd options to them, so I'm not sure if this is working the only way that it can, or not. The issue is that when I select one of the items in the listview, only one column (of two) is highlighted. I'd prefer a selection appearance similar to using a DataGridView where the whole row is highlighted. Of course, one option would be just to switch to a DGV, but that would require a bit more code to get the column widths right. So my question is whether there is some setting to get what looks like full row selection appearance in a multiselect ListView?

I'm trying to write a Database manager in VB (2010) that updates a SQL database that compiles and summarizes my financial records. The code works, but I'm having issues with one exception that I think I understand, but can't circumvent. I've built an I/O form that enters a series of purchases and sales into a temporary datatable. After review of the list, the program connects to the database and executes the SQL. That all works and isn't a problem.
