VS 2010 - ListView Display (Full Row Selection Appearance)

I have a form with a listview on it. Listviews are very versatile beasts with all kinds of odd options to them, so I'm not sure if this is working the only way that it can, or not. The issue is that when I select one of the items in the listview, only one column (of two) is highlighted. I'd prefer a selection appearance similar to using a DataGridView where the whole row is highlighted. Of course, one option would be just to switch to a DGV, but that would require a bit more code to get the column widths right. So my question is whether there is some setting to get what looks like full row selection appearance in a multiselect ListView?
I already have one year experienced in c++, and built many private applications.My question is simple to ask, and simple to answer I think.When I select an item in a listview, I want the full item to be selected. Now only the TEXT in the listview item is selected. I've made a picture to clearify my problem.The picture in the link below is splitted up in two pictures. I am still having issues with the combo box. I have the correct query. I have four tables in MS Access. I need to create a form in Visual Basic that has a combo box and a datagrid. The selection from the combo box will display all relevant information about that person on the datagrid. For example, if I select John Doe (from the combo box) the datagrid should display: [Code] How do I add John Doe to the combo box and link this query to it, when upon being selected, it displays the result in the datagrid?

I have a combobox which contains a sample of names selected from a table.Currently the default name displayed in the box is the 1st name found in the table. What I would like to do is display the name of the person who is doing the selection as the default. The name is stored in a public variable 'PubName' and I do not want the user to be able to type into the combobox themselves.Is this possible?
Ok so I have a trackbar with a min of 0 and a max of 100. i also have another trackbar with a min of 0 and a max of 75. the problem is, i want the two trackbars to look exactly the same, but since the max's are different, they look different

The left meu is a treeview.The main window is a listview and they are seperated by a split container. The buttons look soft and rounded.

By default, the background of a DataGridView is a solid color. The gridlines stop at the end of the grid of actual data leaving an ugly void in the remaining space of the DataGridView. A perfect example of what I want is the gridlines viewed in Microsoft Excel.How can I continue the gridlines past the datagrid itself to fill the DataGridView?
I'm developing a windows application with a form having three listviews. I've noticed that when I make selections on a listview and then click away, such as onto another listview, the original color of the selection changes.
How can I temporarily disable listview selection rectangle, so when someone clicks the listview and holds the button down & moves the mouse, the rectangle is not shown? And how do I enable it again after that? (VB.NET)
Ok I am designing an app in VB2005 and I need to now how to display A full barcode image in my app's. So far I have added a few Dll's but each one displays a "demo" pic over a portion of the barcode. Is there anyway to display barcodes in pic boxes or text boxes or a non demo dll somewhere.
In my project I need to use a 190 very long strings with different number of characters (4-60).I want to mark them in a short form with the numbers 001, 002, 003 ... 190. Is there an easy way to display the full name of the string when I choose a short name ? I am having throuble resetting my textboxes to nothing if the selection in the listview is nothing. I.e. when i select a record my textboxes are updated with teh selected data, but if nothing is selected after something is selected I would like to clear the textboxes to blank again.[code]
Is there any way to get hot tracking where it pretends to be selected when you move your mouse over a listview item, but not have it select it if the mouse is over the item for too long?
If you add a list view, then add a column, and an item, set the view to Details and run it, there will be dots around the item. Those dots will also appear whenever you select an item, along with a highlighted color. I've downloaded projects that don't have them, and when comparing I don't see any difference in listview settings between that and my listview... How do you remove those dots?
i am working on a program that has a randomize button that can already randomize the selection of a listbox. Now i wanted to make it also randomize the selection of a listview, but i can seem to find out how to do this. Ive tried using the same code, but it said that add isnt part of listview.

I have a form with full of objects & fix in 1020 & 800 screen solution, but if I set screen solution to 800 x 640 (to see more clear other applications) then my form show mising the right & bottom parts
1. Can VB show with auto-adjustment screen (auto show the form smaller to be fit)?
2. My form somehow can be set with Horizontal & Vertical slide (or some thing similiar) so the user can see the rest?
Is there any way to change the default colour to the highlight when a listview row is selected? Apparently the default blue colour causes some problems for some users who have some visual eyesight problems. They didn't tell me what colour they wanted but they did indicated the blue is annoying.

I have been able to associate a listview control with an imageview control to display images. There are a couple of things, I would like to do.
1> How do I display the image in the second column? 2> How do I increase the size of the image getting displayed? My images are all 48 x 48 (pixels), but they keep shrinking.
Working on a project that contains a listView (populated from a database already) and several textboxes. What I am trying to do, and cannot figure out, is to program this so that when a user makes a selection in the listview, it hits a specific database, and based on certain values within that databse, the textboxes are populated with things such as name and address, etc..
I have a listview that is populated with data. When I select a row the data is added to my textboxes for viewing editing etc. I want the row to stay focused while I am editing a textbox. I have set the property Hide selection to false for my list view but I still lose focus of the row.

I am doing a lab where you have to connect to the database using the Database Configuration Wizard in Visual Basic (Visual Studio 2008). The database connection is there since the form will display the records.The problem is the user is supposed to be able to click on the combobox arrow to select a stock rating (high, low, etc) and then the listbox will display only the stocks with that rating. I thought this would work but nothing is showing up in the listbox.
