I have a problems with my application..
1. collapse and expand treeview when i click plus sign (+) on treeview, treeview didn't expand subfolder but when i click image, treeview expand it.
2. showing path that i check on treeview when i check the treeview then i'm click the button, then return path that i check
This is my code..
When I select a node in my treeview I have no problem seeing them in my web browser.
My problem is that when I try to collapse my tree then my last viewed document in the web browser remains visibe.
How can I ensure that when I collapse my tree my web browser will also become totallt empty?
I know how to make things expand on mouseover, but how do i make it expand slowly? not that it has to take ages, but not instant either. I need to expand a listbox from width 20 to width 400 in an even manner.
Also, i would like to have the backcolor of the listbox to change from white into red for a brief second and then change to beige and stay beige until mouseleave, you know, make it look a little flashy and stuff.

Whenever the user moves their mouse over the control some white text fades in in the middle of the user control. Then after a few seconds the text fades out. The text is actually the location of the cursor but I have that figured out.

View 1 RepliesI found this question on StackOverflow. Basically, the user wanted to draw custom buttons on the titlebar. I tried the code and realised it works in vista/7 only when Aero is disabled. My question is, is there any way to draw custom buttons on the titlebar while aero is enabled? Any way of reading information from the current theme so I can style my buttons to match the already existing ones.
Here is a screenshot from my computer demonstrating the above concept. I got the additional titlebar buttons after installing DisplayFusion. And I know DisplayFusion is a .NET program because it opens in .NET Reflector. The down side is that the program is obfuscated. Not like I wanted to decompile the program or anything; I just want to add a button to my titlebar to do something else (like minimise to the system tray for instance).

I have created a custom ToolStripProgressBar. It is basically a class inherited from ToolStripStatusLabel, and i paint the 'progress' bar myself (just a simple rectangle). I have tried creating a custom ToolStripProgressBar using different methods including inheriting from both ProgressBar, ToolStripProgressBar and ToolStripControlHost. I always ran into difficulties doing in this way. Inheriting from ToolStripStatusLabel works well, but with one issue...
In order to have the progress bar update in the statusbar, i have to call StatusStrip.Refresh. Trouble is, adds a huge overhead to the drawing of the progress bar graphics. Simply calling the invalidate method of my ToolStripStatusLabel does not seem to render anything to the screen. how to have my graphics draw without calling the refresh method?
I'm in need of a custom control that will allow me to do something like the attached image. It's basically a TreeView with the exception of having a row of PictureBoxes for each child node. I'd be happy with a ListView that could do this even. I tried it briefly with a DataGridView with ImageColumns but the "look" wasn't quite what I was after. I'd like the "Parent Node" text to be situated above the row of images and just can't seem to find a control that will allow this.
View 6 RepliesThe situation is that I have a menu strip on the form from which the user can select an item, which opens a sub-menu, which opens another sub-menu which contains a combo box listing some options.
Eg. File>Project>Load>combo-box control
When the item is selected in the combo box, the code executes and modifies values on the same form, but the menu system does not collapse by itself.
I have to click on the form and then the menu system collapses.
I tried setting the focus to the form, but that does not collapse the menu system.
Does anyone know how to get the menus to collapse automatically?
I've bee working on a project for quite some time now, and I get tired of scrolling all the way to where I am going to implement new code. I use #Region a lot, but this does not help me within methods, so what I'm wondering is, is there any way to collapse text within methods, or do I have to keep scrolling?

When I say group, I mean achieve the same functionality of being able collapse and expand a block of code as would with single procedure or class. Two alternative ways I can think to accomplish this is either use a partial class for those procedures or use namespace. I just wanted to see if VS for VB.Net had another way to be able group and collapse blocks of procedures.

I have a form that depending on results from a table would create a number of buttons using code at runtime. This could range from 1 to 20 buttons. What I am struggling with is creating a generic mouse over event for each of these buttons? The reason why I want a generic mouseover event is that depending on the text on the button I would do certain things, instead of duplicating the same code in individual mouseover events.
