I'm new to VB and am trying to create something that will change specific words within a DB entry to a random word from a table. My goal is to change swear words to a random word in a separate table (like darn, dang, waterstopper, etc.) So far I have an "Input" table with the text I need to change and a "SwearRep" table with a list of words I need to replace in col "WBad" and their replacements in "WGood".

It works fine for all find and replace except if the word contains vbnewline.E.g If in webbrowser control I enter 'Hii <vbnewline> Hello'The above two words contain Enter key(i.e vbnewline) between them.If I pass following string to my Method it doesn't recognize the whole word and doesn't replace the word. I have called my method as

Does IHTMLtxtRange support vbnewline in Findtext method?If not how can i do? All the above Find and repace need to be done in code and not by popping up the form for find and replace

I need to pull a random word from a text file in my resource folder (visual Studio 2010) and then have a user enter a letter to see if it is in the word. Yes, Hangman game. How to check if string entered in a text box matches a field in a data table.I have a form with two text boxes for users to enter their Username and Password. I'm building a program in which it asks for your name and age and determines a ticket price based upon these details. I want it to show the person's name, then their age, (jump down a line) then their ticket price, and then it jumps down a line to show the next person's name, age and ticket price. Issue is, when it's meant to jump down to show the next person, it just completely deletes the last person's details.I'm using this line of code:

I am using a string builder to set up an html table row by row so that it can be emailed. I currently gather my information from the database using a data reader and while dataReader.read, I use stringbuilder.Append to add each cell value to the table.The issue is that after about 200 rows, the html breaks and displays a cell value above the table in the email. View 2 RepliesRather than running numerous queries in Access I am trying to write a front end for a DB2 database. The Access database is getting to a size that it is causing Access 2007 to have reliability issues and frequent compacting is required. I have created the Dataset, the Table Adaptors, and the Connection String already, but when I put in a bit of code in to fill the Table Adaptors the remote connection I have to work is going crazy (chewed up about 180MB before I realised it was pulling data from work).
Before I started the project I copied the .accdb to my local PC HDD and I pointed the connection string to it, but it still looks like it is trying to pull data from the work network. If it was a small database I wouldnt be concerned but it is pulling major data every time I run it. I have only 2 out of the 4 Table Adaptors running and it didnt fill them even after 10 minutes.
Here is the code I was trying to run... Server name has been substituted for Server for obvious work reasons.
Because the tables are so large I was looking for a way to pull only the columns I need to from the tables, I tried adding .SOFT_ID to the first line of code but the TA spat the dummy message below...

The following code allows words to be added to a listbox. Add the word to a text file and create a folder with the word as its name. The second part undoes the actions.If I try to delete the word immediately after adding it one of two things happen.
1.An error is reported stating the path cannot be found. Although the listbox index value is correct according to the code the error is pointing at that index +1.
2.The code continues to the point of requesting conformation to delete the folder, still pointing at the index value +1. I the action is confirmed the wrong folder is deleted.
However if I stop debugging, then run the code again all works correctly.Is it likely to persist when the application is compiled?
