Datagridview - Update Combobox Collection (remove / Add)

I have a datagridview with two columns a text box and a combo box. I can add to the combo box collection but can't determine how to remove part of a collection. Example combobox has 10 items as follows: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.
I only want to show a number 1-10 when another label has the same associated number.I have 10 labels named 1-10 but I only want the combobox to display a number 1-10 when the corresponding label has been selected previously. So, if labels 1-5 have been selected by the user than I want to have my dgv combobox to display only 1-5 and remove 6-10. I have searched but have not been able to find a similar post.

I am considering a piece of code that will manage access to a collection object from multiple threads - add, update, remove, clear. OK ... so I have put a sync lock within each method, but what is not clear from the MS documentation is exactly how the sync lock is behaving. Is it locking the piece of code it wraps? Or is it locking the object? And if it is locking the object a private static object should lock out any code locked on the object within all instances of the object? i.e. if an add operation is underway, an update, delete or clear will wait for the lock to be released.
Finally, if I have multiple threads contending for the sync lock, how is the release managed? First come, first serve? random (from my p.o.v)? Is there a chance that two separate threads could blunder into 'locked' code simulataneously?

So am back again with dattagridview and comboboxes...sorry for the troubless.. Now let me come to my scenario aka problem..I have 2 dataviewgrids in my WINDOWS APPLICATION FORM (VB.net).The first grid populates some data from the SQLSERVER 2005 DB.When I click on any cell of the first grid, my second grid shows up and populates with the data corresponding to the cell which I have clicked in the grid 1.This is working perfect and so far so good.In the second grid I have 3 combobox columns and some textbox columns..The three combobox columns in this grid are also populated from the DB only usng datasets and datasource.In the first Combobox Column if I select one value, then the corresponding values are filled into the other textboxcolumns.This is also working good.The other 2 comboboxcolumns are also populated from database using different datasets..
Am about to add a master data ( i.e data into the first grid).it got added and after that a msgbox pops up sayn u must add data into the second grid as well.so the user is adding the data in the second grid.(all works except the new requirement).he added something into the first row by selecting the comboboxcolumns and also editing the other columns in the first row.(he havent saved this row.This will happen when he clicks the save button in the form not in the grid)he goes into the second row .Now here he should not see the item from the combobox1 which he has selected in row1.

I had a functioning datagridview that was created from VB2010's datasource by clicking on a table, picking datagridview and dragging to a form. I changed three of the columns of the grid to comboboxes bound to different tables. If I change a value in a column (not a combobox column which still shows the value from the original table), I receive InvalidOperationException was unhandled on Me.TableAdapterManager.UpdateAll(Me.MasterDataDataSet). What code do I need to add if I change columns to comboboxes?

I have an issue with a data base updating it won't update for me in debgging mode it is stopping here on this bit of code which is highlighted in red. the error which comes up is .(update requires a valid update command when passed datarow collection with modified rows.)

I have 10 items in the listview.I have 10 Object of this 10 items in the collection.I want to loop through the collection then remove the items from listview. The index of the items is stored in the 10 objects, and static unchanged.If I use for each loop, once the items has been removed, the index of every item in the listview will changed.(when you remove an item in the listview, the next line item will get shift up a row)How am I going to fix this? if using for each loop, some of them items will not get deleted.Or is it possible to do a "Do Loop" or "Backward For loop" for a type collection?

In my VB.net solution I have a form in which I have to choose a beginstation and an endstation. I have to select both from comboboxes. Now what I want is that when I choose a beginstation, the chosen station will be gone in the combobox of the endstation so that I can't pick the same endstation as the beginstation.Is there a way to do this? I've tried a lot with SQL and LINQ queries but it didn't work out :(

I'm going through a book which is teaching me some basic coding principles of the language. The current section is detailing how to set up a master child form using two tables linked with a foreign key. The master table is displayed as a number of text boxes, and below is a grid with the child table which shows related records to whatever master record you happen to be checking out. At the top of the screen are the default navigation controls that are added with the grid. The master table is named Person and the child table Book. They are linked using a foreign key and have cascade set up on them.
The book informed me of the code required under the save icon on the navigation control so that when it is clicked both tables will be updated as required. It is as follows:

I have double checked that the code matches that shown, so this should in theory work fine. But if I manually delete a record from the Book (child table) grid and then click the Save icon on the navigation bar it comes up with the error "Update Requires A Valid DeleteCommand when passed DataRow collection with deleted rows".
Why changes made are not permanently saved to the database? I gather that it's using a "copy" of the data in the database but how do I get the code/form to make changes to the actual underlying database records as well as just the copy? I find this system very unusual, if someone deletes a record in the application why would anyone want this to be just done temporarily?

I am manually building up a SQL UPDATE statement out of "SET Column = @param," strings. The problem I have is that the last one of these SET statements before the WHERE, should not contain a comma, as that is as syntax error.
So my code looks like this:

Can anybody suggest a better algorithm to remove the last comma before the WHERE in the SQL statement, keeping in mind that the number of SET statements before it will vary?
As I'm adding a comma after each set, since another one can follow or not follow, so I have to after building up the UPDATE, go find that last comma and remove it.
So it should look like this:
UPDATE dbo.MyTable SET Col1 = @col1, SET Col2 = @col2 WHERE id = @id

I am making a program and in the program I give the user the option to add Custom Items into the Combobox. To make sure that the Custom Items are still there when the program is restarted I use this code in the form load
