Display Datagrid Results On Page While Exporting To Xls?

I have a working code that exports the datagrid into XLS. However, the datagrid results does not show on my aspx (html) page. It only shows on the page when I comment out the part that exports it to xls. I am not sure whether it should show by default when exporting.Basically, what I want to have is when I click my export button, it should display the datagrid on the page as well as popup an excel "open, save, cancel" window for the export.
Here is my function for referece:

I have a program I wrote a few years back and I brought it back to life with a search feature.I am using an XML file to store the data in.I have a search function that will display the first result from the textbox1.text value,it displays it in a messagebox. I'm trying to execute a SQL query and pull the results into a text file. However, I'm getting an error in the bolded part. I think probably the biggest help would be an explaination of what the code in bold is actually doing. I pulled this from a book but don't think I completely understand. To me it seems like its saying that for each row in table 'extract'. Extract it, and write it?? But it doesn't seem to work that way. When it gets to that part, the error I get says that the row doesn't exist in the table

When this runs, I get an error message that says: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'Sheet'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly. The excel file has only one sheet that is named "Sheet", and the location specified in the connection line is correct. Any ideas on why this may be happening?

I am trying to gather some information about exporting data contained in a datagrid to an excel spreadsheet. I am not using ASP. The number of rows and columns are not set(fixed). If someone was able to point me in the right direction or even better a quick example. I have search through previous threads and am unable to find any that relate to exporting from a datagrid on a windows form to an excel document.

In my application I'm exporting an Excel file by getting the layout of a HTML page. So, in my codebehind, I'm modifying the HTML layout and inserting itens on it like if it was a webpage. Doing it that way, I don't need to use any external library and, as the data I'm exporting is just a table, I don't need nothing complex to handle it. My question is: there is a way to create an AutoFilter by just modifying the HTML tags? I mean, like if a put a < b>Column Name in the HTML, when exporting to Excel it will become Bold, it is possible to do the same thing with the AutoFilter?

I am creating a notes software. This is just a simple application that will show the data from the database which are Notes_Title, Due_Date, Priority. I display the data with datagridview. I also added a checkbox for each row to the datagridview to mark as check if the Notes_title is already done. In displaying the data, I need to display only a 5 data in a row.So, I create a another CLASS that will only show 5 rows per page. But the PROBLEM is, if I mark the checkbox as check in the first page then if I turn it to the next page the checkbox in the first page that mark as check will be uncheck if I turn it back to the first page. The mark check in the checkbox will mark as uncheck if I turn the page. How can I make it mark as check even if I turn the pages? And How can I save the data row as done if I check

I have a todo-list application that will show all data from the database MySQL. These are tasks in Todo-List Application that must be display in a datagrid. But the tasks must display page by page. Datagrid must display the first 5 element or the first 5 rows when the datagrid is shown. I'm using Visual Studio 2005, and I have a datagrid connected to a table from an Access database.
I added 4 textboxes so the user can type search filters to search within the table and a "search" button.
Then, I created a query using the "add query" tool on the datagrid. I wrote it like: select field1, field2, field3, field4, field5, field6 from table where field1=? and field2 like "%"+?+"%" and field3 like "%"+?+"%"
and field4 like "%"+?+"%"
Both field5 and field6 aren't search criterias, so I didn't add them to the query. Once the query was created, I replaced the parameters inside the procedure with my textbox1.text, textbox2.text, textbox3.text, textbox4.text and then cut and pasted the whole thing inside my SEARCH button click event, so the query is executed when the user clicks on the button.
Now the problem is: when I search using the first field it goes ok, but when I try to search by any of the other fields it returns zero results, even though I double-checked I had written the words correctly. I don't know why it does this. I already tried deleting the datagrid and creating it again.[code]...

I am developing an ASPX web page to return results from two SQL stored procs via VB. When I execute these two stored procs, they both return valid data. But for some reason, when I run this report it doesn't return any errors, however, it doesn't return any records/data either!
Also, I can't debug it for some reason, although I can set breakpoints! This is using VS 2008, but I think reason I can't debug is I believe this is a limited version that just works for SSRS and SSIS.

Could the problem be due to the fact that this web page uses the same SQL connection for both stored procs? The first proc should be returned initially, and the second proc after this screen. So I don't need both stored procs information simultaneously, so I would think I could reuse the same SQL connection.
OK, I found where the problem is located. If I just comment out the Level statement in the Where clause, it does return data. So only thing I changed was that one line in my SQL code and it works. This means missing data must be due to datatype incompatibility, no? What is the problem?

I am writing a program that uses several textboxes that a user will fill in and then click the add button to add the data into the datagrid. There is no backend database or anything. Just seeing the data in the program only.
What I want to do is then export this data from the datagrid into a file, preferably excel.
I've done copying textbox data into txt files but I can't find a method to copy datagrid data into a file.

I have a search form on that will be pulling search template queries from a table in the underlying (an Access db on a share). The search form has a calendar control for filtering by date range, a listbox containing the names of the search templates, a second listbox which lists the fields in the selected template, and then some controls which show/hide themselves depending on which field is selected so that the user can pick a field and enter it's unique criteria in the appropriate control for filtering. Below these controls is a DataGrid, which will obviously display the results.
The problem is how to dynamically "transform" this DataGrid to display the selected search template. These templates do not represent tables in the underlying; rather they represent preconstructed SQL queries (stored in a table) which are essentially SELECT queries with joins and no WHERE clause (so they are the results of multiple tables joined together by their keys).
To be honest, I'm having trouble even generating the LINQ queries to represent these template dynamically, but that's not as important, since I can manually translate the SQL queries into LINQ. This is definitely not the preferred method, as the whole point of putting these templates in a table, rather than code, was to allow for future additions without rebuilding/redistributing the application interface.
