I am supposed to design and develop a program to compute the first X integer numbers of the sequence, where the X value is entered in a numeric updown Control only using values 3-150. It is supposed to display the results in a listview control that has one column. I believe that I have the code correct but I am not sure how I am supposed to add items to the column in the ListView box. I have reviewed my text and there is information on creating the listview box and adding columns but it does not show an example on adding data to the column in the listview box. I can compile it with no errors but I can't debug it.

I am working on an assignment that will display the forst 10 fibonacci numbers in sequence. However when my results are displayed, the numbers are all stacked on top of each other like this: 011235813213455. However, when I press the button that will run the command, it tells me that it can't convert the string to an integer or something. And when I did manage to get it to convert to an integer, it really showed an integer in the textbox instead of the connections and IP addresses. What do I do? I'm trying to present results on an aspx web page where a store procedure parameter is defined by a dropdown list control on the page. I have followed this guide from Microsoft and have my resultset presented in a DataGrid view. But I cannot seem to adapt it to present the resultset in a chart.
As you can see from my VB code below, I thought it would simply be a case of adapting the GridView databind to a Chart. I have tried various other options, and have successfully generated my data in a chart using a hard-coded parameter in an SQL statement on the ASP page. But when it comes to using the control, I get an empty chart.

I'm using visual studio 2010 and sql server 2005 to store my data. I'm creating a system that will allow me to find/search for records that are stored within the database. Thing is, i have 2 separate forms for this - one is the find/search page which allows you to enter in as many fields as you want (the more you enter, the more efficient the search is) and the second one is the find/search results page which will show the results from the search.
I'm not using a datagrid as i've already created these forms myself. I'm on a tight schedule because i've spent so much time already trying to get this to work. Do i need to create another dataset and tableadapter and bind the text boxes? how will i code the find/search button so the search will be carried out and the results will appear in the other form?

View 9 RepliesI have a working code that exports the datagrid into XLS. However, the datagrid results does not show on my aspx (html) page. It only shows on the page when I comment out the part that exports it to xls. I am not sure whether it should show by default when exporting.Basically, what I want to have is when I click my export button, it should display the datagrid on the page as well as popup an excel "open, save, cancel" window for the export.

I am writing my own script for a simple calculator that determines if a number is prime, and its prime factors.[code]The loopcount = compare - 2 means I want the loop to be 2 less than the square root of the answer so that when do a descending calculation (loopcount = loopcount - 1) it doesn't see if 1 or 0 is a factor of the answer. for the calculations after that, I want, every time n1 = n2 (a whole number factor of the answer), I want to report those results to a text file (n2 and n3) in this format "(n2, n3)" then go to the next line. and continue to execute the loop until the loopcount is zero. Currently, when I run the code, the application closes when I click the prime button (button that runs this code) and I don't know why. This is my first semester in school, and have never coded before, so I am a definite laymen with code, but I really really want to learn it (hence why for fun im just creating algorithms for different things).

I have tried DetailsView, ListView, Gridview etc. and cannot obtain the desired design. Is it possible to execute a Stored Procedure and have the individual results displayed in the individual cells of a web page table? This seems like it should be simple but it apparently is not.
