I'm getting the following error:A call to PInvoke function 'WindowsApplication1!WindowsApplication1.Form1::GetCursorPos' has unbalanced the stack. This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. Check that the calling convention and parameters of the PInvoke signature match the target unmanaged signature.
I get the following error when i try to run my program. i tried to rebuild it many times but still it doesn't work. visual studio cannot start debugging because the debug target windowsapplication1.exe is missing. its my first time to use ms visual studio 2008.and i think there are some dependencies missing in this software but i'm not sure what are they.
I have something strange occuring. The following code works 100% when run in VB2008 Express. When compiled and run onthe same system, it generates the above message. The codebasically opens a Access DB and loops thru the db There is a progress bar (also tried a simplelabel) to display progress using AbsolutePosition.
dbInUse.Open("Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source=C:SCDBv4DataSCDBData.mdb") rsInUse.Open(OpenCommandSQL, dbInUse, ADODB.CursorTypeEnum.adOpenKeyset, ADODB.LockTypeEnum.adLockOptimistic)
I'm currently refactoring an old Visual Basic DLL (VB.Net), which stores all of its data in one module called Globaldefinitions as public fields. There are about 200 fields, referenced thousands of times all around the code:
Public Module Globaldefinitons Public a As Short ... Public zz10 As Double
[Code]...
I need to change the module into a class with non-shared fields. This means, each and every of these thousands of references needs to reference the instance of that class:
globalDefinitionsInstance.a = 5
How do I go about this efficiently?
Regular expressions operating on the source fall flat. Refactoring tools like Re-Sharper or CodeRush don't seem to offer this functionality. Visual Studio 2010 cannot do it automatically either.
The field's names of hashtable are same of fields adodb.recordsetHow can i import the fields value of hashtable in fields adodb.recordset without do it manually?[code]....
Why MS Access adodb in .NET returns 34 in fieldcount when table has 42 fields ?I see 42 fields in table of my MS Access mdb database. But ADODB layer in .NET sees only 34 fields. The Outofrange exception occures when I am calling method getOrdinal("FieldName") of reader class.
What does this mean? This just started I never had this error.

Currently working on a project to automate the input based on the Summary file (xls format)
1. I want to be able to do the following: update, append, delete and populate the records to the various files based on two distinct fields, column A & F (see attached file).
2. Researched the process, requires knowing VB codes, are you familiar with this language? If so, how can I simplify the process? Please advise.
I am getting some wierd errors when using the ReportViewer control in Visual Studio 2008. When I try to access the LocalReport property, it displays with this error: "Cannot find the method on the object instance.". Also, I am getting invalid cast errors saying I cannot cast from Microsoft.Reporting.Winforms.ReportViewer to Microsoft.Reporting.Winforms.ReportViewer. I am getting this using either CType or DirectCast. This is really frustrating as I can find almost no documentation on this error.
I am coding a simple calculator and I need the textbox to show the previous entries when I enter them. I hear the best way to do this is by Append Text? For example I click 3 Then + The textbox will show "3+" etcetera.
I'm trying to obtain the values using the prospective GetValue(s) methods but I don't understand the syntax of the documentation. I'm sending the correct bindings (I believe) to filter the fields, and properties that i'm interested in usually
what can i do about this all of my line of coding are correct when i run the program this is the error i got The item "obj\Debug\WindowsApplication1.CkoudResouces.resources" was specified more than once in the "Resources" parameter. Duplicate items are not supported by the "Resources" parameter.
The following VB code is from an application that I am developing. It establishes a record set by executing a SQL query on a SQL connection (ADODB). On the first pass through, the statement fails with an error 91, I trap it and re-execute the sub and then the statement works! The statement that fails is italicized and bolded below.
Private Sub LBTasksAD_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
I am getting errors when I try to use this adodb.connection and command in my code. The error I am getting is saying that the connection and command are not defined. I read online that depending on your version of vb that you might use the "OLE" connection instead of ADODB.
I have tried several versions of this with no luck. The casting of the worksheet works as my data is entered in other parts, but I have a section where I need to add data 1 column right of the cell containing the 'str(0)' value. Most of these parameters are optional. I have even tried the System.Reflection.Missing object.
After finish my software, when I was try to run in other computer the error was: Don't possible to get the file or assembly 'ADODB, Version=7.0.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f711d50a3a'...How the best solution for this error? Just to put the last adodb.dll in the application folder?
Does anyone know how to get my class name and method name dropdown lists again? It's the dropdown lists that are usually above the code. It's just a setting but i can't seem to find it. I don't want to reset my setting btw. I shouldn't have to.
I'm trying to set up a database connection between an ASP page running VBScript, and I have found code to do this. However, the 'provider' attribute to the connection does not work. The code is below:
set conn=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") <strong>conn.Provider</strong>="Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0" conn.Open(Server.MapPath("mIndexDb.xls")) set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset") rs.Open "Select * From mIndexDbTable", conn
Just got this error in my vb2008 programs when trying to install on other computers (customers running XP and Vista). I am on a Win7 computer and are using MS Access 2007 databases. Up to now everything was just perfect - but now.... Tried to search the net for solutions, but got a lot of mumbo-jumbo I can not understand. what to do in order to supply a set-up program which works.
I have no experience with VS 2008 Express yet. But, I need to use it to make a small VB app for work that connects to an Access database and gets table values.I have no samples to work from. I keep getting the error: Type 'ADODB.Connection' is not defined. How do I create the reference to ActiveX Data Object?
This is not a homework of mine and i had never tried ms access database with vb so i just gave it a shot. so this is my first time and i am just trying not asking anyone to complete my homework. I have been searching for this a lot on internet but couldn't find a solution to this so i decided to ask this question here. i have this sql code. what i want to do is that create a basic login form where users puts it's username in the UsernameTextbox and Password in the PasswordTextbox. If the the information match then a message box appears saying that the user is valid and if the information does not exist, a mesage box appears saying the users is not valid. now everytime i execute(run) the code, i come up with this error: Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression ''UserName' = 'Admin' 'PassWord' = 'testing123''.
The field names(UserName, PassWord) are also correct they are same as in the database. the information put in the username and password textbox are correct and they match the information on the database. But i dont know why this error comes up.
My code module is the following:
Imports System.Data.OleDb
Public Class LoginForm1
' Cancel button Private Sub Cancel_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Cancel.Click Me.Close() End Sub
I'm working through a book that does not provide a lot of example code and what it does provide is in C#. The book refs vs 2005 but I'm using vs2008. The author asks for the user to create a solution with two projects, one winforms and the other a class library (called DependentAssm). The class library is added as a reference to the winforms project In the class library, he asks one to create a new class called SayHelloComp. The project created a file called class1.vb, and a class called class1 which I renamed to SayHelloComp. I left the file name alone, that's ok right?
Let say I have a function inside a class which require 4 parameter (table name, field name, field value, return field) When I use this function my form, such as
myclass.Search("customers", <-- after pressing the "," a popup list will be displayed that contain all the fields in "customers" table.
I'm getting "Me' is valid only within an instance method" error when I convert function to a PageMethods. [code] If I remove Me, I get different error.I got this shopping cart script somewhere online and I'm not sure what to replace "Me.objDR" with something else.
