I am using comboboxes to display specific fields in any parent tables, instead of the user seeing the foreign key. Everything is fine. However, I would like to filter the BindingSource based on text matches between any of the fields in the child table and the corresponding fields of the parent tables.

When I use the code on above, it doesn't remove the listview items in the label when I click on the checkbox on each row. Do you know how to remove the string in the label when I click on the checkboxes in the listview while the strings in the label is matched with the listview subitems?
I want to filter data on the textchange event on listview so I use dataview to filter data. Issue in the below code is, I use dataview inside for each so that it checks only one condition that is last value only it takes, I want to check value in s1 with dataview and remaining value should bind with listview. I'm having a little trouble trying figure out a way to filter specific file formats to only show in a Listview. For example I only want .txt files to show in a Listview and no other file formats. Is this achievable?I've had a look around the net but not found anything relevant to what I am trying to achieve.

This code runs through the filtering however it fails with an error "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it." on the following line:

What would be the problem here? I can't seem to find any samples with filtering through the BackgroundWorker.

The issue is in the last line. ID_Part is an Int64 data type filters(0) is a string so the system returns a "Can't perform 'Like' operation on System.Int64 and System.String" error message.As you can see I tried converting the data type, but that failed since it is encased in String.Format()- it's going to be a string no matter what, I suppose.It's almost 1:00 a.m. so I'm not firing on all cylinders.

i have a listbox w/items. that when running code, the rtb, if it contains a listbox item, it replaces it.. no problem there..the problem i'm facing is that if i have the word "To" in the listbox, by using .contains, when running text in rtb, if i have "DeskTop" as a word in rtb, it ends up replacing the "To" in "DeskTop"..
i have tried the intellisense menu to the limit on finding something other than .contains to use in order to only replace if it matches exactly the item in the listbox. no luck. ;o/
I'm trying to find a good way to parse through text and only get certain matches, like say someone puts the text "My name is Bob" in a textbox, then it puts the text "<Tag>My name is Bob</Tag>" in another textbox, and my problem is, if that person were to put..."My name is </Tag> Bob" in the textbox, when the RegEx match is found, you would only get "My name is" as a match. So how can I make sure that the text input no matter what it is will not interfere with the <Tag></Tag> when using the RegEx:

Usually i just use a dictionay for key value pairs but I am expectig three columns.
