I have a problem about finding a text in ListView....
Ex:

If I input "n" then ListView should have

I am using ListView Control which CheckBoxes property of the control is set to true..when the from is loaded then all ordernos are loaded into the listview. when i select the orderno then enter contain of the selected orderno to displayed in datagridview control. now i want select 4 order nos and want to display all contain of 4 selected ordernos how find out which orderno is selected through loop and in which even i have to place.

When the user drags to left, I have to add the item to previous row. When the user drags to right, I have to add the item to nect row.
The below code is not working as expected. each row has 5 items. When the user drags to right in the first row, It is giving the TargetIndex as 5. It is giving the same value for targetindex, when the user drags the item in 2nd row to left end.

My team wants to use a large bar code that the tester has to hold in front of the camera.
So I need to figure out how to either read the bar code, or just read the text in the bar code, which reads, "* C A M *."

I have an assignment due tomorrow, and I thought I had it all figured out but there is one question I don't know how to program. The assignment consists of a form with textboxes in which the user types info about a book (author, title, genre, etc.), which he can save to a textfile by clicking the save button. (At the moment it's not saving it to a textfile but just a 'file', which can be opened with notepad but is of no specific datatype, not sure how I do that, but is less important). When the user search for the text from the search box from another window form named "FindForm", I want to highlight all the matching result in the data grid view. I have a program that sorts through data and exports to excel. This works fine on a small file but when using a bigger one it runs down then repeats the same line around 1k times then moves on to wrap it up.

All I am doing is reading each txt file I find in a directory and finding certain strings in the text then counting how many I find in each file and then once each file has its separate counts it send it to a sql database. I have most of it done, but I cant seem to get the count to separate each file so my problem now is that it counts the first file but when it counts the next file it adds to the first file and so on through all the files
Well I basically know how to read a text file, replace text then write to one. how to append text after a specified string (ie, insert text at a specified line, removing the text after a string in a line and changing it without altering other lines, etc). Can someone please tell me how I would go about adding a string after a certain string in a text file? For example:

I'm using vb.net. Basically, I have a drop down list, text box and a submit button. You choose a movie director from a drop down list, then type in a movie, click button and it adds the data to my database.There's another button which hides/shows drop down list, text box and submit button using Visible = True and Visible = False, but what I don't like about it is when it hides the things I said before, it leaves some white/empty space like if they are still there, but not visible.Is there anyway to put some kind of holder/container and place a button which when clicked could add my drop down list, text box and submit buttons to that place?
I have a CheckedListView (suggested in a post I read, and it seems to fit my needs) which I populate with the filtered names of the files from within a selected folder. Then the user selects the ones to process, by using the checkboxes. So basically it is a single column text box with checkboxes down the left hand side.
What I've been trying to do is get the selected text (i.e. the name of the file) and put it in a string array for later use.
I've used various forms of: For each item as .....ListViewItem......Next and also various forms of for x = 1 to Listitem.count......Next

Instead of displaying this into a textbox for the user (which is what it currently does), I wanted to display this into a listview instead. I'm just stuck on how I would be able to separate the pieces of data in this string into listview items since these objects wont always be the same. I'm not expecting anyone to write the code FOR ME, no. BUT, rather just some pointers on how to go about this.
I have been trying to load two text files into a listview all weekend, this one has me stumped. I have searched the web and my material but have been unable to make anything work or display the data in the listview.
I am trying to load two text files at the same time. I have figured out how to load the files but I cannot get the data to display. One file has 50 lines of numbers, which I want to display in column 1, and the other file contains 50 lines of letters, which I would like to display in column 2.
Once the data is loaded to the listview I will need to sort the columns by alphabetical order and numeric order. But I need to get the files to load and display first, this is the code I have come up with so far:

I have a 3rd windows form opened and I have 2 textboxes to add Username and Password as well as a button that says add account. Username is named as Email2 and Password is named as Pass2 and the button is addaccount2. The forms are named Form 1 Form 2 and Form 3. I have a listview in form2 that has columns with names and im trying to get it to when you fill in the info on Form3 the username and pass and click the Add account button it will put it in the listview box but I would like it to be so username would be under the username column and password to be under password column under Form2 in the listview.
