Focus On A Specific Tab In IE8

I have a stand alone application that I am writing that has a button to luach a website I am developing.The button checks to see if the website is already open.If it is, the application should set focus to the website in IE8.I am having, is if the website is already open in a tab in a IE8 window, but the focus is on another tab (e.g.url..I can set the focus to the entire IE8 window using the HWND, but not the tab I intend to have focus.Even though they are multiple tabs, they all have the same HWND because they are in the same window.

I am having problem setting focus on specific cell in my Datagridview1 . On Form1 when clicking on cell 3 in any row, I am callig a Dialog1. However, when done working with it, and closing the Dialog1, the focus returns to cell 3 in my Datagridview1 . I like to set the focus on the next cell(4) making it the current cell.
I have tryed :
DataGridView1.SelectionMode = DataGridViewSelectionMode.CellSelect
DataGridView1.CurrentCell = DataGridView1.Item(4, e.RowIndex)
DataGridView1.CurrentCell = DataGridView1.CurrentRow.Cells(4)
And few other things, I am always getting this exception: Operation is not valid because it results in a reentrant call to the SetCurrentCellAddressCore function.

I'm making a desktop application in vb.net. When I click the back button (placed by me) on any form it hides current form and shows previous form but when i go again to the form from which i had hit back button then the focus cue still remains on the back button but I want the focus to be on the first textbox on that form or any specific button on which I want.....How can i achieve this...
I have already used some code to shift focus from one textbox to another when i press enter key...but it doesn't work in the above mentioned case....I'm using vb.net in visual studio 2005...This is the code i'm using for shifting focus among textboxes

I need to know how to set the focus to a specific tab on a multi-tab tab control.[code]each followed by a .Refresh, but the tab control stays on the same tab. Do I have to cycle thru the index to get back to the base tab on the form, or what?

I have a form with 3 controls that have TabIndex values set:Combo box (cboPostpone) - TabIndex = 0 Postpone Button - TabIndex = 1 Install Now button - TabIndex = 2
The code below is part of the Timer1.Tick event The code below seems to change the focus but then when trying to tab through the controls, it stays on the combo box.

Lastly, I removed cboPostpone.Focus() command from the Timer1.Tick event and move it to the Postpone button Click event. I run the focus command right after the me.hide command. I delayed it the first time and it came back with the Postpone button in focus again instead of the combo box.

I am trying to figure out how VB can focus a specific program and then send commands to the program only. The focus would only be for the commands and would not make the program you are currently in lose focus. Simply, what it is controlling is a Windows Application called GOM Player. I use it to study my material for school. I plays movies in it and don�t have to click out of the application I am working in to pause, play or rewind. The keypad and the company who make it actually have it built into iTunes and it does exactly what I want GOM Player to do.
The reason I dont just use iTunes is because I can�t get my video files to play in iTunes. After pulling teeth with the manufacture I finally to tell me that the iTunes functionality is accessible via plugins built into iTunes. So trying to mimic what is being done there does not help. I believe that a knowledgeable VB programmer could answer my question in seconds, but having some experience with coding and programing I know it also could be a lot more than what I think. [URL]
The question is: What is way that VB can send the key for the macro only to the GOM Player Application even if it is not focused or even If it is minimized.

When i call TextBoxNameHere.Focus() it sets focus BUT it highlights the contents of the text box
I need it to set the cursor to be at the last character so if someone presses a key after that it doesn't erase the content, I have searched through a great deal of questions, but most of them are just asking how to set focus which i already know =|

Is there a more efficient/easier way changing the backcolor of a control when it has focus and lost focus? Let's say I've got 10 text boxes. Right now I would have 20 different events...10 for Enter event and 10 for Leave event. Of course, entering would change the back color to "green" and leaving would change it back to "white".

Here is what I've done:1) Created an Excel COM add-in for Excel 20032) Added a NotifyIcon to the Windows taskbar notification area (aka system tray) during ThisAddIn_Startup3) Added a ContextMenuStrip with a ToolStripButton to the NotifyIconWhy is it when I right click on the NotifyIcon, Excel gains focus? If after clicking on the NotifyIcon to display the ContextMenuStrip I choose not select an option on the ContextMenuStrip and instead click back on the Excel window, I get a weird flashing cell in Excel.I've created a video of the problem to help you see what I [url] anyone know how to prevent this? I have two forms in an application. One is he background and then I show another keypad form called with the show() method (not showDialog) because I need to perform some validations on btn click.
The kepad has 10 buttons and an Enter Button. The problem is that the form keeps loosing focus (I checked this with a messagebox which keeps poping up once for focus=true and again for focus=false, it continuously keeps losing and gaining focus) so it does not process any keypress events untill i click somewhere on the form. I tried using me.focus() in form load event but to no avail. The forms TopMost property is also set to true.

I have a textbox on a form that when it loses focus it updates other text boxes on the form. But before it updates the other textboxes I check the input value in the textbox lostfocus event if it is undesired I return focus to the the textbox and alert the the user with a msgbox. However where my problem is, is that when the cancel button is clicked I don't care what the input in the textbox is because the changes are being canceled but if the value is undesired the it keeps returning focus to the textbox instead of canceling the changes. Is there a way to see what control was clicked on before or in the lost focus event? Can't seem to figure it out tried enter and leave events but no luck!

I wonder if it is possible to find a specific row and specific columns in data base file (Access) . You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

So im trying to get evything that has ends with .iso into a list box, tryed a couple of things but not getting anywhere as yeat
Here is code.

The Locate String is there because thats the location where the iso files are but the application is in the root of the drive. The ListBox1 command is fairly easy to understand

As you can see in the example the content has two "Quotes" so i jest want to remove only one from the first line and last line of the content
And note "[quote=randombla13]" the length after the = is Unknown it maybe of 6 characters or less or more

Strange story... I downloaded VMWare but it has since advised of an available update. I downloaded the update and when I click to install it, a window comes up with VB Code from a project I created a while back in a completely separate folder from this install file. I then tried downloading the trial of VMWare Workstation and when running the installer it shows the same thing. I don't know of anyway to contact VMWare support since I don't pay for any services or products and all there is available is a FAQ type section. Of course this problem would not be in there, nor can I find any such related issue online. his is VMWare specific or perhaps the type of install specific. I have no other issues with any other app installations other than with VMWare installations.

Basically, for my first VB project, I am creating a virtual keyboard where a sound is played from the resources on KeyDown. So far, the program seems to work except for the fact that each key needs to be clicked by the mouse before the sound is played by pressing each key (hence put the object in focus), where I need the key to play the sound without clicking the keyboard key (put the object in focus on KeyDown). Below is an example of my code:
