Force User To Select Minimum Two Check Boxes In Each Section In Gtrid View?

I have to select checkboxes besed on group column values. If you see below gridview, column 3 (GroupNo) has 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2....etc (this column data is not static, will change based on page index. i.e PageIndex =2 may starts with 7,7,7,8,8,8,8,8,9,9,9 etc).In every sectio/Group User must and should select minimun 2 check boxes. so If user select only one check box we need to show a pop up message as " Please select One more check box in that particular section" If User skips the message and move to next section we have to show the same message. We have to force the user to select more than one checkbox in the same section. Mainly our intention is the check boxes whatever user selected in each section/Group belongs to one Category.
I have a desktop application by which i have to send mail to multiple recipients. There is a grid view in a form. There are some customer list in the grid view and for each row there will be a check box. User can check or uncheck the check boxes. Also there is a send button. when user click on the send button then a mail will be sent to those customer whose check boxes are checked.

In VB.Net 2010, is there any way to do multi-select in a drop-down/combobox, preferably with check boxes in the drop down? I've seen various discussions on the 'net about this but no such beast appears to exist within the tool.?

I am a beginner so please be patient. I am trying to solve problems with existing code. We have a tree view where user may check off multiple files (tif,pdf, doc etc) for printing.When the print buttton is clicked each document should be printed. I'm just starting to learn vb.net and have never worked with cookies. I'm wondering if I can store an array of name value pairs in a cookie, so they can be retrieved by index number. I'm not really even sure if that's the best way to handle the issue. I'm programming a Minesweeper clone in Visual Studio 2010, with VB.NET, as a Windows Form Application, and I'm having trouble with the Game Won and Game Lost forms. When I show those forms, I want the game form to still be visible, so that the player can see where the mines were, but I don't want the game form to be enabled until the Game Won or Game Lost form is closed. Exactly like Windows Minesweeper does when you win or lose.

I've got an application that bi-directionally syncs with an SQL express 2008 server. right now, I've got a hardcoded sa user in my conection string, however one feature that was asked for was to audit every change made by end users into the database. I'd like to force a user to make a selection from a combobox.I've tried to test it by Combobox.SelectedText = String.empty as well as another version similar to this but a little different.When I test it, it will tell me that it is still unselected/blank even when I selected something.

I'm using Visual Studio and table adapters using an Access DB as the backend. I need the minimum 4 digit value. I want to get next available 4 or 5 digit number. And this will change depending upon the users request. Currently I use a table adabpter query. But how would I write a query. I suppose I could do a long iterative loop through all values until I see a 4 digit.But I'm trying to think of something more efficient.

I've written a VB.NET program for a client that stores all of its data in XML files. I use the XMLReader to read the data into a dataset. When I run the sub to encrypt the XML file, I'll get the following message: Error: mscorlib: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.
It doesn't happen all the time, so I know it does work. But on occassion, I'll get this message. I've been all over the forums and I've tried everything I've read to try and stop this error.
I close the reader object and set it equal to Nothing. I've even tried using DoEvents to make sure the object finished closing before running the Encrypt sub. Nothing has helped.
I develop on a x32 PC. It works fine on the development machine. But then, when the client runs it on a x64 PC, he gets these errors. Could the x64 system really be running so fast that the .Close() and the = Nothing and evern the .DoEvents() can't keep up?
I have actually two list boxes and grid view.The grid view has three coloumns fields.Now i want to customize the grid view with the list box. Suppose the fields are employeename,employee id,employee code. The left list box contains all the three fields namely employeename,employee id,employee code.There is an add button fixed so that on adding the selected row moves to right list box;the moved row gets removed from left list box.Now left list box has only rows employee name and employee id.Whereas right list box has employee code.Now when user hits Ok button the rows in the right list box are only highlighted.

I would like to try and implement a feature wherby once you have logged into an application (straightforward winforms application) and had your credetials verified the application would then force you to log on again if no activity had been detected in the application for a certain number of minutes. In essence I want to provide some extra security for those occasions when users get up and wander away from their machines for prolonged periods.
I have all the logic for logging into the application, it's just the checking for no activity over a given period and then forcing the user to log back in again that I'm not having much luck with.
I have a text box labled QTY, which feeds the QTY column on a datatable. the table then is ran through a function that takes the data and converts it to a string which my production machine can read. My problem is this, and its probably really simple (these problems usually are) how to i force the user to use a specific type of input on the txtbox so they would have to put the QTY in the format of 01 02 03 etc etc, i have it set to default to 00 but i want to force the user to haver to input 2 chars.
I want to create a simple form with 2 buttons, one to end the program and one to log the user off, I have done this successfully and have everything looking and working as it should. However, I want to force the user to pick one of these buttons before using the machine, my idea was to trap the mouse in the form so the only thing the user can do is select a button. My question is how can I do this?
