Message Boxes In .NET?

Apr 15, 2011

Windows 7 Home Premium X64 Visual Basic 2010 Express SP1 All Visual Studio updates installed except for a Visual C++ security update

The problem:Sometimes message boxes in a console app close after clicking the ok button on one before all the messages are displayed. It is just supposed to display one message box after another. Same code as above, A message box in a console app will sometimes minimize to the taskbar before displaying all the messages after the OK button is clicked on The same code as the above 2 problem but in a Windows form app will display all of the message boxes, But.sometimes won't show the form at the end like it should.

The bugs I know happen when I run the programs from VB itself, don't know about the EXE outside of VB.I know it isn't my code because others have tried it and had no problems. What can I try to fix it?EDIT: Code for the one with the button and form:Public Class Form1

2 Message Boxes Are Opeing

Oct 19, 2009

I am doing an application where a person can enter a string in a text box. The application reverses it. That all works fine.

I am trying to set up an if statement where if nothing is entered in the box and Submit is clicked, a message box pops up and tells you that the box can't be empty. The message box pops up fine but when the user clicks on ok to close the box, another blank box pops up. How do I get rid of the blank message box?

Now the problem I am having is that when I run my code I only get two message boxes when I believe I should be getting 30 - (15 a's and 15 b's).[code]

.net - Can A WCF REST Endpoint Be Forced To Accept Raw Message Format

Jan 25, 2012

I have a web service with both SOAP and REST endpoints. I have to accept requests from a client that I do not have any control over on my REST endpoint. Currently the client gets a 400 response and the tracelog on my server shows this error:

The incoming message has an unexpected message format 'Raw'.
The expected message formats for the operation are 'Xml', 'Json'.

I've tried everything I can think of with the WebContentTypeMapper but seem to end up right where I started every time. The request from the client doesn't appear to be well formed XML or JSON so if I try to force XML or JSON types from the WebContentTypeMapper I end up with parser errors.

So I guess I need to find out if I can force this endpoint to accept the message anyway.

VS 2010 Coding Forms - Creating Some Forms And Message Boxes?

Dec 25, 2011

I'm looking forward to reading and adding more to the community here. I've created a text based rpg. Next semester we are learning Visual Basic. I'm on winter break and I would like to get a head start on my learning. I've been working on creating some forms and message boxes. What is throwing me off, is that I have a good feel for doing coding so that I get functionality the will produce effects in a console. Coding the forms is a bit confusing for me. Is this something that others have run into? Is their some good primers for VB? I don't have my text books yet.

I'm using Visual Basic/Studio 2010 Express to run my VB program using MS Access database. I also would like to do this with combo boxes and their selected indexes. So if the combo box has 10 items in it; the new selected index would be the random number generated above.
