Jan 27, 2011IT STILL GIVES A MSGBOX IF I SELECT THE CHECKBOX BOX OR NOT ....My code below will redirect to Google in both conditions: If the user selects the checkbox, then it will redirect to www.google.com, but if a user forgets to check the checkbox then it shows the msg box with an ok button. When I click on ok it should redirect to www.google.com
I want When a user forgets to check any of the checkboxes to show a msgbox with an ok button and stay on the same page. Otherwise if user selects any of the checkboxes then redirect to google

Auto-resize Columns Based On Char Count
May 11, 2009I am trying to figure the best way to programmatically re-size table column headers in ReportViewer.Basically, my current resolution is the following: ColumnWidth = Header Caption_CharacterCount * 0.32...Where 0.32 is an estimated width of a typical character using my current font size.The issue is that the width leaves a lot of whitespace for longer captions.The more characters a caption has, the more whitespace I end up with.The issue with estimating this way is that not all characters are the same width. A good example would the the "I" character, which takes up less screen width than the rest of the alphabet.[code]

Feb 27, 2009I'm making an application for a website and it's going to be used by multiple people.The application will open up a site in webbrowser, use HTML ID to fill in textfields and then it will press "Logon"The problem is, in my application i need to tell the user if login was succesful or no.I couldn't do it with URL string because:
The login page is [url]....for example once they are logged on they will get [url]......But the ID for everyone will be diferent.How can I check if the login was succesfull and report it with a msgbox or in a log/listbox "login succesfull" or "login un-succesfull"

VS 2005 - Select Count Always Evaluate To False
May 25, 2011My tables sectionName column has an existing value. I want to update its Adviser column but my select count always evaluate to false. I want to check if my table's SectionName column record matches the selected value of my CboSectionName. if there is a match then i'll check if such section has an adviser already. If there is an adviser already, then ask the user if he/she wants to change the adviser of that section. If he/she wants to change/update the adviser then update it else exit. however, if there is no adviser yet then assign an adviser to column adviser from cboAdviser. If no record yet in table's SectionName column then prompt the user that there is no section name yet, then exit. I have been debugging the code below for hours now but I can seem to locate why my sql count always resulted to false. [Code]

Jul 16, 2010I am writing an add-in for VB.NET 2008. I am getting some strange behavior when I run the generated form and was wondering if anyone has any clue as to why this happens. I re-booted and started fresh and get the same results.
I am trying to select the contents of the textbox when the user clicks on it using the Enter event. I tried the following

Apr 29, 2011Writing a little program for my wife and thought it would be cool to have the calendar auto select the next day of her choice when she opens it. Example it's Monday and she opens the program to make notes about things for her girly get together every Thursday. Right now she opens it and has to select the next Thursday first to get the date.
What i thought would be cool is if the program picks the next Thursday for her, in the future the night may change to Tuesday so i don't mind hard coding the selection for now as it wont change all the time.Is there an easy calendar or date picker routine available for this or is it a roll up the sleeves, i searched and not finding anything.

Dec 7, 2010I have a Windows form that has a datagridview on it. I populate it with records from a database. I have a checkbox on each row. Then I have a textbox on the form outside of the datagridview. Each time a checkbox is checked I want to count it and show it in the text box. Each time a checkbox is unchecked I want it to subtract the count.
