When a button is pressed Form B is launched that allows you to add a record to the database table. Sep 5, 2010I have a small program which draws some lines with a method called: Drawlines But Now I want to call this method in the load form routine. So if the form is loaded the lines should be drawn in the picturebox. But is this possible or should the form first be loaded completely before you can call methods in that same form?

They all are loaded from the database at the form load event and therefore takes too much time to load and show some part of form during that time. When it load completely it shows the whole form. Is there any way that user will see the complete form instead of some broken form.

Feb 10, 2011I have a very large program I would like to write but think starting with a smaller test program would be a good idea. What I want to know is: I have a base Form from which a user clicks a button to answer a question (Answer A, B, C, or D) which if the answer is correct will pop up a "Correct! answer response in a separate window. This is ok for now, however, when the "proceed to next question" button is clicked, I would like the next question to appear in the original base form window.
Right now it pops up in a separate window and I'd rather not have 20 windows open at the end of the quiz. How do I load the next form in the same window!? Obviously it's possible and could be something I'm completely overlooking, and I've also read that I could replace all data with the next Form. I have searched "Visual Basic load form in same window" and came up with results, but none of what I'm looking for.

While the .NET form is working fine in all other testing projects and environments, I've found that the Form_load event is actually firing twice once it's in executing in the VB6 runtime.Not only annoying, its forcing my initialization code to execute twice (causing all kind of problems on the second run).

The insertion part of the form works great. But my problem is in the form load part......If i leave a field blank(Null),then perform Save operation,close the form after successful insertion and then reopen the form,then it retains the previous values during the form load......This is only in case where i leave a field blank in the previous data entry in the database.......But if i enter values in all fields then form load is working great.

Nov 24, 2010I'm having one basic aspx script that needs to load some "plugins". Every plugin has its own settings and it should perform different logics. What i'd do in php is create a class for each plugin, load that class, pass the settings file to it and call some method on that class that would give me some output. But is it even possible in vb.net? I'd need to have multiple files with multiple classes, load those files, depending on the plugin name and call some method on them to parse that plugin's settings.
