This code is apllicable for windows but when I run this into Window CE 5.0 in a handhaled scanner/mobile computer it wont run. windows are using "Kernel32" how about in window CE 5.0? The error appeared is " Can't Find pinVoked DLL 'Kernel32'.
How can I play a tone or beep using VB.NET. I don't want to use Console.Beep() because I want the tone to always come out of the speakers, not the speaker on the motherboard.Goldfish64

I would like to press an 'edit' button to create a copy of the keypad window/bring up a reusable version of the same window (I don't care), but pass in parameters: the old value I'm manipulating, and a title to be displayed above the number pad. I would like the user to be able to type in the new value, then press the 'done' key to submit this value and have it sent back to the main application window into my custom control that contains a text box.(I have the number pad's layout sorted out already; I'm already using a variation on it to set a global password 'access level'. It's getting the information in and out that has me scratching my head.) [code]

I have a window that I need to activate and the window name does not work in AppActivate("WindowName") because this does not work with partial captions etc... and the window name will be different depending on user. That being said I am able to use "GetwindowhandlefromPartialCaption" to retrieve the # value of the window name or handle. Is there a way to convert this or extract the name from the handle ID to use with AppActivate?

I wrote the below function to sleep, while processing the window events. It works well enough, but I'd like to improve the accuracy of the sleep. Example - If you call it with 10 msec (0.010), it can take up to 15 msec of real time before it exits. How to make it closer to 10 msec?

However, because the maskedtextbox is full I get an annoying 'beep'. So I figured I'd just use the tab key, I changed theChrW(Keys.Return) to ChrW(Keys.Tab) but it doesn't fall through, it just changes focus to the next maskedtextbox that I have.
