Getting Info From Data Grid Viewer And Placing In Textboxes

I am building a networking application with Visual Studio using the VB .NET programming language. I have multiple forms in this program but would like some advice or an example on how to proceed with one small issue I encountered. Let's say I have two forms: frmCalls and frmView. frmCalls has a Data Grid Viewer that is data bound to a MySQL Database. You can see specific columns and the values to those columns in the rows that the data grid viewer provides.
Now, what I want to do is when a row is selected on the Data Grid Viewer and the user clicks a button titled "More Info", I want the data grid viewer to interpret the data that the user would like to see more info on and place it in a form in frmView. For example: Columns: ID, Address, Time, Incident Nature, Date, etc...
When the user clicks the More Info Button, it should put all the information from the Data Grid Viewer in the appropriate text boxes in frmView. I also want it to input data that is not shown in the Data Grid View, but is located within the same ID or row in the database. I should add that the Data Grid Viewer is using a data bound source, table adapter, etc. Anyone have any suggestions for me on how to proceed? Or maybe some sample code if at all possible.

I am looking for a Visual Basic control for my windows application. It's a either a datagridview or listview in VB 2010. The list actually come with the filtering function on the top row. The user is allowed to key in the search key in the respective column and the list will filter at run time. Please refer to the picture below for your reference, the function is in the red box. I found this control in one of the software. Is there any similiar control in the VB 2010 or 3rd party control?

I'm looking to see if anyone has a sample app or has a link to such an app that uses data binding with a grid control and textboxes and is able to insert, change and delete from a datatable which gets updated to a sql server database.I have done an app that has the grid control and the textboxes already and is able to change and delete from the datatable and that action is reflected in the grid control because it has the datatable as the binding source.
The problem I'm having is when the user tries to insert into the datatable I get a concurrency violation error when using the .Update statement to save the changes to the database. This is happening because I don't know exactly how to get those inserts synchronised correcly.I'm sure I'm also doing the processing wrong but here is what I'm doing.When the user clicks an insert button I insert a new row into the datatable. The user now has the ability to enter text into the textboxes. When the user is finished doing that the user can click the save button which issues a .Update statement. That's where the error is displayed

I want to be able to search the windows event log (security) on our 2008 DC to find out when a certain user logged in. Using the system.diagnostics.eventlog namespace I can search and view information based on the event Id(4624) but I cannot work out how to display the login name of the user.

I want to be able to scan an item and that information be sent to a data grid. I'm able to scan a bar code and have it populate a textbox just fine. My problem is getting it from the textbox to the data grid.
The way it works, the textbox has to have focus so it can accept the input for the item being scanned. I've placed it behind the data grid and it works well like that but I was curious if anyone else knew of a better way to do this.
I'm curious if there is a way to detect if something has been scanned and if so, send it to the textbox or whereever else it can go.

I am using the read all lines to read all the contents of a file and store it in an array. I have used that data and display it to textboxes by splitting the lines. I want to now all if the user change the text in a text box, I want to write that updated information back to the file.

I am trying to ask the user the add personaly information in the text boxes. Then based on what the user clicks on the radio button precourse, the application will deterimine what the costs will be for the participant. Here is my code. I am not getting error messages in the objPreCurse or objParticpant class, but in the form on line 47-55 where the If and then statements appear.

I'm Making my own email reminder. When a button is clicked it will send info from three textboxes and one richtextbox.But when i get the email, the text arent with spaces between what is typed in the diffirent textboxes.

Is it possible to place data from a vb.net windows form program to a program that we can't edit. What i am trying to accomplish, is setup either an automation or select several drop downs and press save and it will save everything into the program that we don't have control over.I can find the window handle and the class for each window with spy +++ would this help me so i can atleast put text into a box? The program i am trying to place data into doesn't write to any type of database it only writes to an xml file. From there we pull data from the xml file to feed our vb.net program Where is the best place for me to start on this?

i am currently working on a form that looks like this: When i click on any textboxes under Plan Code, the plan form will pop up. When i click on a field in lbType, field will appear in my lbCode. When i click on a field lbCode, i want to be able to insert information into the textboxes.
The problem i have is that i can only get the form to work for the first row of textboxes. Because my code looks like -

this application I'm writing is for Employee Data. I have 7 texboxes and 1 combo box.With the file menu I have used that function to save info inputed in one texbox. However for this application I need to use btnSave button to save the record.

This is a VB .NET application where we are showing the output of a SQL statement in a Datagrid view. using .NET 2005.We need to get the seperators of the headers on the grid control to be the same colors as the GridColor on the form. See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?

I have searched the web and this site for an answer but have not been able to solve this problem.I am not able to place a flashing cursor in a specified cell of a data bound DataGridView on Form_Load.My test project consists of a single Visual Basic 2008 form with a database created in Microsoft SQL Express 2005 using the Add New Data Source in the Data Sources window.The database has one table consisting of 2 columns.Column 1 being the primary key with Identity Specification set to On.The second column is a VarChar50.The DataGridView was placed on the form by dragging it from the Data Sources window thereby creating the Binding Navigator and the Private_Sub Form_Load code.I have added the code that should put the cursor where I want it.[code]

I have the below code that i am trying to have two datagrids with a grid splityter in the middle. The split seems to be working fine but the issue i am having is when I populate the datagrid it is growing in height and changing the splitter instead of leaving the height alone and adding scroll bars.
What simple thing am I overlooking?

I am working with vb.net 2010 SQL express 2008 and ReportViewer. I have created a form that a user can add, edit and delete data which is all stored in an SQL db. I am printing out reports for the user with ReportViewer. The issue I am encountering now is that at runtime if I make any changes and decided to view the changes via a report with ReportViewer, the change will not reflect. I have to close the program and open it up again so that I can view the changes. What do I have to do in order to view the changes view ReportViewer during runtime? This is my code:

I am new in VB 2005. I have problem loading data in report viewer, data loaded successfully but it is not the current data. I am entering production details into the database (access 2007) . It will add successfully. Then I open production report there is no current updated data. It will show when I close the vb 2005 and reopen it.
