I have a datagridview that holds about 10 columns worth of info. I want to be able to place each individual cell information into a different form, into textboxes when I click a button. How would I approach this?

I'm Making my own email reminder. When a button is clicked it will send info from three textboxes and one richtextbox.But when i get the email, the text arent with spaces between what is typed in the diffirent textboxes.
So etc. "NiceCoolGoBad"
"Nice" is textbox1.
"Cool" is textbox2.
"Go" is textbox3.
"Bad" is richtextbox1.
How can i make my own text between them?

i am currently working on a form that looks like this: When i click on any textboxes under Plan Code, the plan form will pop up. When i click on a field in lbType, field will appear in my lbCode. When i click on a field lbCode, i want to be able to insert information into the textboxes.
The problem i have is that i can only get the form to work for the first row of textboxes. Because my code looks like -

View 2 RepliesI am building a networking application with Visual Studio using the VB .NET programming language. I have multiple forms in this program but would like some advice or an example on how to proceed with one small issue I encountered. Let's say I have two forms: frmCalls and frmView. frmCalls has a Data Grid Viewer that is data bound to a MySQL Database. You can see specific columns and the values to those columns in the rows that the data grid viewer provides.
Now, what I want to do is when a row is selected on the Data Grid Viewer and the user clicks a button titled "More Info", I want the data grid viewer to interpret the data that the user would like to see more info on and place it in a form in frmView. For example: Columns: ID, Address, Time, Incident Nature, Date, etc...
When the user clicks the More Info Button, it should put all the information from the Data Grid Viewer in the appropriate text boxes in frmView. I also want it to input data that is not shown in the Data Grid View, but is located within the same ID or row in the database. I should add that the Data Grid Viewer is using a data bound source, table adapter, etc. Anyone have any suggestions for me on how to proceed? Or maybe some sample code if at all possible.
I have a form with multiple textboxes and I want the text from the text boxes to append to the current information I have in my dataGridView. How can I accomplish this? I have tried placing the text boxes information in a generic list but I can't achieve passing the list to my function...

Its seems as if it accepts the ","'s and " " for the address but ignores the vbCrLf line separator. What am I doing wrong: Here is the code for the class:

I'm fairly new to VB.NET but have been programming for a while. Anyway, for the life of me I can't figure out how to properly populate a datagridview in .NET. I am using VS 2010. I add the control to the form, click the arrow on the control and select "add project data source". From there, I select Database, then Dataset, choose and ODBC data source, the table I want to use and enter the data set name.

I am working on a project that allows the user to search the database for particular records, then passes the record that the user chooses to the main form to be manipulated or changed. Yes I am aware that I could let the user change the values in the datagridview, but I do not wish to do that this way. DataGridView inserting an extra row every time I populate with data. The row appears even if I only fill the column headers. This is causing problems when I try to get values of each cell. Is there a way to avoid this perhaps in properties?

This code fills a DataGridView with data from two tables in a dataset, one through data binding, and one through more manual means. The latter part runs, or more accurately, fails to run in the same way if I call this form in the same way subsequently but without stopping debugging.
