Make A Screen Recorder (not Screen Capture) Program
Aug 20, 2010I wanted to make a screen recorder (not screen capture) program, but I am not entirely sure how to get it started. I have seen many videos and things on how to make one, but all of these just take multiple pictures and then don't compile them into a movie file, and I don't want to take many pictures (unless that is the only way possible.) I am using Visual Basic 2010 Express and I have looked at the Windows Media Encoder, but I can't seem to figure out how to use/implement it (yes, I have downloaded and installed it.) Maybe I can use some kind of ActiveX control?

May 21, 2011I am working on a web project where content security is client's first priority. I need to create a windows app which will track if the user while visiting the website, is running any screen recorder. If he is, I need to log him out. I have knowledge on c#, vb.net. Nov 18, 2010making a screen recorder. make it take a screenshot 15-30 times a second, and for each shot there will be a text file that will say the location of the cursor when the shot was taken and what the cursor was, like loading or whatever. Then when the user presses save, it will take all the shots, import the cursor in each one and then create an AVI using each of the frames that were initially shot. Another better way would be to take a screenshot with the cursor in it, if thats possible.

May 19, 2009I was looking up how to make a screen recorder when I ran into a source code that uses Windows Media Encoder SDK. I tried it out and it crashes saying that Data Execution Protection stopped the program. So, I debugged the program and found that when it creates a new instance that this is the cause of the crash. Jan 6, 2012I want that my application will have a splash screen - thats easy. The problem is that I want to give the user the ability to disable the splash screen if he wants. If I set this in the application splash screen settings then there is a splash screen,but there is no way the user can disable it. If I do it without a real splash screen - with a timer that closes the form and opens the real main window - the application closes itself because of the setting "Shutdown application: When startup form closes".I just can't choose the second setting (when last window closes).

This works fine in XP. In Windows 7, it disables the screen saver properly. However, when it is enabled again, at the normal time for the screen saver to come on, the system asks for a password instead of showing the screen saver.From this time on until the screen saver settings are adjusted in the control panel, the password screen is displayed in place of the screen saver.Is there something else I should be doing for Windows 7? I understand that SPI_GETSCREENSAVEACTIVE is not supported in Windows 7, but SPI_SETSCREENSAVEACTIVE is supposed to be.

Apr 16, 2009I have created my own web browser by dragging the web browser control into a form using Visual Basic 2008 in order to host my ASP.Net pages. However, it is a requirement of the project I am working that users should not be able to use hot keys, especially print screen, ctrl P, ctrl C, and ctrl V. There are no other controls on my form, so how can stop users using these keys, but only in this browser? Further, my asp.net page uses an iframe tag to show a word document, and again, I need to stop them from copying and pasting from the word document into another word document through the browser. Can I stop them in my browser in app stack?

Oct 5, 2009I had a post about how to disable monitors, but someone suggested just making it not possible to leave the primary screen. This was obviously a good suggestion, but im not sure how i would accomplish this.
I need to prevent the user from entering the ctrl, alt, delete, escape, and windows key. I also need to prevent the mouse from leaving the primary screen.
My program is a security login system. It requires a username and password to close, and i want to make sure that it cannot close unless the user supplies the correct username and password.

I start either, a VB.Net or VBA procedure and within 30 seconds the Excel worksheet (previously displayed) blanks out. In both VB.Net and VBA,ScreenUpdating = False.
