When ever I draw a line in my vb.net script using
myGraphics.DrawLine(pen:=myPen, x1:=1, y1:=1, x2:=e.X, y2:=e.Y)
I want to know how I can make this line appear over a Panel, Label, and other stuff... like Bring to Front in a way.

Feb 26, 2010Iw ould like to know how to make it so every time you click on a button a different outcome can happen from the opens i gave the application.such as: when i click button 1.i will want it to either close the application or show a textbox but the outcome should be random out of the two.Like a dice if you get 1, 2, 3 the application will execute command "Me.close()" but if it rolls 4, 5, 6 it will execute the command "textbox1. show()"

Jul 26, 2010I'm wondering what the best way to render a scene made up of multiple-sized tiles, from back to front, with different heights. [code] Objects are sorted based on not their initial X/Y value, but their X/Y+Height value. That way, objects are rendered based on where they 'touch' the playing field. E.g., X/Y = top of a tree object, X/Y = trunk of the tree object.People (including the player) will be just normal map objects that get rendered and updated within a huge sorted list every frame. Right now, fudging around with my code allows my Player (32x64 pixels) to stand infront of a building but has her feet get overlapped with a patch of grass, which doesn't work. However, changing the sorting algorithm makes the player disappear in the building but you can see her feet.Also, should my players be included with the list of map objects? Granted, these will only be graphical representations of their data stored elsewhere (won't be cleared when map changes), or should I throw them into a whole new rendering list (which might open whole new problems). url...From what he says, he has 4 different layers and then draws the actor between Layer 3 and 4, with layer 4 being objects that will always appear on-top of the person.So, it appears that his player isn't a map object but an actor rendered separately from everything else.

Application That Has Multiple Front Ends Developed Using Windows Forms / WPF / ASP / Compact Framework Mobile Forms
Apr 9, 2010I have the requirement to create an application that has multiple front ends developed using Windows Forms, WPF, ASP and Compact Framework Mobile Forms.I would like to be able to create a series of obejct representing the business logic and have this logic accessible from the various front ends available. My first thought was to use remoting as I'd like to be able to pass the business objects back and forth between client and server but the compact framework doesn't support remoting and also transferring a full framework business object to a compact framework business object doesn't seem possible.My next thought was to use web services but again the passing of business objects seems to be very hard to accomplish. Without doing this I would have to create individual web methods for each business operation.
Finally my next option is to use sockets and write the whole client/server logic within some classes and expose them to the UI/Business layer. My only problem with this is it is not scaleable should the number of clients increase dramatically whereas using remoting or web services I can host the solution via ASP.Net.Does anybody have an ideas on the best way forward for this or even have any input on how they would write an application that required a windows form, wpf, asp website and mobile device GUI all of which want to use the same business logic?

Jun 7, 2010I am having an Activex Application (dll) which contains a third party control ie a Chart Control, as well as a Windows Application(.EXE). I am using that dll project in my exe application in order to populate the Activex user Control. If i double-click on the Activex Control, how can i pass an event handler from this dll Project to Windows application? If this event gets worked successfully, i have to load a screen from that windows application.
When the user clicks on the Activex Control, ie the Chart Control, is there any way to send a event handler from dll project to Windows Application?

This works fine however, I either need the messagebox or a form to come to the front of all open windows on the system to inform the user that the selected customer needs to be reviewed.
