Implement Search Functionality For Many Properties?

I was asked to develop a simple application to handle car inventory. Each car has a LOT of properties (about 130, like license plate number, type, was it serviced, etc.). Some of these properties are represented by bit data type in a database some are varchar.
The problem is that I need to provide search functionality for any of all these properties and any combination of them. This results in a search form with about 130 controls. I certainly do not want to put the SQL query together manually by checking the state of each and every control. To propagate the problem further I need to be able to search for partial strings as well (i.e. if the user enters "porsc" into the car brand field then all Porsches should be found).
I want to implement a VIN decoder functionality in my website, where user will input the VIN number to get Vehicle information like, YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, BODY STYLE and etc.
I'm trying to implement printing functionality into a simple program for my company. It's not necessary, but it would be a nice finishing touch for everyone. And really, in practice, my printing feature works. My problem is that each line is printed on a separate page of paper and I can't find a way to just like, print a page.
It doesn't have to be fancy. I know that I won't need word wrap, nor will anyone ever print more than one page. Here's my ginked & modified code thus far:

I am developing an application wherein I need a functionality similar to the outlook email address.
In outlook, we are able to enter multiple email addresses in "To" address box. When typing first few chars of an email, the AutoComplete functionality displays the list of possible email addresses. Either we can select from the list or we can continue typing. As and when we type email addresses, the AutoComplete functionality shows the list of possible email addresses for every email address that we type in the textbox (if anything is there). I am trying to implement this functionality in my application

I know that the AutoComplete is only for one word and not for multiple.
But How to implement the AutoComplete functionality for multiple word in a textbox?
How i can select a single cell from selected row in datagridView and after selecting that i want to put simple search functionality(like we have in our windows folders-typing any characters and search should work)

From what I can understand, the two properties above provide a way to access the FileExtension collection either using an integer or a string index. My problem is that I do not know how to convert this in VB.
I am declaring an IList: Dim OrigVendors as IList OrigVendors = new List( of IVendors) I populate the OrigVendors variable and what I want to do is find all the objects that have the ID I am looking for. Then I need to update a property on that object for only the ones found. Is this do able with an IList or do I need to use some other type of collection? I am using VB.net.
I'm trying to implement a search on a richtextbox. i want the scroll to move to the found area only if that area is out of the visible part of the text.

The C# interface I'm working from defines properties and events (IsPostBack, Load) that are already implemented by the base control.However, VB.NET is forcing me to explicitly implement these properties/events in the user control (Public Property IsPostBack() As Boolean Implements IView.IsPostBack...). I'd like to just define these in the interface and not have to do anything special in the code-behind of the implementing user control.I'm assuming that I can do this in VB.NET, I just don't know how. I've spent all sorts of time googling/bing-ing, and haven't come up with the answer.
I'm writing a social networking application in VB.NET, with a target userbase of 1-2 million users. All user data will be in memory in a dictionary of 'User' objects with properties such as Country, Region, Age etc exposed. I need to perform search against multiple user properties in memory - I'm not using SQL.What's the most performant way to implement a 'user search' against multiple properties?
In my form, I have textbox + combobox to enter datas which are saved to ms access. I have search option too. Also i have DataGrid to show the result of the search. What I want now is, 1. To show the search result in the textbox/combox as well (I already am able to make the result show on datagrid)2. When there are multiple result showing on DataGrid, if i click on a particular result on DataGrid, let the textbox/combobox automatically loads the details of the one i clicked.

I have a combo box on my application (working with VB.net) called CmbAttendantstatus. I have sent the dropdownstyle = dropdownlist at the Properties level of the combobox.
There are 200 field types e.g; Current Attendant Ever Attendant Never Attendant etc
The issue is I can only select one from the list, fine, but I want to be able to type the first letter on the combobox and it takes me to the nearest field type rather than looking through the entire drop list. For example I want Never Attendant, I just need to type N and the drop list takes me to anything starting from N and if I add E for example any field starting with NE shows up for selection. Presently, when the dropdownlist is selected you are not allowed to type anything...
I am creating a Calender application using the monthly calender control.I am trying to implement a search for the calendar so a date can be entered into a text box which intern moves the calender to show the date entered. I have been try to figure this out with no luck, is it even possible to do?
I'm making a control and I am trying to finalize my design time properties grid. I have several List(of Class) items as public properties and when I click on the design time menu (while testing the control) there is the word "Collection" and a button with an ellipsis (...) that brings up a neat pop up with the buttons Add/remove and all of the public properties of the collection's class on the right hand side. Basically for a non-collection instance of a class (with public properties) I'd like a similar button to show up. I know I could put all of the properties in the main control class and group them, but I like the pop up box feature. Anyway to duplicate this? (think font grid item etc.)
In the form design I set up a TableLayoutPanel, 20x20 cells and in cell (1,1) a PictureBox (called Target) containing the image of a small target. The properties box for Target shows some very promising properties, Column and Row - and if you overwrite the values in the properties box, the PictureBox obligingly shifts to the corresponding cell position in th design. However in VB it is not possible to refer to Me.Target.Row or .Column - neither appears during coding in the menu of properties, and deliberately coding either of them produces an error like
Error 1 'row' is not a member of 'System.Windows.Forms.PictureBox'.
1. Why does the properties box show properties that cannot be altered programmatically?
2. How can my program move Target around in the TableLayoutPanel?
I'm working on a Hazardous Materials label printing program. One of the options is to do an "NFPA" label. Since there are 4 values required with 4 or 6 options, the ratings are entered via radio buttons in a group box. That's working okay. I display values in the NFPA diamond as they're entered: left quadrant blue, top quadrant red, left yellow, bottom red. I'm having trouble with the label in which the rating will be displayed on top of a jpg diamond for the white. In this quadrant the text can be up to 4 characters. I can accept the text going into an adjacent block a little, but the corners of the label overlap into another quadrant/color. I reduced the font size which solved the overlap problem but the font is then too small and looks terrible. I tried to make the background of the label transparent to let the color come through correctly but that's not a valid value for label.background. I'm figuring that the transparent background is the best solution. What can I use that will accept a transparent background so the color shows through?

I have a form with nearly 20 Textbox and 5 Combobox and one control in dependent on the other,Now I want to write the code for the form in such a way that, Pressing Enter Key and Tab Key should have the same functionality.Like on pressing Tab Key the focus moves to next control should also be performed when I press the Enter Key.Similarly when I press the Enter Key, there is some process code written in key press event but this should also be performed when I press the Tab Key.
I'm a complete noob to VB.NET and have just made a tic-tac-to game and want to make it multiplayer over the the internet with direct conection via IP address (like CFS3 and the like).
The only thing is I have never used the this before and have searched loads on google and on this site, I just can't seem to find anything that I can understand so if anyone can help me out with where to start getting two machines talking, I have used the WINSOCK tool in VB6 before but didn't really understand it.
I have used sockets in VB6 before but cannot get the same functionality to work in VB.net. I have two machines running VB code and I want the applications to exchange information via a network connection. Using VB6 and socks it was easy but I just can't figure it out in VB.net.The data exchanged are string messages; there is no interaction between users it's just the applications exchanging info. The one machine will always be the server and is running a windows forms application which I'm writing in vb.net (it's actually a satellite antenna controller) the other machine is connected by an Ethernet connection (private network these are the only two devices) and is also running a windows forms application which I'm writing in VB.net (this is the remote controller for the satellite antenna controller) Can someone give me a pointer to some simple code that opens a connection and I can read and write between the two (both ways) using string messages. I' am assuming sockets are the right way to go? Everything I research keeps coming up with console applications
