Added some controls. Build it, add the .DLL as reference to my other project.
In my other project:
Imports MyLib
Public Class XForm
Inherits aaMyForm
The events from aaMyForm execute correctly but the controls added to it are not shown on XForm. I have found some info about set Modifiers Protected in order to be able to change the functionality of the controls but havent found anything about why the controls aren display on the XForm.

I am trying to make a small control that has a picturebox and a few labels that can be dragged on the form it is placed on. The control was easy, and I can drag it fine when the mouse is down on the control, where there are no other controls, like not over the picturebox or labels.
When i try to click and drag the user-control and the mouse is on the picture box or labels of the control the mouse down event is not detected. I am hoping someone can tell me how to pass the mouse-down event from the controls on the user-control so the form I place it on detects the mouse down even no matter where on the control i click.

When I add or modify controls on the form the graphics are redrawn many times over.The more graphics that are drawn the slower the machine gets.

Problem that you may have when dealing with two objects that are raising some events. Here, to make it obvious, I am closing the form, but the problem can be experienced with any other 2 classes event. First, what is the problem !
Let suppose that by pressing a button, you want to raise a custom event, then execute a method and then close the form

I added to images (.png) to my resource folder. When I am coding, only the first image is showing in the intellisense.
Example:
PictureBox1.Image = My.Resource.Picture1
I cannot get it to show me: My.Resources.Picture2 even though picture2 is in the resource folder.

I found this mystifying in VB6 and it's still here...
For example - I have a combobox on a form and I have put some code in its SelectedIndexChanged event. The problem is that I want this code to be executed *only* when the user clicks on an item in the combobox dropdown. Why is it then that it gets executed when the form first loads? And how do I stop this happening?
I used to use a "FormLoading" boolean to decide whether or not the code was executed but this surely shouldn't be necessary. Is there a better way?

i created a sales form and it is using currency also the project is working greatthe thing is when the form loads everything works great shows the decimal and dollar sign's for the first customer but when i click on the navigator for the next customer there is no decimal and dollar sign's how can i inherit the same controls to the next customer.

Is this possible? Must be surely but I've tried and come up short. I've created a very basic class (person) with 2 public properties, forename, surname. My user control is databound to this class and has 2 textboxes to store the properties.
I've built the control and can add the user control to a windows form but how can I add to a new user control (Staff) which will show my 2 existing textboxes and I can add dateJoined datepicker also??

How do I turn off the ability for controls within a groupbox to inherit the groupbox properties. For example, my groupbox text has a fontsize of 9 and bold. Every Label control that I put into the groupbox defaults to the same. How can I change that?

I have a "MenuService", which uses an "MenuRepository".When the MenuService is created, it loads correctly with the MenuRepository.Then it wants to save it in the UnityControllerFactory, but the MenuRepository in the MenuService is Nothing then (it wasn't before).Some additional info:I'm using the Unity and Repository pattern.The problem happens with a partial view (for a menu), which i have included in the "HomeController", it could be relevant information, so i included this, just in case:

It was working fine until I changed it to connect to an ftp sever, added NetworkCredentials and said connect, downloads fine but does not trigger the events like its supposed to. i have created a batch file and have added it to the project using add items. Basically what i am aiming at is to execute this file on a button click action. I am using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("hello.bat") command to run this file i have changed the build action to resource for this batch file. But when i run this program, it is not able to locate the batch file. I am required to give a relative path as the path my vary from machine to machine. how can i make this file accessable using a relative path?

I am trying to create a program, where the user click a button and this will add a custom control and then drag and drop them on the form.
What I want to be able to do is add multiple controls (by clicking this button) and for them all to have the same events. So basically they can add as many as they like of this control and then click on it and drag it anywhere.I know in vb6 there was the use of the control index but I am not sure how to do this in Visual Studio 2005?

I have a form that I inherit from.This form has some event actions like "load".Is there away to get the inherit child form to run that event on itself instead of the parent form.For example if I have frmTemplate.Load and frmChild.Load. The actions inside of frmTemplate.Load should be ran on frmChild changing any references to frmTemplate to frmChild.

I have made a form that consists of textboxes nested in groupboxes nested in tabpages. I have to create a new project and in that project I have to create a inherited form from an older project. When I choose an inherited form, it says that I only can choose a dll file. But in my older project there is only an exe file. In all subfolders I cannot find a dll file. Can anyone help me to create a dll file for the older project so I can inherit that file in the new project.

I understand the page lifecycle and how i need to add the dynamic controls on page_init if I want to take advantage of viewstate. Also I know that I should try to avoid dynamic controls when possible. The dynamic controls are created depending on an object that is created from custom event arguments sent from a custom treeview. Problem is I need viewstate so I need to create them in page_init but I don't have the event args to create the object that tell me what controls to add until later in the lifecycle.
