Apr 30, 2009I have managed to get it to write a string to a textfile if the listviews checkbox is checked but i can not get it to write a particular string if it is unchecked.

How do i Iterate an unchecked item as the library doesn't have .UnCheckItems?
If its checked i need to add "true" to the string and if its unchecked i need to add "false" to a string that gets written to a textfile.

Checking If Radio Buttons Checked?
Apr 5, 2010Is there a way to check whether or not the radio buttons within a group box have been checked? I have been able to check if one radio button is checked, but I would like to know if I can check for both within the same if statement, or if I would have to write a new one for the second radio button. Or can I just use the groupbox and check for selected radio buttons from that?

Checking Which CheckBox Is Checked With Loop?
May 11, 2012What would be the syntax to check inside a visual basic form panel for checkboxes and find which are checked? I understand how I Could use a for loop and an if statement, but I'm confused as to the syntax to check for each checkbox. for example:

Mar 29, 2010How do I make an if statement that would check if the user has selected an option from the select list named cboGrade and also to check if the user has selected a radio button from the group named gbCalcType? I have an action that is carried out when a button is clicked, but before that action is carried out, I need to check the above.

This checks that one of the radio buttons are selected. How do i check that an option is selected from the option list? There are three options: 3rd, 4th, and 5th. And the text starts out saying Select One and it locks the control once they choose one.

Checking Treeview Nodes - If Parent Is Checked Check All Child Nodes
Aug 31, 2011I'm all new to this treeview business. I have a fixed treeview, very simple and basic. Only two levels, parent and child nodes. I just need two things out of this treeview.
1) If parent is checked, check all child nodes.
2) If just one child node is unchecked, uncheck parent node.
That's it! I've been looking for this for 30 mins and I cant find it. Maybe because my vb.net is old, it doesnt seem to be the same as others =/ I'm using vb.net 2003.

Jan 14, 2011I am trying to create a form that will update a database of school tests with checkboxs.Basically, i have a textbox for a student id, a combobox with the subjects in it, and a datagridview with the tests of the selected subject.(There are about ten subects with about ten tests each).What i want to happen is when you put in an id number, it should bring up all the tests the student passed in each subject in the datagridview. So when you select a subject it will load the datagridview with the tests (in a checkbox format) (with the tests he already passed checked) so you can click and add tests and then save it to the db.

However the AndAlso should short circuit in the case where the item is not a ToolStripMenuItem and it doesn't seem to be doing so (as TypeOf xItem Is ToolStripMenuItem=false in this case)?

Feb 20, 2010project im working on for my course,the idea is a photo printing machine that loads up 4 images if usb stick is checked and a different 4 if memory card is checked. and then whatever image is selected appears in the big picturebox on the left [URL] i have 2 print size options set as radiobuttons, radiobutton 1 = 6x4, which costs 25cent per photo, radiobutton 2 = 8x10, and is 50cent per photo.i also have a textbox which will display the number of copies to be printed So here's my dilemma, when the print button is selected alongside one of the radiobuttons i want it to display a message saying something like this "you have selected (whatever the amount of copies)of this photo sized 6x4, or 8x10 depending on which radiobutton is selected, and i want it to display the total cost which is the number of copies multiplied by the rate for the print size selected, then an option saying "Do you wish to proceed" Yes or No.

Got A Checked Listbox On Form Which Saves The Checked Items?
Jun 6, 2012I've got a checked listbox on my form which saves the checked items to a spot in my database on the .ItemCheck event.But there's a problem, when I begin checking items, I check the box and click off it, but it doesn't save. (This is if I've only chosen one item)
If I choose two or more items it will save, but unchecking them takes a lot of clicking around to figure it out.Is there a better event that I can use? I've tried the SelectedIndexChanged and that has the same result, there's a lot of clicking around in the checkboxes to end up with the desired selected items, and it does not allow a single item.

EDIT: More specifically. The CheckState.Checked is always the opposite. .Checked means it's not checked.
