Added To Each UserControl (different Instances Of The Same Class), A Little Map?
Apr 28, 2009I have a form whose purpose is to let the user to load map files.The form may manage a variable classes of maps, and each class have his own UserControl.To make it more user friendly, I added to each UserControl (different instances of the same class), a little map, showing a small picture of the map, and some data, as bound coordinates.
The problem is, that it looks really ugly. The maps are so big, compared with the rest of the UserControl (who contains just a button and a textbox to search for files).I wish to fix it, but I din not see an elegant way to include the pictures and info.I attach a form screen capture with two UserControl.I would like to get some tips for more experienced users. There are some guidelines?
Using ViewState With Dynamically Added Usercontrol
Sep 19, 2011On my webpage I am loading multiple instances of a usercontrol, sometimes the usercontrol is laoded within itself. I need to save a bunch of properties for the round trip of a post back but i am confused on how to save those properties to ViewState and set them again to the repeater items within the usercontrol. have read the MSDN on Viewstate but I am not understanding it quite well for some reason..[code]

(1) Create a System.Windows.Forms.UserControl and add a button to the bottom-right hand corner. Leave the button anchor as default (top-left). Add some more buttons dotted around so that you can see that they scale correctly.
(2) Add the UserControl to a form in the construtor, after the InitializeComponent call.
(3) Run the form.
(4) Increase the form font size some way (eg click a form button).
All the controls within the usercontrol scale perfectly but the usercontrol itself doesn't. It's width and height are increased by way too much. Look at the margin now between the button at the bottom-right hand corner and the usercontrol.To correct the problem, the usercontrol must be added before the InitializeComponent call.If it wasn't possible for me to add the usercontrol before InitializeComponent, is there any way for me to correct the scaling?
User Conrol Mouse Events From Controls Added To The Usercontrol?
Dec 7, 2009I am trying to make a small control that has a picturebox and a few labels that can be dragged on the form it is placed on. The control was easy, and I can drag it fine when the mouse is down on the control, where there are no other controls, like not over the picturebox or labels.
When i try to click and drag the user-control and the mouse is on the picture box or labels of the control the mouse down event is not detected. I am hoping someone can tell me how to pass the mouse-down event from the controls on the user-control so the form I place it on detects the mouse down even no matter where on the control i click.

May 10, 2010I have code to create a listbox and populate it, and would like the box to behave like it does when clicked, e.g. if you CLICK on "a" you see it blue and can press the down arrow to move down to "b". how do I achieve this programmatically?

WPF - Usercontrol As ListItemTemplate Not Filling Listbox Width
Apr 11, 2011Just trying to get my head round WPF. I have a usercontrol which I'm using as the template for items in a listbox, however no matter what I try the usercontrol's width is always shrinking to the minimum size but I want it to fill the available width. I've found a similar query on here but it was relating just to a usercontrol not within a listbox and the solution proposed doesn't apply here.
My UserControl is defined as :

May 25, 2010I have a form that users record some event that is happening. They enter in what different things are occurring, for instance like a Basketball game. When certain events happen "steal", "score", "foul" these will get inputted to a listbox that records the whole game and is timestamped. However for these specific event i want them BOLD . So it would look something like

Or something like that. How do i get certain items to be bold?

Jan 14, 2009i am using visual studio 2005.I have a few questions about listbox and openfiledialog, hoping to have some answers.I am creating a picture viewer, and so in my listbox I have put 3 defaults pictures, say namely 'X', 'Y', and 'Z'.Then there is this Insert button that allows user to insert new picture and added into the listbox.So here comes the questions:1. In the Insert button code below, I have made it such that whenever a picture is insert, it will displays out the picture in the picturebox and its name in the listbox. So how do I make the listbox to move its highlight to the newly insert picture?

ListBox Show Latest Item Added?
Jan 17, 2008I have a ListBox that is only about 4 lines high. After I add more than 4 Items, it attaches them to the bottom of the list outside of the viewable area with out scrolling. Is there any way to either add items to the top of the list or make the latest item visible? I want to keep all the items in the list in the order they were added whether it is oldest to newest or newest to oldest.

I want to know how to update that listbox as i enter new product into the database so that user can see the current content of the product table.

To sum it up, what i want is something that will refresh the current display of the listbox so user can see the actual and updated contents of the database.
with the above code, the newly entered product/data can only be seen when the program is closed and reopened again. Which is not very convenient.
OpenFileDialog : Selecting More Than One File To Be Added To A ListBox?
Feb 6, 2010I currently know how to click a button on the application and when I click it, it invokes the OpenFileDialog Event or Object. After It Opens the Open File Dialog, I am able to select only ONE file from a location on my computer. After I click that Single File on my computer, I press the Okay or Open Button on the Open File Dialog, and then it adds that items to my list Box, knows as PlayList_00 and PlayList_01.
Here's what I got so far.

May 24, 2012I have a form with two web browsers. I have webbrowser1 navigate to a parent url and webrowser2 navigate to child url.
The page in webbrowser2 loads correctly but when I make a change to an element it doesn't also change the value in webbrowser1 as it should.
Should I be looking at cookies or something else?

Mar 15, 2010I have a folder with a whole lot of music in it (*.mp3 files.). Now on my form I can play these songs in playlists, and other extra's. But now what I want to finish it, is to create a search function. Here is a picture of my Form. And what I want to add is a Listbox, TextBox and a button.
When I type: "Eye of the Tiger" in the Textbox and click the Button, All *.mp3 files in my folder, and the subfolders, with "Eye of the Tiger" in it, are added to the Listbox (The full name, like: "Survivor - Eye of the Tiger") will show at the Listbox. How can I do this, in an easy way, if possible.

I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. When the panel is scrolled (viewing the bottom of the panel for example) and a control is added, it looks like it is added assuming the top left corner of the panel is still at 0,0 when in fact it may be 0,500. Jul 11, 2011I have a Windows Form that contains a custom control container as a UserControl. For the sake of this question, this custom control container is called Dashboard. This container called Dashboard contains numerous other controls depending on their permissions. I need to raise events that are contained on these controls through the Dashboard control and over to the Windows Form.
How can I bubble up the event? I'm using VB.NET for this project, but can convert C# into VB.NET.Also, to complicate matters, the main Windows Form is a VB6 project. So, I'm using the InteropFormsToolkit to accomplish this.

Jan 19, 2011I have two UserControls on a MasterPage. DataEntryUC contains several TextBoxes and DropDownList. NavSaveUC contains navigation buttons. When the user clicks on a navigation button, I will be saving the data entered into DataEntryUC from the NavSaveUC UserControl.
I have a couple of tables in my DB that contain stored procedure names, control names, control types, SqlDbTypes, etc.... that correlate with DataEntryUC.
How do I reference a text box that is on DataEntryUC from NavSaveUC?

Setting Usercontrol Properties Within A Usercontrol
Mar 22, 2012I have a usercontrol that has a main form and calls another form within the usercontrol to get some data from a database that allows the user to select some items from a CheckedListBox control on the sub form. I want to pass the selected items from the CheckedListBox back to the main form and display the results there. I have a public property called DBList of type List(of String) on the main user control. If I create a reference to the usercontrol form the second form within the usercontrol I get a new instance of a user control. All I want to do is set the property on the usercontrol and close the secondary form. How do I reference the usercontrol from the form within the usercontrol?
