I want to make a program that can get data on a web page such as game stats. The data is already on the web page, and it is readable, I need to know how how to make the labels on program sa the words or numbers on page. I know a little about html and what not so if it has to do with html than I should be able to do it.

Whenever i start my form (window application) and link from one form to another, my data doesn't load but when i close the respective form and open it again , it appear. Can i know where is my problem ? Thx in advance. Here's the code snippet :

I have a data grid view on a FrmItem Form, data grid fill with table item master and item master have 1 lack item. when user click on item text box then FrmItem Form call and when user choose any item then FrmItem form close and it return item code.The problem is every time when user press any key on Item text box, Frmitem load 1 lack item which takes a lot of time around 10 second.So i want Data grid fill when i start application and use that Data grid on the Frmitem form.data grid is already loaded and its not take more time. may be its show with in seconds.

I just discovered the joys of UserControl's and I was wondering if it is possible to populate the usercontrol with data from a database in the UserControl's Form.Load event instead of the form the userControl is placed on. I feel it would make using the control a lot easier if it just populated itself without anymore code.I tried it with a ListView but it gave me a bunch of errors, so I didn't know if it had to be done a certain way or if it was just one of those things that doesn't work no matter what.

View 6 RepliesMy code is working fine I just need a way to reset the DataAdapter1 into 0 (like reset) So if the user hit the button search 2 times to shows up only 1 time the elements of database "product".. If i used the code below and hit 2 times the button the DataGridView show 10 product for examplat the first time and +10 for the second, a total of 20 products, even if I search then edit a product and search again it's fixed the previous table and prints again 2 times the table....

I would like it to populate the list box when the form is loaded, but if I have to use a button to tell it to load that is fine also.On the same form I have 4 textboxes that ask for each of the above items (name, DOB, Level, PH#) and a button that when pushed I want it to save it to the same file where the above info was pulled from in the same format.The Show Contacts button doesn't have to be used if it is not needed.

I have problems with a form and load event.My form manage items that can be added, deleted or modified. In load code, I initialize all vars to cero. This is OK to be ready to add items.
My problem is with modify and delete. To carry this, I must load vars from a source. So, in my foreing code I have this:

My problem is that when showdialog is called, all data which were loaded from duplicar funct is put again to cero. How can I avoid this and load correct data into the form.

I am trying to write another one using the same database but I get the error "Unable to load data". I can't find anything I've done differently with this application. I can connect to the database in the development window and see the data by using the View/Server Explorer and show table data.
View 3 RepliesWhat I am "trying" to do is to take a combo box control on my form, and load it up with data from an access db, but I dont want them to be linked so that when I change the combo box to another value it will cahnge record data. From the pics attached I have manage to load the data into the combo box, but the 2 are linked and when I try to change the combo box it creates violations in the database as its trying to change the records.

im having a issue where not all the data from my dgv is being loaded into text boxes on a 2nd form. What im doing is using the "DataGridView1.CellDoubleClick" event to open another form and pass the selected row into seperate columns, this works great but as i added more columns to the DGV it seems that the form is loading and not all the data is loading into the text boxes. Is there a way to halt the opening of the 2nd form until the loading is complete? i tried to simple "sleep" at the end right before the form is made visible but that didnt work. heres the code im using to load the DGV into text boxes, there are 16 columns, this is just the first one:
