Load The Data From The Db And Display In The Dgv?

This is the first time i am using an DGV and also an DB.I have written some code,but i am not sure whether it is the correct way of doing.Basically i want to load the data from the db and display in the dgv. I only want to display the data , manipulation of this data is done using other form.I am setting the columns manually because i want to use the same dgv for multiple purpose

I want a rich text box to display public variables like (pizza toppings links etc that have been selected in other forms) these variables have declare in a module. But I want the rich text box to display these variables as soon as the screen loads ( a on form load event) if you know what I mean.

In trying to test some graphic features, I am trying to get them to display on load so button doesn't have to be pressed. I used the following code as suggested from forum. Message boxes run but ellipses aren't displayed until button is clicked which is what I am trying to avoid!

Whenever i start my form (window application) and link from one form to another, my data doesn't load but when i close the respective form and open it again , it appear. Can i know where is my problem ? Thx in advance. Here's the code snippet :

I have an app where there's an edit form and it loads a bunch of stuff into comboboxes which takes half a minute to load the first time. Once it's loaded I keep the instance of the form and just hide it instead of disposing it until the app exits. What I would like to do is in the Sub Main of the app (there is no startup form) I would like to launch a new thread and load that form into memory, but I don't want the form to be displayed at that time, what's the best way to do this?

I am working on a small program which will check a web server if an update exists for a program. I am having it display to the user if it has a confirmed connection to the web (by pinging the website), and let them know if there are any updates available...
When it pings the web server, if the ping returns true, I'd like it to output "Confirmed Connection" before continuing executing the program. Is there a way I could do this..? I've tried numerous different things so far but it loads everything and displays everything all at once...I included a printscreen of what I'm trying to do.. I also pasted my code in. Ignore my sloppy name defining for the textboxes and such. I just made this up as a test until I get this figured out..

I'm not sure where to start. I've made an app consisting of a textbox and picture box that changes the picture every time you press a key. But what I need is to load a txt file and have pictures display one after another for each letter at a user defined rate. Including breaking this down into smaller steps. This is for an application simular to a RSVP(rapid serial visual presentation) program.

I want to pre-load a number of images from the web, so that I can display them in a form, and scroll through them without delay. It can be a large number, but i only need to pre-load perhaps 20, and then remove/add in advance, as I scroll through. The images will typically be .GIF or .PNG, of quite small size, <50kb. The link for any single image will look something like this: [URL]..and I will keep a list of all the links I need to access.
What "type" shall I use to store these images? And how do I make web requests to put the data into this type? I guess it will be more convenient to keep this as in-code list of some memorystream type (?) instead of saving them to disk and having to deal with file names and stuff..? Also, what type of control shall I use to display such images? Do I use a PictureBox?And if a memorystream is indeed the best choice, how do I make this show in the picturebox?

I am building a form that will load individual items(from individual files) or a catalog of items(from a list of items). I then click the item I want to use to select it. Everything works correctly, when I click an item it selects the correct stitch. The only problem is, it doesn't display correctly when I load from a catalog. I can open individual items and it works fine. When I load a catalog it doesn't display the images correctly.

I have a data grid view on a FrmItem Form, data grid fill with table item master and item master have 1 lack item. when user click on item text box then FrmItem Form call and when user choose any item then FrmItem form close and it return item code.The problem is every time when user press any key on Item text box, Frmitem load 1 lack item which takes a lot of time around 10 second.So i want Data grid fill when i start application and use that Data grid on the Frmitem form.data grid is already loaded and its not take more time. may be its show with in seconds.

Okay I'm making a song organizer and I have a program that will load the files in a folder into a box and display the songs info into a list view. That part works fine but when you click the button to make it do anything it will get the variables that it need from the tags on the cells for each song but for some reason the one for the Album just disappears... I tried having it just show the value in a message box and it works fine. Just when I try to combine it with another variable then it wont show at all. Heres my code
