Loading A Jpg File Into A PictureBox Directly From An Access DataBase Field In VB2010

I am trying to 1) write code in VB2010 that will get a JPG image from a Access Database field and write the image to a PictureBox 2) write code which will write a JPG file to an Access Database field. I have already sucessfully coded this in VB6, without fully understanding what I was doing.
Browsing the various forum's I have come across a few discussions on this subject, but due to my complete amerture status I don't seem to be able to follow the logic.

Is it possible to load an *.ico file onto a PictureBox ? I know I can use : PictureBox1.Image = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile("C:MyImage.jpg") but I'd like to use an icon . I am writing an app in VB2010. My code parses a text file, assigns data to variables My??, and then attempts to store this data in an access 2010 (actually access 2007 format) table. I am trying to deploy a VB2010 programme that uses the 2010 Access Database Engine. The programme falls over when starting, with an error trying to access the Database. If I Install the programme on a machine that has Office 2003 installed - still installing the 2010 Database Engine - then it runs OK.Does the Database Engine work?

I have a database that I would like to filter characters from anywhere in the field. Example the letter A is typed into textbox1 and in the grid every field that contains an A is show. Problem 2: Why does an additional field from my access database disappear even after I manually created the field?? (access database 2003 version, extension is .mdb) I'm using visual studio 2008

I have found the ALTER TABLE statement, but it gives me an error (ALTER TABLE is not a valid statement)
I done this in php+mysql with "ALTER TABLE People ADD Address TEXT NULL AFTER Name" (as an example)
