Error Writing To An Access 2010 Database Using VB2010

I am writing an app in VB2010. My code parses a text file, assigns data to variables My??, and then attempts to store this data in an access 2010 (actually access 2007 format) table. Yet, whenever my code gets to MyRow.Item("Artist") = MyArtist I get an error 5 'Artist' does not belong to Table MyTable, but the field/column does exist in the table as do all the others.

I finished my application whith vb2010, this application uses a Access database. I am trying to deploy a VB2010 programme that uses the 2010 Access Database Engine. The programme falls over when starting, with an error trying to access the Database. If I Install the programme on a machine that has Office 2003 installed - still installing the 2010 Database Engine - then it runs OK.Does the Database Engine work?

I am trying to 1) write code in VB2010 that will get a JPG image from a Access Database field and write the image to a PictureBox 2) write code which will write a JPG file to an Access Database field. I have already sucessfully coded this in VB6, without fully understanding what I was doing.
Browsing the various forum's I have come across a few discussions on this subject, but due to my complete amerture status I don't seem to be able to follow the logic.

What i've written opens an Access database and one can read and write into it (on a table called Journal)It does indeed work for newly made Access files. However it doesnt work with a specific Microsoft Access database (again .mdb) which was made with a very old Access, like Access 2000 or something.The error message is: Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.Inside the zipped file below you will find the source code of the program, along with an access file that the program CAN read, and the one access file that i NEED the program to reed but it cannot!
To see what i mean run the program one, try to add a new line to the database. you get an error!now rename the Journal.mdb to "journal.bak.mdb. And the journal_working.mdb to Journal.mdb try to add a new line to the database again without altering the source code at all. it succeeds now!!
NOTE: the program can READ data from both files. but it CANT write data to the old access file

I'm having an issue trying to get a wage calculator to recognize an overtime formula. The calculator has to have the overall function of figuring the gross pay, Federal Tax Withheld (15%), and the net pay based on the hourly wage and hours worked for the week. The issue I am having is the wage * 1.5 entry (underlined) where it sates it is not an array or a method and cannot have an argument list. I have searched all over the forums and not found an answer to my question. My question is how do i write to an access database at runtime. The database is also created at runtime. I have a dataset loaded with a table that i needs to be written to the database. how would i write each row of my dataset to my database? I have a problem writing dates from VB2010 into SQL2008.
I am forming DateofBirth from Comboboxes using DateSerial, so far so good.
DateOfBirth=DateSerial(DobYear, DobMonth, DobDay)
MsgBox(DateofBirth) displays the date as DD/MM/YYYY, as I would expect in the UK.
But, SQL is expecting the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. When the DD is below 12 the variable writes in the database, albeit with DD and MM the wrong way round. As soon as DD goes above 12, the program halts with an SQLException, obviously because SQL knows that MM can't be higher than 12.
I am going round in circles trying to work out the method to ensure that the date variable in the SQL INSERT statement is in the right format.

I am trying to import data from an access database to a access database that my project uses I am having problems with combo box fields in the database with the data. I want to import what is displayed instead of the numerical key value. Example: The combo box displays employee names but the value stored is the key value from the employee table so instead of importing John Doe it imports 2 is there a way to make the actual name instead of the number?

the fields in the tables are all text fields.is there any way to fix this error? perhaps it is in my query but i really cant find a solution.is there an alternative to get what i want my program to do?it is basically entering an ID number and finding the record with the same idnumber and putting the system time on the timein field for that record.

it's just for a program registration. i would store all of the registration codes in the access database, then export it to XML, then upload it to my web host. I would then somehow connect it to my Visual Basics login form (Which I have already made). If this can't be done, having them register through the form and having all the allowed codes on the internet (So i can easily edit them)!

I'm writing an application where when you click the "load database" button, it opens up a dialogbox where you have to go and open the database.txt which has a bunch of questions/answers.I want to make it so that after the user does that, the button disappears. I have a DLL that I made in FORTRAN to do some number crunching. It works in VB6 and in VBA within Excel. But I cannot get it to work in VB2008 or VB2010. If I try to access it the subroutines in the DLL I get either, 1) Structure of DLL invalid error or 2) Cannot find the DLL error.
Here is my VB2010 code for a smaller demo app that came with the FORTRAN development system. Again, this works with VB6 and VBA but not with VB.net

I'm using the "Add New Data Source" wizard in Visual Studio 2008 to connect to an Access database ".accdb" but I keep getting an error message when I try to finish the wizard....
