Sep 1, 2010I would like to have the ability to watch my IP camera view via Visual Basic 2010 and VLC plugin.My camera works as a Web Server and it has a 'User Name' and a 'Password' in order to be accessed.I use the code below:
vlc1.addtarget("rtsp:ipofcamera:554mpeg4/media.amp",Nullable,AxVLC.VLCPlayListMode.VLCPlayListInsert,0)
vlc1.play()
And nothing happens.If I replase the "rtsp" with a file path and name to our Hard Disk,the video works fine.How can I use RTSP?How can I store the UserName and Password for my Camera in VB source code?

Apr 6, 2010I have this program im making it is supposed to be a basketball game monitor. The user enters two teams and the 12 players on each team then it has you pick the 5 active players and takes you to the run form where you can start the game once started you can add things like fouls and baskets made and attempted if a player gets 5 fouls or you hit stop clock you change which players are active and its supposed to update the database through the dataset and dataadapter but it doesnt seem to update the database with the info put in the datagrid view.
Here is the code of the run form i will also attach source in zip file if needed to point out mess ups
Update: When you hit resume game after change of players is when it puts zero on everyone again.

Jun 22, 2010I want to know how can I make a program what will work in any type of resolution & monitor. For example if I make an application fullscreen it will work. But problem is that text boxes or another things will not work properly. For example if I make a program & make it fullscreen for 1440 * 900 resolution it will work fine when it will get 1440 * 900 resolution. But when it will get different resolution like 1280 * 1024 or something like that it will make my application fullscreen but buttons or another things will not be present there in same place. So what should I do to get rid of this problem? All I want to make a program what will adjust itself everywhere(though you change resolution or monitor like 17 inch or 29 inch whatever it will work & buttons & another thinks will be there in same place).

May 21, 2010Where I work we need to rewrite a bunch of tools for a software package called ArcGIS. These tools were written in VB6, by someone who is a very beginner programmer.We need to transition these to .NET in order to work with a new release of the ArcGIS software due to come out soon. I am having trouble convincing the 'powers that be' that we need to take a new approach to the development of these tools. they are all in a single VB Project, but what I want to do is to break these tools up into seperate projects in either VB or C#, compile dll's, and then use them as needed.....more of a 'modular' approach in my eyes. That way many people can develop many tools at the same time.
Can anyone point me to some weblinks or articles on how to properly develop in a team environment so I can try to convince the powers that be that we need to change the way we are doing things.

VS 2008 Team Edition Database Professional
Aug 19, 2009I have VS2005 Team Edition Database Professional installed on my laptop along with VS Team Edition Database Pro, not a problem so far. When I installed the VS2008 we were using SQL Server 2005 as your databases so when asked to the database for database projects I selected my SQL 2005 installation. Now we have moved some of your databases (all new projects) to SQL 2008. When I try and create a Database Schema compare I get an error on Field types (we decided to use Date data type for one field instead of DateTime). I have since installed SQL 2008 Express so that I can create the projects in the 2008 version of SQL Server.

Mar 8, 2012The application I want to make is what I would call quite simple, you will have two text boxes where you enter in two team names.
i.e.
Team 1 v Team 2
Then below a little search button. And then when you click the button it will show a percentage of whom is most likely to win. Now I know that I would have to most likely enter something like
Team 1 v Team 2 WIN Team 1
Team 1 v Team 3 LOSS Team 1
Team 1 v Team 4 WIN Team 1
In some kind of script for this to work so when you search for

Its in a For loop that generates random numbers then counts each instance of them given a user upper and lower bound + number to generate.
The loop:
For intCount As Integer = 0 To intGen - 1
intRandom = rnd.Next(intLow, intUp + 1)
intArray(intRandom - intUp) += 1
Next
I have a global intArray() and then a reDim intArray(intUp - intLow)
intLow, intUp, and intGen are where the user upper and lower bounds are stored. Any help on why its throwing this would be appreciated I'm pretty new to this and can not figure out why.
