Is it possible to make the scrollbars in my webbrowser a thin black line which moves up and down, instead of the usual ones?So its just a black line (maybe 3pt thick) which is OVER the content, on the right hand side. So as you scroll the black line changes size like a normal scrollbar, but it isn't separated from the content, its actually over the top of it.Sort of like the scrollbars on an iPhone if you've seen them.
View 3 RepliesI'm making a workflowdesigner to create workflows on a canvas with wpf and vb.net. I have made it possible to draw lines(relations) between objects with a nice function. Now I want to implement a way to delete a relation. I add a onclick handler on the shape but the line is very thin and hard to click. I've heard to draw 2 lines 1 with a thicker stroke thickness, but this isn't possible since the drawline method is heavy on the cpu.

Under the MouseLeftButtonUp event handker store the first coordinates of the lines second endpoint. Then call the length method to obtain the distance between the two endpoints(the lines length). Fianlly display the line on the canvas and the line's length in the Length=Label. Below is the code I have so far. There are no errors, but when I run the application nothing happens.

I am using the cursor converter to set both

the reason for setting both is that otherwise the cursor will not always have the desired appearance. I know that cursors can be rendered in color, like 3D-Bronze, windows animated, hands and variations.
I'm not positive if this should be here or in graphics so I'm sorry if I'm posting it in the wrong section.I'm trying to make a program for the game Go. Now before getting upset that I want to make the game go I just want to say that I have looked for months for this specific thing and I still have yet to find it. I want to make something to simulate go so that two people can play on the same computer. The problem I ran into was capturing stones. Stones are captured when surrounded and then they are taken from the board. The problem is that I don't know how to make the program know when a black stone is surrounded.
I have thought of a grid detecting but the possibilites on a 19x19 area are too high for anybody to sit down and program. I have also thought of using picture boxes and the edges to detect other pictures, but there are ways for stones to group together and the opponent must surround all stones to capture them.
I am trying to make a calculator program. I would like the display(text box) to have a white background, with black font. So I set the "enabled" property of the textbox to "false"(because I want it to display, not receive input) and then choose the background colour to be white. In the form designer, the text colour is black, which is what I want.But when I start debugging, the text becomes the colour of the form. How can I make the font black?
View 3 RepliesI have a custom bar code app running on .Net 2.0 framework and installed on a Windows Terminal Server. I'm using HP type thin clients and they are pulling their desktop from the TS that has my barcode app installed on it.For the most part, the barcode app runs with no problem. The only issue I have, is that my barcode app needs to print labels to a specific printer based on the work center that the thin client is located in. The barcode app was designed to route the labels based on the device name (Windows name) of the system that the barcode transaction originated from.I have full blown Windows XP Pro systems also running the barcode app and I have no problem with the label routing because each of those type systems has a unique name that I can use for routing. Where I'm running into a problem is that the barcode app running from the thin clients, appears (from the barcode app's point of view) to running from the Terminal Server not the individual thin clients.
Does anyone have any idea how I can pull some type of unique identifier from these thin clients to use within the barcode app to use for routing of the labels?
I am developing application in VB.Net (dot net framework 4.0) and SQL Server 2008 R2.will it work sucessfully on thin client machine

I have already activated the port mapping, and tested the communication (successfully) with PuTTY. How ever when trying to use my software y receive a message The selected port name is invalid, or it is not a serial port.I have already made some successful tests with a common PC with positive results.

The documents are stored in a folder, and in an accessdatabase stands the information about the documents.The program also includes a simple search option. The program itself is located in a folder on a network computer.It has to be a network program for collegues can add other examples.Now it gets weird. at least in my opinion.When I run the program locally -> no problem.When I run the program from another network PC -> no problem.But when I run the program from a network Thin Client -> shaboom..At least when I enter a search option and the connection to the database is opened:"Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security pollcy. And the trust issue can be handled with caspol or web.config. Although caspol is a mystery to me and web.config didn't seem to work.But since it's so explicitly crashing on Thin Clients.

View 15 Replies[Using VB.NET 2010 / targeting the .NET 2.0 framework]I'm getting some unexpected behavior with panel scrollbars, and was wondering if it is a bug, or simply something that I'm failing to do correctly.Basically, I have a panel with Autoscroll enabled. Then I put some other items inside the panel, and then make the panel smaller, so that the panel's scrollbars appear.
Outside of the panel I have 2 buttons -- named "scrollOn" and "scrollOff", which turn the panel's scrollbar's on and off using the "Autoscroll" property (for example the "scrollOff" code I'm using is Panel1.AutoScroll = False ).
So after I run the program, I move the panel's scrollbar down a little bit with the mouse (this part is necessary to reproduce the bug). I then click the "scrollOff" button (which should make the scrollbars disappear). But when I do that, the scrollbars are not only still visible, but they "freeze up" (can't move them with the mouse anymore).

View 1 RepliesI have 2 richtextboxes on a form and I want to link their vertical scrollbars i.e. ifrichtextbox1's scroll bar is moved then richtextbox2's scroll bar moves by the same amount.The reason for this is that both richtextboxes will contain almost identical text barring a few differences in the second richtextbox. By linking the scroll bars my hope is that the user can better compare the textboxes for any differences between them. I have looked at trying to find a scroll bar property but can not find one. View 1 RepliesI have MDI parent and child windows that were working fine but now clicking on a dropdown doesn't do anything, also scrollbars cannot be moved. Other controls are still ok, buttons and other links are still working. I should also note that if I change the child to load in a separate window all the controls work again.

I have a LIstView to display four columns. I have fixed the width of LIstView to 400 and this width is divied proportionately amongst the four columns . The code is working perfectly. The problem is with the horizontal bar on the bottom of LIstView. When the number of records to display in LIstview acceed the height of LIstView, the horizontal scrollbar hides some digits of the last column of listview and i have to scroll to right to see the whole contents of last column. settings in Properties Window or the code for seeing the entire last column without scrolling the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of LIstview.
