I cannot seem to make my for next loop work for a class project. Essentially, I have a list box that is populated with strings of numbers. I am required to use a loop to sum the total of the numbers in the list box and display them in a label. I chose to use a For Next loop. However, it's not working. With this code all happens ok and a new text file is created with the desired name-list with added numbers.The only problem is that the last name doesn't get a number added from 0 till 99 but for example 0 till 17.

I need the total = cost for day 1(includes day 1) + cost for day 2(includes day 1 and 2) + cost for day 3(includes day 1, 2, and 3).....up to day 12. I have a for/next loop in my array, but it calculates the total for 12 days, but I need it to add as explained above. I have been strategizing and the program needs V= day 1 then add V to T. Then V needs to clear and then loop again so V=day 1 + day 2 then add V to T. Then V needs to clear and loop again so V=day 1 + day 2 + day 3 then add V to T and clear V.........up until all days are added together. I recently made a simple pseudo-encryption program that changes each character into another. It is capable of encrypting and decrypting a string. This can also be done to any text file as well. The characters range from ASCII 32-254 (This on it's own may be an issue because of #127 being DEL).
Because I believed my own coding may be at fault, I attempted this with Triple Des with identical results.For Triple Des, the requirements for en/decryption was:
Encrypt: String to Byte
Decrypt: Byte to String
And to change them either direction, I used UTF8. I also attempted ASCII and UTF32, but I don't know what I should do. I am considering dropping this but I want to learn problems like this because I am currently in college and haven't started my core classes for programming yet and want the head start.
The point where I have come into a problem is attempting to do this to another file type like an image. I looked at the results from encrypting then decrypting and the results were similar, but it seems file encoding must be the culprit.
I am trying something new and that is VB2008. I have two numbers 12 and 15. I have made my form but now I need to make the code. I need to make a code that takes two numbers 12 and 15 and gets the max number out of those two numbers, which is 15.

I'm using a case statement to verify the zone, but VS2010, helpful as it is, removes the the lead zeros, after which said zip codes won't verify.strZip is put in through a text box, and a debug.writeline will tell me that VS stores it correctly, with the leading zeros. But when I get to the Case statement, it just will not let me look for a zero initiated number. I felt I was doing well by going with a string rather than something more numerical, but that apparently isn't enough.

Where lines that do not contain those certain numbers show up in textbox1.text.For Instance.In the code I want it to ignore all lines that contain "1234" and "1645" when it reads Accessed.txt, and output every line that does not contain those numbers.
