In a test project, I am attempting to fill 10 different text boxes, named tb1, tb2....etc with the following code with a value between $00.00 and $99.00. The following code seems to work except that it always generates the same value, in each of the text boxes. What am I overlooking that prevents this from generating a new value for each text box?[code]...

The batch section should generate a new random value and write it every time it do the loop, but...It is repeating values. There are more than one line with the same value. What I'm doing wrong?
The exception message I am receiving is this... "Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime."
Now I've traced my values being passed and everything is correct. Values loops through 1 to 12 but still I continue to receive an exception. Only way I can avoid this is by throwing a Try, Catch statement around where I'm passing over the value.

I am using a string builder to set up an html table row by row so that it can be emailed. I currently gather my information from the database using a data reader and while dataReader.read, I use stringbuilder.Append to add each cell value to the table.The issue is that after about 200 rows, the html breaks and displays a cell value above the table in the email. I have tried changing the cell padding, but this was not successful.

The results are much more consistent and evenly distributed if I use the same Random generator.I would have thought the opposite,because creating a new Random generator each time should reduce the number of random repetitions, if a different time slice is used to create the random number.[code]......

View 4 RepliesI am practicing using the drawing commands, and have gotten a grass background and black happy face that moves around the background.It's a 10x10 grid of 50 pixels.I want (at the moment, when i press enter) it to generate a random number of trees (15 ~ 25) at random locations on the background. VS2010 (SP1) / .NET 4 on Windows XP. The question is simple, the answer; not so much. When generating a salt, should the LENGTH of the salt be random, fixed or a random number within a (min/max) range? I am using RNGCryptoServiceProvider to generate the salt, just unsure of the length of the salt.

I have a DEM file(Digital Elevattion Model File) and I am trying to open the file,where we have Latitude and Longitude values inside the DEM file.And, Now I have opened the file using Filestream and Read the file using BinaryReader.But, I am having a trobule in getting the values of Latitude and Longitude.I am getting Byte values randomly as 1,202,31,271 etc.But, we dont have latitude and longitude values more than 180,and also I am not getting 16 bit UInt values.For example, the values should be like Latitude 20.00416666666667 and Longitude 39.99583333333333.So,read the correct Byte values of the DEM file.The code I have used till now is:

lets say I have a form (form1) with lables a-z which are all designed with default text "0". So they all show 0 on program startup. which is fine. I also have a dialog with 2 TextBoxes; I want my program to update the default text/value on (only)form1 labels x, y and z to whatever was put into the textboxes when i press the OK button on the Dialog, so these specified labels show the 'new' value on next startup.
