I know that I can populate a menu using a .INI file but I was wondering if it can be done using an XML file. I would like to be able to add parent and children menu items.
Below is a sample of what I want my XML to look like.

I can get the form names to be populated in to the menu and can open it my question is how do i set where the menu items will be placed. Eg File with FormHierarch 0 will be the very first one. Exit with FormHierarch 0.1 will be the very first one under File

We have a lot of PDF documents and would like to save information filled in by the user in SQL database and then pre-populate the answers in multiple PDFs for printing. We'd also want user to digitally sign the pdf and store the signature in database. Ideally I'd like to create VB project with form that users would fill in and then information should "flow" into existing PDF. Then later I'd setup some reports based on user-filled information. We probably will purchase Adobe LifeCycle software to use with PDF.

The loading of xml is no problem i have done that a million times over, the problem seems to be able to fill the treeview with content. My problem is this: I have a treeview with this in it:
-Race
|-HQ
|-TROOP
|-ETC...
now... the program loads all units from xml. so when it encounters for instance a unit with a "<class>" tag containing HQ, how do i make it put it in the HQ node? I cant make it put new nodes into existing ones, only into new ones....

In my product table I have product no, product description and category no. In the category table i have category no and category desciption. So this is where Ive been stuck for the entire day, I want my combox(product) to populate based on what is in the combobox(category). On a word document I would like to populate same data captured via User Form on multiple locations of a document... i.e. LastName I would like to appear on salutation paragraph and also in the body of the letter... I used REF LastName on the document when using VBA but it seems the same document when it is being populated via a VB application this skim does not work and instead "Error! I have a form, frm1 w/a combobox, cboLocations, which is being populated using a sql string. There is also a frm2 w/a series of textboxes and other comboboxes. I want it so that once a selection is made from cboLocations, the textboxes and comboboxes on frm 2 are populated with the corresponding data. Here is what I have so far:

What's happening right now is that I make a selection from cboLocations on frm1 and click on the OK button, frm2 loads, but none of the textboxes are populating and one of the comboboxes, cboDepot, shows the different data when you click on the down arrow, but it's not displaying anything it its text field when frm2 loads.
On Form Load I populate a menu with all possible colors so they user can pick a color. However when they pick a color the forecolor of my label is not changed.

This task is a little out of my reach so i dont even really know where to start...I want a user to click the command field "select" in my gridview. I then want them to be redirected ( response.redirect()) to an input form that will have its various asp.net text boxes filled with data from that selected item. I also need the ability to do this logical process:

I've been trying to figure out the easiest way to populate a menu to allow for easy updating in the future. I would like to add anything to a specific folder and when the program runs it would be populated by the contents of the specific folder. Is this possible? What should I look into to do this? Not sure of the process to use to do this, that is if it is even possible.

Next I have two other tables called Result_Header and Result_Detail. The Result_Header table has ProductId as a foreign key and BatchNo,TestDate etc. The Result_Detail table has ResultId as a foreign key which is the ResultHeaders Primary Key and other fields such as Result,SpecHi etc. What I need is when I select a Product from my combobox my two datagridviews must be populated via the Result_header and Result_detail tables respectively.
View 20 RepliesVisual Basic 2010 Express: I have a form with a combobox that is populated with the names of locations from a datagrid which in turn was imported at run-time (Form_Load) from an Excel database. The Excel database (and the datagrid) also stores the information for addresses and phone numbers for their respective locations.
What I would like to do is have the phone number and address text boxes automatically be updated with the proper corresponding data when the user selects a location from the combobox. Whether the text boxes are updated from the datagrid or Excel database is not a concern; I'm mainly looking for whichever way is simpler.
I'm trying to make a menu based off of an asp.net sitemap. How do you nest the sitemap nodes so that they all appear on the same level. Here is what I have:
