Populating Series Of Textboxes Using Control Arrays

I am having trouble with .net again. I have a series of 10 text boxes. I want to be able to populate them from an array and read there values into another array. In vb6 I would create a text box array with 10 text boxes / indices. I could then populate them by txtbox(i).text = arrVal(i) and to reference them arrVal(i) = txtbox(i). I am stumped I can create 10 text boxes on a form if I have to, but I want them somehow tied to each other as they were in vb6.

as always I'm here asking you a probably stupid question, but I'm upgrading an old vb 6 project, so I'd like to have all the new code more object oriented and as compact as possible.I have a groupbox containing some textboxes. Each of them is filled with the "selecteditem.tostring" property of a listbox everytime I press a button (call it "OK BUTTON"), and everything works fine.

I had problem with one textbox (texbox were third in row but while you used TAB it were as last), so I recreated all buttons in right order, but now it is totally wrong, when I click TAB it goes to first textbox, again TAB and it goes to 7th in ROW !instead to second in row :/ Weird thing is that I created all those textbox in row so 1 text box -> 2nd textbox etc. so I thought TAB will just go in order of creation, but it's not.How can I rearrange order of focus on text boxes while you using TAB ?? All those txt boxes has Tab Index = 23...

I'm having trouble reading in the file and populating the textboxes accordingly. After loading the file (I think that is) nothing is being populated in any of the textboxes listed below. Basically I'm not sure if the file is being read or not.

Have a main form with textboxes on it. When the user clicks a hyperlink on that main form it pops up a new form that they drag and drop files to either a listbox or textboxes, that part works fine. All the seperate form is doing is simply grabbing the filename to bring back to the mainform. That is working correctly. What it is then supposed back on the main form is read the files, again the reading part is working fine, based on the read it's supposed to populate the textboxes on the main form. When I have the listbox that the user drops the file into on the main form rather than a seperate form it works fine, form size limitaton and aestetics are why I'm using a seperate form. When I debug it it's working fine, I can't figure out where it's dropping the info because line by line it does everything right and it shows the values in debug correctly, however when the main form regains focus the values do not appear as they would if I loaded the file directly into that main form.

I'm trying to populate textboxes on one form based on a selection on a combobox on another form. All data will be pulling from the same SQL table. I've got the combox to work fine to show the correct data in one of the textboxes by using the lines:

this is how I set up my data object for a file parser. (

and it loads mytable like this:
mytable(x)(y, i) = sToken(i)
Let me explain the indices, I have a form with a tab control. In mytable,x is the tab number. Each tab has up to 5 groups which is y. Each group has 17 text boxes, i.Each group also has 17 labels.I started looking at Me.controls, and looking at control properties like tabindex for some way to iterate through the textboxes and mytable to load the textboxes.
so I started with:
for x = 0 to 31
msgbox(group1.control(x).text
next x
and I saw how all my objects are not in sequence as it descending halfway through my label controls, then switched to my textboxes, and then seemingly finished randomly. I am at a total loss without the old index property and what I want to do is something like (forgive my syntax)
Form(0).Tab(x).group(y).textbox(i).text = mytable(x)(y, i)
I was thinking of manually setting the tabindex of all textboxes in group1 to sequential order to try something like:
group1.component.tabindex(i).text = mytable(x)(y, i)
To me this is fun and challenging, but also very frustrating and makes me miss coding in assembly As I can't seem to find any reference to the tree structure of accessing components indirectly, if that makes sense.

I have a database with table "Customer" that will be the datasource for my form controls. My form has a combobox and various textboxes that need to change based on the selectedvalue in the combobox, cboCustNo. Firstly, I'm try to get the combobox to populate with the customer names on the table but have the value member of the combobox set to their customer numbers (just for ease of indexing). Based on the user's selection I'm trying to have various textboxes show the corresponding data (Address, City, Balance, etc.). The code I have so far is below:

On my form, i've got some textboxes and some richtextboxes. I'm using the following code, to search through the text properties of each of the two types of control. see below:-

I'm currently making a program that will be used to practice German. It reads from textfiles that have English words (noted by # prefix) and German words (noted by $ prefix). An example of this:
#hello $hallo
#good $gut
#evening $abends
The way it currently works is it loads a text file, finds all # and splits to an array called "English" and finds all $ and splits it to an array called "German" What I want it to now do is feed the "English" entries into textboxes on the left, and "German" onto textboxes on the right so I can then match them out and make a sort of memory game out of it. Unfortunately, I don't know how I would loop an array through multiple textboxes. Conveniently, the textboxes on the left have even numbers, and the ones on the right have odd. Is there a way to possibly find all evenly numbered textboxes and loop "English" array entries into them, and the same for "German"? I've realised this has now gotten a little convoluted, but hopefully somebody understands. I can screenshot the form for better explanation, and copy my existing source code if anybody wants it.

Im starting to learn how to use the chart control in VB .how you create a "new" column because atm all the time i add series it puts them side by side.Ive looked at the documentation for the control and the examples but they dont seem to cover this , or i could find it .Now how would i assign each series to a new point?So item 1 would go above column 1 and item 2 above column 2 etc.The code i have at the moment is a test code .

I would think you would need a variable for each series. The function is below. I would think that if there were 5 series that each of the "Dataseries" variables should have their own name. I think my subject sums up what I am interested in knowing. I am looking to create a chart where Series1 is from Table1, Series2 is from Table2 in the given Dataset. My code below doesn't throw any errors, but it appears to be grabbing the data for each series from the first table.

[code]Whenever my GridView populates, if there is no value to return from my _dataSet for a field, my GridView stops populating after that. Shouldn't it skip that and continue populating the rest of the grid? It seems the GridView won't accept an empty/null value. is?

My windows application uses a webservice (sql server backend) and now I'm trying to create a new form that has a datagridview control on it and I'm uncertain how to set it's datasource. I'm using visual studio 2005 and I have little experience using the datagridview control. In my webservice, I started the code that will be the datasource - should i be returning a dataset? I know that this code isn't correct, but I'm not sure what it needs:

If it is a dropdown it needs to get its values from a CSV in a corresponding column. I have a SP that returns a these in table form if passed the id of the relevant row.How do I get that is from the gridview to pass to the drop down and load it correctly?

I know the code to find the input boxes in question.. basically the html is like so HTML <input type="text" name="username" class="inputbox"> i know enough to use WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.GetElementsByName("username") to find the text box...but I need to know how to send the contents of say TextBox1.text to the form on the web page...i can't figure it out for crap...I just assume give up and use sendkeys to tab to the textbox even thought its 80% unreliable....
