Power Point Slides Or Splash Screens In Form?

I have some apppliction....interface is good but its not that advance in visual style...so i manage to implement power point slide in web browser (webbrowser.navigate "pps "to twick the look of the program...but when im changing the tabs or opening other windows and then go back to tab where is pps it wont refresh properly.(web browser spec. fill)And i got flickering when im changing tabs or pages.
1.Is it because i have slow comp?
2.Or it have another way (faster) to implement power point slides in application instead of the web browser?
3.Or in general the visual basic is a poor program(when u talking about visual stile) that have some limitations and works very slow when u implementing some visual staff?

I am using VB 2008 Express: The template forms for splash and about screens have a background image
consisting of 3 circles (orange, green and blue).I would like to use this image throughout my app,
but can't find it anywhere.Does anyone know where this is located in the visual studio program

I am looking for away to include a power point slide show inside a form in vb.net 2005. Office 2007 will be installe on all of the client machines which run the program. I have found ways to launch and control a power point slide show in an exteral window, but no way to attcah it and place it on the form window.

add notes in the powerpoint slides notes part under the powerpoint slide.using Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint. I'm using vb.net code.Now it si creating the ppt file and I can add text,comments,image. in the slide . But I need to add notes in the powerpoint slide , in the bottom part of the slide.

Using VS2008 and all I want to do is have a page where the user clicks on a button and the Save File Dialog pops up, the user finds the Power Point doc using the Save File Dialog popup. Once the Power Point doc is found the user clicks on the Save button on the Save File Dialog popup. And the Power Point doc is then saved to a server on the network.

I have been working on a small hack around with Power Point to automatically create a Text Box Shape with some preset effect in which the text is dynamically fetched from clipboard. I have quiet a bit of a problem here, the functionality works fine with the following VB script with macros.

I have 2 screens, and 2 forms. I want each form to fill a screen, so I did the following code:
s = Screen.AllScreens
f1.Bounds = s(0).Bounds
f2.Bounds = s(1).Bounds
(s(0) is my primary screen, and s(1) is above it.) F1 fills s(0), but f2 does not fill s(1). The size of f2 is set correctly but the location is set to (50, 0) instead of (0, -1024). Maybe location won't accept negative numbers? If so, how can I get my form to the other screen?

I made a program on a computer with a big screen.I set it to open in 'maxamized state' , and I took away the top, so you can't close/resize/minimize it. How can I get the form to automatically resize to the screen size??

How can I get x and y coordinates of a control's location on a form relative to the Screens Top Left corner?
For example, if I have 3 labels on a form and I want label2 and label3 to display the x and y of label1 relative to the screens top and left corner.
When running the app, as the form's possition is changed label 2 and 3 update the coordinate of Label1's possition relative to the top left of the screen.

I created my program in VB 2005 on my XP machine at home and installed PP3 to take advantage of the printform component. It worsk great for my purposes and was easy to install and code.However when I brought my un-compiled code to my office which runs Win 2000 I got an error, saying I didnt have the correct version. I assumed it would be back ward compatible, never assume especially in programming.
So my question is can I just delete all references to printform component on my program and install power pack2 , which does support Win 2000 and XP then re-install print component.Or is there another way to make this work? I am not finding alot of information on the web other then Power pack 3 doesnt support Win 2000?

I'm currently doing a program to search for text in powerpoint files using interop in vb.net 2005. When a user does a search, it will open the powerpoint (.ppt) file and do the search. This is working fine.What I want to achieve next is if the powerpoint file is already opened, I want the program to search for text in the opened powerpoint file (without opening the file again in ReadOnly mode).How can I do that..? I mean, I need to first search the list of opened program to see if the powerpoint file is opened and then i need to somehow cause my program to gain control of the opened powerpoint file before I can do a search right..? How can I do that..?

I have a code which when used, firstly application will run the Splash Screen application. Splash Screen will be active for several second, and then the main of application will show in full screen. Before the user use the application, user must Log in first. This works but the problem is that it loads the splash and login form twice. To worsen the situation, the second login form that appears gives access to the system even when the cancel button is clicked while the first login form just works fine. trying to print a Form that I created using a VB.Net console application. My console application creates an instance of a Windows Form and fills it with data. I then created an instance of the Print Form class from the Microsoft Power Pack and am trying to get the form I filled with data to print but no matter what I've tried it just prints the command console window.

I have a code in vb.net 2010 which when executed,should load the splash screen for a few seconds,then load the main form,but this main form will only be active after a user logs in with the correct password.I have implemented the code but its giving me an error of two splash screens and two login forms.The 1st splash appears which gives way to the login form.When i enter the correct password and click OK,it again displays another splash screen which again gives way to a second login form.The second login form even has a bigger problem.It logs me into the system even when i click the cancel button.

I'm writing a small app which I want to display a splash screen. The problem is my form 1 is appearing before the splash screen disappears. In fact is appears on startup blocking the splash screen. I have some code in form_load and have managed to figure out which line is causing the error, but I cant figure out why or how to prevent it.
The line reads
LoadSettings()
If I comment out this line everything runs fine and there's nothing in that sub that should affect form1. I'm doing this in vb express 2010.
Here's the code for my form_load:

I am experiencing an annoying problem with my second for when it opens. Here is the code :

None of these makes any difference. If issue a Close() on form1, the entire program closes and not just form1. Is there a property I need to tweak or set on either of the forms to stop/fix this?
What I am trying to do is show a splash screen then the next form. I have given them the option to "skip" the splash screen if they don't want to see it any longer and this is where I am having the problem.

I have a splash form that opens in the following Sub of the main form of the app[code]...
The Splash Form opens and closes fine, but no controls (a text box and a graphic, on a panel) appear on the form. I knew I was probably missing something (this was far easier than anything I found searching), but at least the form opens and closes. The app actually starts with a SubMain, which is only used to control how it opens with it's registered file type.
