I'd love to be able to do it at the class level at the declaration for readability and simplicity.

C# - Change A Component Name In A Component Designer In WinForms .Net
Jan 8, 2010I've created a component whose name I'd like to be able to change while editing in the component tray. I've added a Designer action for a name property, but now I'm stuck.
Looking at the property grid, I can see that the name property is parenthesised, indicating that it's not a regular property.

Jan 12, 2011Had this matter on Xp machine and visual studio 2010 ultimate after windows update between december and january: even the simplest windows form program crash on start when starting for debug (inside Ide, F5) unless putting breakpoints on each line of the autogenerated (and marked as "debugger step thorugh") code.(see: [URL]) I was wondering if this matter affects only Xp machines, or if someone with Seven or Vista had same matter.

I've tried WebKit.NET, but it didn't have progress bar support. I also tried xlurunner but it had no printing support. Is there another web browser component that has both printing support and progressbar support? I shouldn't have to omit features from my browser just to get a better rendering engine.

Edit (06/03/09): Well, I'm confused. so as to work properly, my COM+ component needs it's dll to be registered. Why not? But then, how to be sure I'm making a COM+ call, and not a COM one?

Can Not Create An ActiveX Component
Nov 1, 2009I didnt know if this was the correct location to post this kind of question. My code is in C# however I am using the visualBasic. Interaction. CreateObject to connect to a OCX file. I notice that this works great for a while but if it continues to do its job for lets say a few days then I get and exception... "Can not create an ActiveX component." I am 100% sure that the ocx and dlls are registed correctly to the system.

Loads the Autocad correctly. But for second time if run the application the following runtime error is occuring. Jul 26, 2010I am developing a VB2008 application that makes use of the Office Access runtime.I started development on Win7 64-bit & Visa 32-bit machines.The application runs just fine on the machines with VB2008 installed.I have used a number of tools to build the application installation and I am running into the same thing on all target test machines (currently XP Pro).The system fails when the Office Access portion of the code starts to run.Below is the Just-In-Time debug info.
I also notice that .NET 2 is being called.Is it wise to make .Net3x the preferred .Net client?In the application, I have specificed .Net3 (however, it does not look like it is being called).The target test machine (XP Pro) has .Net 2.3 and 4 installed.See the end of this message for details on invoking

Recently I implemented cut-copy-paste functionality to one of the DataGridViews.
What is the best way to add same functionalities to all the other DataGridViews .
P.S. I don't want to create a new component which inherits DataGridView and re-define all the DataGridViews.

Event Handling In C# Component Through Dll?
Dec 15, 2011I've been trying to figure out how to get this control to work for over a week. It can be found here: A Professional Calendar/Agenda View That You Will Use - CodeProject. It's a calendar/scheduler control that was designed using c# and I'm trying to use it in my vb.net app. I've sucessfully created a dll and have referenced that dll in my project and am able to see the controls in the toolbox as well as put them on my form. My problem is that I can't get ANY of the code that I wrote in the form to fire. No event handlers will work, not even the form_load which handles the mybase.load event. Nada. f a reason that this might be? How do I sucessfully add a handler to the events? I've used <code> addhandler monthView1.SelectionChanged, addressof (and nothing I put here ever works) </code>
