Rain Fall Statistics (Arrays)?

Im Wirting a Program that ask a user to Input Rain Fall of Each Month Im using Arrays for this, then once a user clicks on Display Stats, the user should see Annaul Rain Fall, Average Rain fall, Min Rain Fall and finaly Max Rain Fall,Ok any way the Program is Working away but the Min and Max Rain fall is Showing 0.

I am trying to write a code using VB 2008 (console) thats ask's the user to enetr the rainfall for the month. At the end of the year it will give him the average, total, highest, and lowest rainfall for the year. I have wrote the code for total and average but I have no idea where to start for higest and lowest month. I want it to display the month (July) and the measurement (6.3) for the higest and lowest month. This is what I have so far.

In one of my programs I have a datatable on which i calculate different statistics for different subgroups. In my opinion this is as very timeconsuming proces (at least my solution). I was wondering if there is not a more effecient solution.

In our company we are using PHP to display graph from statistics in SQL over webpage. So anywhere just access the website and input the date will display statistics over the webpage of the company.
My question now is, will VB.net can do that to link SQL and display it over the webpage? Or do I need to have special software to use?
If VB.net can do it? Is there any tutorial link you can recommend for me? Video link much better.

I'm a novice that has developed a data processing application for which statistics regarding the processing status are recorded in the application window. All works well until an arbitrary point at which the statistical upates to the window cease. When the application finishes, then the application window properly displays the final results. However, intermediate to the completion of the application, all updates to the status window are suspended. Can you please inform me of the means by which I can continue to display the status updates when other activities appear to interrupt the updates prior to completion?

I want to make a game statistics calculator. For this I choose to make a XML database with the base stats of the characters.
I've made a small XML file in the VS2010 project with 1 class stats and made a list to 10 levels (to lazy atm to write all 85).
the XML looks like this:

On the Form1.vb I've to combo boxes, 1 to display class names and 1 for levels.
Also have some Labels to display i.e. the base_STR number. But after trying random stuff to get it linked and closed VB to restart again because it was messed up too much

I have a new application that i am trying to release on my desktop but after it installs it pops up the Cannot Start application dialog window with application cannot be started. contact the application vendor inside the msgbox. Details...> ERROR SUMMARY Below is a summary of the errors, details of these errors are listed later in the log.

But the crazy part is if i release the same program no changes to the code on my laptop i have no problems with it what so ever. Before you say it i cant just keep using my laptop because i dont like having my personal laptop at work.

This is code i'm using to create socket, when program runs... and when i hit start button it calls Q_SendHeader function.[code]This works fine in VB6... but Q_SendHeader is not working in VB.Net 2005.

How to Add Not condition in the below select case.Is <> works for single value, and 'To' works for a Range but the value are specific values there are not series of numbers. Is it possible to use select case in this scenario, or do i have to switch to if-else. Ex: i don't want case to execute when value is 0 and 3.

Using this [URL] to retrieve both address and place name at the same time ("//span[@class='listingTitle']|//div[@class='address']/text()[normalize-space(.)]"), I can get a list of placenames and addresses like this in a richtextbox:

The first line is bad, it doesnt have an address. Line 2 and 4 are good, they have addresses. So what I could do is:Check each line,if the following line doesnt contain "numbers + ON" then delete line. This will leave me with PlaceNames followed by addresses, which I will then split every other line into a new textbox, (so I have one textbox with placenames, and another with addresses).

I'm writing a program that (amongst other things) provides an IDE-like environment for the user where they can select one or more objects with a rectangualr selection tool.All selections will be a simple rectangle, and all selectable objects will be simple rectangles as well.I already have the code (VB.Net) to create the rubber-banding effect visually - what I need is an efficient algorithm that will tell me what objects have at least a portion of their area within the final selection rectangle.

I am trying to go through a datatable and sort records that fall within a certain criteria, one being distance.I have a function that will get the distance between two points based on Lon/Lat and my records in table have Lon/Lat Values

In VB6 I load a recordset containg all of the records (6 fields per record)in a table into an XArray and then manipulate the records in the array and then write them back to the original table. The array issorted by the first field (1 to maybe 8000 or more) I need to find records in the array by an ID field and then move them (because of some external criteria that happens many times) from say number 400 to number 375. Then all of the other records between 375 and 399 were renumbered up 1 to fill the gaps left by the move.
The XArray worked well as it could find and also move to a next record easily to facilitate the revisions to each record quickly. Everything is done in VB6 in code and nothing visual needs to be shown to the user until say 2000 of these external changes are complete. What is the best, most efficient way to do this in the .Net framework in VB2010. Datasets, Dataviews. tableadapters, arrays. enums ?

I have a VB.net console app and I am opening a function in a dll written in fortran. I am passing 3 arrays through the function by reference. When they come back out the otherside they ahve all tunred to arrays of only one element And that element is 0.I read on the internet somewhere that when doing this kind of thing it is a good idea to only pass the first element of the array into the function.I tried changing my function declaration to accepting single elements rather than single dimensional arrays, and now the arrays are the same length before and after the function call, but they don't seem to be changing at all, so i'm not sure that this is working

I am developing a computer application designed to monitor the network and CPU statistics on a computer remotely. The monitored computer would have my program installed and the monitoring computer would display, in a form, the information being sent from the remote client.The application does not send any information regarding packets, user names, passwords, etc. It is solely meant for monitoring CPU performance and Network resources remotely.
What would be the best method to send this information over to my host machine?I am programing in Visual Studio 2008 on windows XP. The client machine is also XP. I know this sounds a little shady, but it is required for my little business (http://www.iquorum.net) to monitor what and when something happens on our machines when I and my employees are away.
