Salary Application Code - Enter Any Number, "Double Array()" Shows Up In That List Box?

I'm having trouble finishing up this salary program which is designed to calculate salary based on gross sales while using arrays. Essentially, when the Calculate Salary click event is initiated after salary is entered, either $200 should show up in the list box or, if the persons sales were over $5,000, a calculation of their sales * 9% + 200 should show up in the list box. Right now, anytime I enter any number, "Double Array()" shows up in that list box. Additionally, a bar graph is supposed to supposed to be displayed in the lower list box showing how many people are in certain categories starting from "$200-$299" through "over $999". These results should be shown when the Show Totals click event is initiated.

I'm new with VB programming and would like to know if anyone can look/test this code I have written. I don't have the ability to test right now because I'm at work and can't get VB installed on my desktop. Create an application that allows the user to select or enter into a combo box the number of days a person will work, and calculates the total amount of pay she will receive over that period of time. Salary is one penny the first day, two pennies the second day, four pennies the third say, and continuing to double each day.
The combo box must list the following items: 30, 180, 365, and 1000. Must be the default drop down box. Use a validating event procedure on the combo box.
The program should go through a loop once for each day, doubling the number of pennies with each iteration of the loop. You will need a running totl of the number of pennies that you add to with each iteration. To calculate the total amount of pay, multiply the total number of pennies by .01 and show the result in currency format.

In VS 2008, VB.Net, I am successful connecting to a local SQL Server (version 8) and seeing all tables/views/procedures in Server Explorer. The local OS is Win XP Pro SP3. I created an ODBC data source to a remote SQL server (also version 8) with a database of the same structure as the local one. The connection tests out ok. The remote computer runs Windows Server 2000 SP4. In the VS 2008 Server Explorer I add this ODBC source. When I click on the plus-signs to expand items, neither the tables nor the views show anything, whereas the full list of procedures appears. Is it the old SQL Server version? Is it the old Server OS version? Something else alltogether?

I am making a minor basket system which the user selects a number of products from a datagrid and it adds them to a basket using an array list (arrItemID).However on the ViewBasket form I want another datagrid however a query is formed listing the selected products. I have a situation where I am handling both single & double mouse click events on a form. In both cases something has to be loaded, however when a double click occurs, I do not wish to execute the code attached to the single click event.Is there a way to intercept the mouse click's and check if double or single and then execute the right event appropriately?

I am supposed to create a program in my VB.net class to do the following:
1. Prompt the user to enter the beginning number and the ending number.
2. Find the sum of the even numbers between these two values, inclusive.

We are currently using for next statements in the class. I know how to prompt for and utilize the numbers that are input etc. My problem is the EVEN numbers part. I obviously have to determine if the number is even and then use a step value of 2 from there. But not sure how to determine if number is even or odd (guessing to use mod, but totally lost).

i have been working on a simple program but cant get my head around it. It does not show any errors at the moment but when i run it does not do the things i would like it to do. I will paste in the code first and explain it below.

So basically the form has help button to show instructions, quit to quit the program and check to check whether the country from listbox lstCountries matches the correct capital in lstCapitals. The idea of the program is to shuffle the items in two arraylists and then add them to seperate listboxes called lstCountries and lstCapitals. At start i used 1 dimensional array and it worked like a charm for mixing up items in arrays and then adding them to listboxes, but then the problem had to match the correct Country with correct Capital and it only worked if i picked the items on the same index such as 1 and 1(straight line). It all sounds complicated and confusing, P.S alot of code is commented out, because i have tried many ways to make it work.

The code below is used to check if the application setting, an arraylist is populated or not via the count method.
When running the program fails with error "NullReferenceException was unhandled" as initially the setting (arraylist) will contain no values.In similar circumstances I would declare a new instance of the object or set value to string.empty or check if DBNull.
I know application settings have a save method but to reference/load them one is not needed.I also left the value field in the projects -> settings to be empty.[code]...

I have a program that will compare an array of grocery list items glist and an array of coupon item clist.When I compare the two and if there is a match somewhere in the array I want to have a picturebox visible.When there is no match, I want the picture box not to be visible. [code] The code seems to work great until I come to the else statement.When the code finds a match it displays the picture box and the msgbox without error, but as soon as the message box is cleared, even though i've input it as an ELSE statement, the picturebox goes false again.Does anyone have any idea of how I can "hold" the picturebox to stay visible while the match between the arrays exists?

I have to create a form that I enter the price of gas each month over a year. I enter the price in a text box and click the enter button to send the price to a list box immediatley and use an array. I have the following code but I don't think it's working with the array correctly as it will let me enter the information but doesn't stop letting me enter after the 12 prices. I'm converting a user generated list box to an array and then generating a user defined number of random strings and placing it in a textbox.The code I have works fine as it will generate the number of random strings the user wants, except sometimes a line is blank at the top of the list but is counted as a string.

just hoping that someone may be able to assist me to convert system.array to double() array.
Declarations are as follows:
Private f_Data As System.Array
Private f_Measures() As Double
Private f_NumberOfObservations As Integer
I then 'fill' f_Data from a range in an Excel worksheet as follows:
f_Data = wsXLSData.Range(wsXLSData.Cells(1,1), wsXLSData.Cells(8, 1)).Value
This seems to work OK. Upon checking f_Data is indeed filled with 8 double type numbers.
I then try to convert this system.array to a double array as follows:
For i As Integer = 0 To f_NumberOfObservations - 1
f_Measures(i) = f_Data(i + 1, 1).value
Next
I then get an error pointing to the line ' f_Measures(i) = f_Data(i + 1, 1).value' of type MissingMemberException was unhandled by user code'
