If we need to send all song from all rows to USB Flash what should we add some more code?

I have two datagridview's both are databound. First one shows items for sale and the second stores all the items that were sold. I am trying too transfer selected rows from one to the other but no matter what I keep getting told "Rows cannot be programmatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is data-bound."

If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. Can anyone tell me why "Rows cannot be programmatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is data-bound." I keep getting an error "Invalid Operation Exception was Unhandled" error. All I am attempting to do is allow the user to select products from a list(or a second datagridview) and have it added to the datagridview so they do not have to type in every cell since the other cells are not visible because they do not purtain to their needs. Plus they will be able to save all items at the same time.

Am not sure whether am using the right approach to my problem. See i have this datagridview that contains rows that i would like have saved back into the Database as new rows but with a column altered to a new value.
Eg

What am looking at is Change FKColumn2 (some foreign key, maybe i can also have a combo box somewhere on the form and an "import to") values to something like 2 and save the rows back to the database without loosing the original rows.
I have several problems with rows in a DataGridView. Background information: The DataGridView (DataGridViewCalib) is in one TabPage of a TabControl, some columns of the DataGridView are automatically DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn as the DataSource have some colums which are Boolean. This is a Windows Form written in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2008. The user loads an input data file.
The problems:
1) At first arrival in the TabPage, ShowDataGridViewCalib (code below) is called. All rows are then shown in the DataGridView, despite the code saying that some rows should not be visible. Breakpoints in the code show that the code do arrive at the Rows.Visible = False events. Despite all rows beeing shown a Watch in the debugger shows that:

I have a form with two listboxes. The user selected the directory using a FolderBrowserDialog1 then my program searches the directory and displays a list of files. They them select the files they want to store under a project name and the names are placed in a database. My problem is it stores the mapped file path not the network path. (ie N:examples estfile.txt I need \myserverexamples estfiles.txt) That is because the person that reads this database may not have their network drives mapped to the same letters.

When dealing with the 32 bit folder, I can just easily use this: Environment.SpecialFolder.ProgramFiles.I couldn't find a way to target the 64 bit folder without hard coding the path. View 5 RepliesI created a VB.NET Winforms app a while ago that printed drawings. The way it did this was to copy files from a network share to the folder for a plotter's que. This plotter would automatically just print anything that was dropped into this folder, which was specified with a path like \Btltmkeng_plt_q. I would do this by using the System.IO.File.Copy method. This worked well, until the company switched to a new printer. When my app copies the file, the printer only prints blank pages.
However, if I open two Windows Explorer apps, and manually drag the file from the network folder to the printer que folder, it works! This proves that the printer can handle these files if they are properly copied. Therefore, I was wondering if there were "alternate" methods for copying files in VB. I tried using the My.Computer.FileSystem.CopyFile method, but that just error out saying it could not find the target folder. Is there another method that more closely resembles what happens when files are copied using Windows Explorer?
We have an app that needs to access network resources. It's written in VB.Net. The application can't access the files on another server via a UNC path. How can we find out what user the application is truly running as and how can it be changed? We tried this KB from Microsoft... but it didn't work.

Is there a way to write a list of all paths and file names of currently open files. The best I can do is use the System.Diagnostics.Process class to grab the processes of the applications in which I am interested and then get the file name from the main window title for each process. There is no way to get the path for these files, however, with this approach.
View 5 RepliesI have created a sub folder (named 'Data') under my project through the solution explorer. I also have created a text file (data.txt) inside the new sub folder. This text file is used to store information such as settings and connections.
I can check the file using the full path. However, I want to avoid errors such as moving the project folder to a different location. Is there anyway to check using a relative path? File.Exists("~Datadata.txt")
Or is it better to create it under Application.StartupPath?

I'm trying to copy files to the CD Drive using My.Computer.FileSystem.CopyFile. I use the FolderBrowserDialog for my destination and add the filename at the end. When I try this on the Hard Drive and also a flash drive, it works just fine, but when I try this on a CD Drive, I get the following message: Could not find part of the path 'E:'. How do I add rows based on that number? So if 2 is entered two rows are added.
In the combobox's players name are added from a textfile.
