I'm working on a project with includes a student login system and Staff control. This has been successful although i am trying to find out how to show specific user information from the student login.The project is based on students getting points for "good behaviour and attendance" which is controlled by staff who teach them and students can redeem the points on set prices e.g. from pens to cinema tickets.Here is my student login code

I am trying to retrieve file date information into an array to select the newest file from a directory. I can get a file listing but not the date information by useing DirectoryInfo(). My experience is with Visual FoxPro. In VFP I used a function ADIR() - which returns the directory listing and related file info as an array - is there a similar function in .net?
View 3 RepliesA form I created, was able to modify and shows when the program is run has suddenly changed in the solution explorer. Now when the form "MainMenu.vb" is highlighted in the solution explorer the icon for "view designer" vanishes from the toolbar. The "view code" shows "MainMenu.vb" but there is not any code there and only an empty "General" and "Declarations" show. The icon to the left of the "MainMenu.vb" is like a module icon not a form icon.

In the properties panel, I set DropDownStyle to "DropDownList" (i don't want it to be editable) and the Items to be[code]....

The first line is the song's title and group name. The second is the songs genre. The third line is the songs length, 4.25 is 4 minutes and 25 seconds.upon clicking a button, I need to display a playlist from this .txt file based on the number of minutes the band has to play, minutes entered into a TextBox, and the songs genre, selected from a ComboBox. The songs cannot repeat and must be random.I have already coded the program to read the .txt file but have not clue where to start with the rest.

Instead of having country in the datagrid, I want to use it in a combobox to display records base on country selected.what i did (with wizard) doesnt work fine though. My country combobox shows duplicate data and the datagrid is showing all the records from different country. In one word I JUST DID NOTHING.

I am currently having a headache on how to solve this problem that i am facing. here is the situation: I have a combobox and a list box on the main form. The combobox will get the data from the ms access database. In the database, i have the details of a person's IC, Name and DOB say for eg on one entry I have D215311523C,SHAWN,13/04/1987 So now, my combobox on form load will show the list of dates in the database to allow the user to search base on the date itself by clicking on the selected date. So when the user clicks on the particular date say 13/04/1987, people in the database whose birthday is 13/04/1987 will be shown on the listbox.Meaning to say if i have 3 entries whose dates are the same 13/04/1987, 3 entries will appear. If there is only two entry, then two results will be shown. But now, when i do a single click on the date, one result will be shown. That is correct. But the problem is when i click on the same date again, three of the same results will be shown on the list box. that is it will display : 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 13/04/1987 which is not the case. Then it will show more duplicates of the same results if i click more times on the same date which should not be the case.

View 1 RepliesThe program is currently trying to pull information from three different database tables and compiling the information onto one screen, to do this i am using three different connections and a function to handle the data at each stage. The issue is as my code hits PageLoadStage of "2" and runs the QueryDatabase() Function i am encountering an error of: "OleDB exception unhandled: No value given for one or more of the required parameters." This occurs on line 15 of the first code snippet. Can anyone explain this and/or identify any code issues if that is the cause.
